My advance contract with beatBread reportedly expired months ago, yet they still have access to my account and collect royalties with no way for me to stop it. That feels illegal and really frustrating. Support took weeks to reply too
I had to go to arbitration over them. My late artists took this deal because it showed 2.8 % fee on the front page. In fine print however was a 34% “admin fee” that did not go back to paying off the loan meaning 34 cents of every dollar was just a fee, prior to paying back the loan itself. The CEO Peter Sinclair; rest in pi , made a review on here giving 5 stars to his own company.
This company is SCAM my contract expired with them in march 2025, yet some way some how they still have access to my account and my royalties go through them, and I have no way of stopping it.

Process was fast. At first, I thought their offers were low, but then they showed me that my streams were down by 50% in the past 6 weeks. I took a couple year deal and if I earn out faster, I keep most of the money. If i don't there are no interests an penalties. One thing was a little strange, they asked me if I could switch distributors. I didn't want to, even though they said I coudl have the same deal with 25% more money. I like my current distributor, onerpm, so i styed put. but overall, really good.
They lie to you and tell you they can give you 8x your annual earnings. I produced all the financials and should have had over 30,000 dollars in advance. They couldn’t come up with 1,000 dollars. This company is broke AF, they don’t have what they advertise. Then they tried to discriminate because my listener revenue came from YouTube and not spotify. Last time I checked, money is money. To top it off, their support team took 2 weeks to reply to my email and answer my question… 2 weeks!!!! Terrible colossal waste of time. Don’t waste your energy.

I see a lot of misleading information about Beatbread on this review site may be competition. For them to be an advanced company for independent artist, songwriters and producers there advance amount is pretty fair and percentages are super recoupable. And my opinion the only people up here who are upset are the ones who do not get an advance and get denied. If I was an artist or producer, I will talk over with my lawyer first, before I listen to some of these people.
first this company invents you’re streaming numbers despite the real numbers being displayed to you from you’re distributors, they do this to low ball you and take full control of you’re royalties and screw yoy out of money
they are a total scam

In 20 years of advance contracts with WB, Universal Republic, Sony Red, BMG and Kobalt, I have never seen such a messy, ignorantly term dropping bunch.
Strongly recommending Royalty Exchange or Sound Royalties as an alternative. Beatbread.com = questionable advertising. Incompetent yet dismissive staff. The deals are not valuated in 5 days. It took them 2 months. Tire kicking low ballers. The red flag was being asked turn in my reports and statements from all streams of income as if they weren’t uploaded and sent the previous 3x. Stating my final offer was due to unrecoupment, they urged me to sign and hounded me to speak with my label which required by my contract that I introduce a VP at BMG. AFTER signing the Beatbread advance contract on the offer, they asked the VP to explain terms on recoupment from a DIFFERENT company that has nothing to do with BMG, it was so cringey and obtuse. Do not trust these posers with your catalogs, they are clueless and want to close to collect up to double what you are offered, no explanation of portal for transparency, no negotiations period. Salt Lake City shark loan dressed up as music investors. Trying to be collect on an industry they know little about. Beware, safer, less yucky options elsewhere.
They offered one of my artist 75k another artist 6k and another artist 3k
They are a great company and you retain your masters and all rights. They turned down 2 artist but that was cool
In the past rocafella funded a camron album but wouldn't fund a Jim Jones album so that happens
I was declined for not being "big enough" despite this company being a fund for indie artists. The bar for indie success is way too high here.
