Charged us full excess for a flap that "fell off" on a brand new van. It was directly underneath the fuel filler cap so if they've tried this with you it's definitely a scam. There is no way that flap could have fallen off on a brand new van so I'm inclined to believe that they tracked the location of the vehicle and detached themselves so they could take my excess. Beware DO NOT USE.

​This was hands-down the worst car rental experience of my life. If you value your money, your sanity, and your safety, stay as far away from B Rentals as possible. They are professional scammers.
​First of all, the condition of the car was repulsive. It was absolutely filthy inside—stained, sticky, and disgusting. I was literally afraid to touch the steering wheel without wiping it down first. It felt like it hadn't been cleaned in months.
​Second, the hidden fees are a total rip-off. They hit me with unexpected charges that were nowhere to be found in the official pricing. To make matters worse, they double-charged me for an airport fee that I had already fully paid in advance through the booking agent, Discovery Cars. They simply do not care about your pre-paid vouchers.
​But the absolute worst part was the drop-off. The return process was an absolute joke and dragged on for over 40 minutes. Because they took so long, I was on the verge of missing my flight. Taking advantage of this extreme time pressure, they practically extorted 560 EUR out of me for "damage" I absolutely did not cause. They claimed there was a dent underneath the car—something completely invisible unless you literally crawl on the ground to look under the vehicle.
​They held me hostage with the clock ticking, forcing me to pay for pre-existing damage just so I wouldn't miss my plane.
​This company uses predatory tactics, delivers disgusting vehicles, and robs customers blindly. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Avoid B Rentals Malta if you don't want your vacation ruined!

TOTAL SCAM AND A HIGHLY ORGANIZED RIP-OFF! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
We booked online for 2 days for a total of €18 (€10 paid online, the rest to be settled on-site). Once we arrived at the counter, the nightmare began:
1. Hidden fees right away: They slapped us with a €40 tax that came absolutely out of nowhere.
2. The bank card trap: When it came time to block the €1700 deposit, they claimed our debit card wasn’t accepted and that a credit card was mandatory. Of course, we were never warned about this condition beforehand.
3. Pure extortion: Magicly, they offered to accept our debit card anyway if we paid an extra €40! We refused this racket and asked for a refund. They categorically refused, stating "nothing is refundable."
4. Absolute bad faith: The agent at the counter had our card right under his nose from the very beginning. He made us pay all the hidden taxes first, only to tell us AT THE VERY END that the card wasn't accepted. Everything is calculated and planned in advance!
Customer service on the phone didn't care at all and ironically told us to call the police in a completely provocative manner. The staff on-site showed zero empathy. They even ended up calling security to intimidate us, and worst of all, security protects them!
It is an absolute shame that they are allowed to racket people with total impunity, right in the middle of an international airport.
In the end, we managed to charge back the payment through our bank, but they still succeeded in ruining an entire day of our vacation. These people are professional scammers. Avoid them and stick to reputable rental companies!

Rented a car and when I went to collect they offered me a lower standards which was not road worthy. They also charged the €30 airport fee everyone is talking about. I said this isn’t what I paid for and they didn’t care. I just left the car with them as it would have caused an accident. As a resident in Malta I followed them up a week later at their office and the lady said she can’t deal with it at the desk. I mean what the hell are they there for then!? Like everyone has said, scammers, rip off and how they are allowed to operate shows the level of care the authorities give to tourists. Still to AVIS and the better known places. I mean their service isn’t 5 star but it’s much better.

We book a car for 153€
Then at 1am when you pick up the car you are tired you learn that you must pay for additional insurgence
256 € !!!!
Plus fuel cost of 48€ for 20l while fuel is 1.3€ /l. If you ask why they tell you service ???
You can't refuse as the fuel is yet in the car!
The when you have pay nearly the double just for the insurance you are arrested by the police and you realized there are no insurance paper in the car!!!

To be completely honest, the car was very simple (even no parking assistance) but in good condition, clean .

Got charged 2 times for nothing, no explanation, no answer from company..

charge € 40 for a half a tank gas (worth € 15) (also not allowed under EU law).
Charge € 35 early return fee although there is no staff present. You just return into a key box.

Avoid Beecar / KWL Group Rentals – borderline scam
Beecar operates under several different brand names through the KWL Group — all from the same small office with just one person. The car I received was in terrible condition: the dashboard lit up with multiple warning lights, and the front tires were worn down to the safety limit.

At pickup, they tried to pressure me into buying their insurance even though I clearly explained I was already fully covered by a third party. The whole experience felt dishonest and unsafe.

Don’t waste your time or money — their cars are all high-mileage (100,000+ km), poorly maintained, and absolutely not worth the risk.

The rental car itself for 3 days was around €25. However, when we arrived we swiftly discovered that they had tacked an "airport fee" and an "after hours fee" - neither of which had been mentioned before we were sat in the office - which came to €65.

These fees were not in the fine print. They were not in any print. Book from these chancers at your peril.

This “KWL group”, a small operation by a family (from India from what I was told by their staff), apparently run a number of car rental labels in Malta, including “Beerentals”. Usually I prefer small family run companies, as they tend to offer better service than the multinationals. Not in this case though.
The short version: The whole thing feels not trustworthy to me. I seriously doubt the credibility of the many positive google reviews for this “bee rentals”, based on which I was lured to book with them. In fact they cannot be found in google at all any more, at the time I write this review.
The details in chronological order: (1) they added a hidden airport fee €30 on the invoice, which is highly unusual for airport based rentals internationally and hasn’t happened to me before in Malta, where I rent cars frequently. (2) they actually charged my credit card with the security deposit instead of only blocking the amount, contrary to the standard practice in the industry (in which I am myself since decades). (3) the security deposit was a whooping €1500, which is a lot for the small car category, and certainly more than the entire car I was given is worth (more on this presently). (4) although my flight arrived with 2 hrs delay, they wrote the original starting time in the rental contract. Again, quite unusual. (5) I was given a “similar” car to the one I booked, which was certainly not the SUV category advertised, but a minimum category. (6) the poor car was in a despicable condition: Battered everywhere, featuring countless scratches and bumps, dirty and seriously worn out on the inside, it had over 105.000km, the gearbox screeching.
So before I even exited the parking lot, the “KWL group” had ticked all the boxes for bad customer service and penny-pinching.
After a few kilometres of driving I came to very much doubt that the car was streetworthy. I returned it voluntarily after less than 48h (the booking was for more than a week) and after less than 40km because my life is not worth the risk.
People at KWL group, if you are reading this, let this veteran car find its final peace and don’t try to squeeze any more money out of it. Or out of your clients for that matter.
