Supportive and skilled team with a healthy work culture
I worked at Bevium from May 2024 to July 2025 as a Gameplay Developer, and it was the most enjoyable experience I've had in the games industry so far.
The company is led by experienced Unreal Engine developers, and from day one, I always felt supported whenever I hit technical roadblocks. The culture is friendly, trust-based, and genuinely flexible — I had full freedom over my working hours, which helped me tremendously while balancing university with professional work.
Team communication was smooth, and the atmosphere always respectful and encouraging. We had regular meetings and playtests, but everything was arranged in advance to fit everyone's schedule.
The only challenges I saw were related to project organization. There wasn’t a dedicated project manager, so task tracking and branching strategy lacked structure, and code reviews weren’t a part of the regular workflow. But even some of these were handled with a lot of openness and initiative from the team, and overall, the work environment was excellent.
Bevium is a small but passionate company that truly values its people. They were consistently fair, transparent, and appreciative, and I’d be happy to work with them again in the future if the opportunity arises.
