Ive never dealt with so many unscrupulous individuals. They don't allow each individual auction company to have feedback left on them to warn the public. One illegal operation after another! They need to be investigated as it all seems criminal!

Sharks and scammers, work in conclusion with Peacock for example and you end up paying 41.5% on top of the hammer price. Do NOT register online just go to auction direct. They prey on people not viewing but buying online, then, on collection often find it's a pile of rubbish. Use other sites and auctions like Wellers that are far better.

Will never use this site again it’s a total scam
You bid on an item which as only seconds to end once your bid is placed and your the highest bidder and you think you have won they then add 10mins back on to the bidding time. Totally scam and misleading. Stick with EBay

Do not trust this platform with your money or your personal data. BidSpotter provides the infrastructure that auction houses rely on, yet takes no responsibility when those same auction houses engage in abusive or dishonest conduct.
I experienced a situation in which an auction house retained my money without delivering the goods and then blocked all further communication. When I contacted BidSpotter for assistance, their response was dismissive and unhelpful. They claim auctioneers are independent, yet they actively provide a Public Block system that allows auction houses to damage a buyer’s reputation simply for disputing a transaction.
By allowing auction houses to keep funds without fulfilling their obligations, and by giving them tools to silence or penalise customers, BidSpotter enables this behaviour. There is no meaningful consumer protection and no accountability.
I have formally requested the closure of my account and the erasure of my personal data under GDPR. If you value your money or your peace of mind, use a platform that properly vets its sellers and offers real protection to buyers. On this site, buyers are treated as disposable.

This is a scam webpage. I have bid on a few items during the auction and won. But they have extended the auction time and cancelled my bids while claiming their site is down.

There are a lot of different scams on this site.

Some will demand you pay in advance. But then never provide you with an opportunity to pick-up what you paid for.

Others will avoid even giving you payment information, if the item doesn't go high enough. So they can label you a "no pay" and resell the item.

And the website itself does nothing to police the sellers on their website. They know this stuff goes on, but won't protect buyers. Nor do they remove shady sellers.

I bought a van which stated it was a runner be it noisey and bit smokey. The van was not a runner as the engine was completey broken so therefore didn't even start so how they they said it was noisey and smokey is beyond me. A clear case of misrepresentation. Its disgusting, I have a small business and this has massively affected my business and caused me lots of stress.

Participated in an auction where items were somehow being bid on after the timer on my screen counted down to 0. There was a syncing issue during the auction and nothing was done about it. No integrity in the auction and no answers other than "sorry for the inconvenience."

I have never had any problems with Bid Spotter. I'm glad they exist. It's a place where you can see multiple auctions from specific countries. I do however have problems with specific auctioneers. Problems such as lack of communication. When asking their persons on site [at the auction site] to inform me when my items are ready to pick up no one contacts me and I loose the items and my money. This is a fairly frequent occurance on low cost items. I contact the auctioneers but have never received a reply. I would say this has happened 4 times in 5 years.

PLEASE STAY CLEAR! it's only a platform to cover up scamming auctions that are con men rude and uneducated!!!

I was extremely displeased with Bidspotter, as there were 1,000's of items that were to end today. Then, they notified us all, the auction was extended for 24 hours because of such high interest. Thinking I had over 24 hours left to bid, they suddenly decide out of nowhere to end auctions today, without notice of them changing plan for the second time. Now, upon calling them, they said they ended it early because a buyer offered more for the 1,000's of telescopes we were bidding on.. How is this even legal Needless? It seems there end should be bound as we are; after all, it's a legal agreement between both parties, us and them. What do you expect from a California company I guess,, liberal madness,, no loyalty. Hey dumb asses, you would have gotten much more from individuals. You have no ideal. In your own words, you extended the auction do to high interest. Then you backstab everyone again, by ending it short. Needless to say, I lost out on many opportunities. Now I see why people say they suck. I even took a picture of their notification.

Its seems like all these reviews poor are about specific Auctioneers on Bid spotter. I have been buying equipment from this site for years with no problem. Just read the fine print and there are no surprises.

I have opportunities to use this portal several times. Here is my experience

Scenario 1: I submitted bid at last 1-2, min. Bid doesn't get reset and ended.
Scenario 2: I was lead when bid ends. But I didn't win. The explanation was someone had max bid on it.

Stay away, Anthony, the owner is a shady character, knowingly has misleading and factually incorrect title and description. When you call him out on it he defends it and/or blames the help. Certainly a red flag. I was a customer for over a year and always had reservations and wondered about the bidding, get out bid then see the same item on his next auction, happens more than once, very curious...
No longer a customer and I do not recommend! You have been warned!

AVOID AVOID AVOID - don't waste your time on this scam site. Auctions are often misleading and clearly rigged to favour certain bidders or types of bidders.To say this site is an exercise in wasting your time is an understatement.
From misleading ads, to misleading gobbldeygook to cover their backsides, it is an exercise in futility.

The more reputable auction houses even admit it.
Stay away from this horrid site

Perhaps the FCC or state AG's should look at this bait & screw site.

ACE Auctioneers is a shady company run by a shady character. He consistently bids on his own auctions and has admitted to it. Many times items that were sold in previous auctions magically show up again, many times.
