I’ve been making quite a few purchases from Bike Gear over the past couple of months, and I have to say, it’s been an absolute pleasure dealing with Akash. The guy is sharp—his responses are like quicksilver, and his timeline accuracy is on point. I’ll admit, I had my initial doubts, but Akash has made the process seamless.

Sourcing high-end gear has become quite a challenge these days, but Bike Gear manages to make it happen—kudos for that! One small piece of advice: consider using a better courier service. My first Shoei 3 helmet was shipped via DTDC, which was a less-than-ideal experience. However, after suggesting a switch, the next consignment arrived via a better service, and it made all the difference.

This is my third purchase from BikeGear.in… the first two were in 2014 when I started riding and when riding wasn’t a big thing in India. I got an Alpinestar jacket and an Airoh helmet back then (those were the days when the availability of riding gear in India was almost zero). I got a Schuberth Helmet recently and they were able to deliver it before time and in perfect condition. The availability of products and service is top notch.

The latest instance was when I urgently needed a good waterproof boots for my Ladakh expedition. I’ve ordered a lot of stuff from them over the last couple of years, they are very resourceful in terms of sourcing products at a good price and super responsive as well. They also helped me with replacement when an incorrect item was delivered by mistake.

Ordered a Shoei GT Air 3 helmet. Helmet was delivered to my doorstep in a little over 6 weeks from the order date. Akash was very transparent on the timelines and updates. My only suggestion would be to look at a priority courier service rather than a regular courier service once the product clears customs and is locally shipped. Although the box was pretty beaten up, helmet and the other contents in the box were all in pristine condition. But I would not mind paying a little extra for my expensive package to be taken care well in transit.

This is the second time I have purchased a helmet from bike gear.in. The first being an AGV k6 for my wife and recently the AIROh Commander2 for myself. I have been interacting with Aakash and have received excellent input from him. He has taken the time to explain the products and validate my choices which made the process very personal. I was looking for a particular colour option in the Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS helmet. Even though they don't have it on their website, they've added it and sourced it just for me after contacting them about availability. I'd say genuine products, good customer service, and quick replies via the dedicated customer support team on WhatsApp to any concerns or queries throughout the delivery process. The only negative I felt was that the packaging could be better. It came out straight for delivery in the Bell helmet box (just duct taped all around) rather than placing it inside another box, so it took all the beating during transit and was not in a good shape. Initially, looking at the packaging, I was worried about potential damage to the helmet inside, but the helmet was alright. I'd suggest they place the original box inside a slightly larger packaging box and ship them in the future to prevent any damage to the product in transit, since some of the products on their website are very expensive and can be most valuable for the customer. Apart from that, I'd recommend buying from them.
