Spoke to Phil in BCA claims
Spoke to Phil in BCA claims, I collected the vehicle at BCA Bedford, I heard and felt knocking in which I immediately went back into branch and told them. They advised that an engineer would be out to diagnose, a young man turned up with no diagnostic machine drove it around the car park and said did not find anything. So he went inside and the other BCA agent called Jacob Brown was present so I told him to jump in the car and drove around the same car park and he told me he heard the noise. But as he’s not an engineer he would only be allowed to add on the system that I said I heard the knocking, then 5mins later after reaching the M1 the EML light illuminated. This is a clear error on BCA or its engineer either the fault code was cleared or the vehicle was not checked. As the report should have stated at a minimum that the vehicle was knocking/rattling as this can be heard and does not need to be driven. As stated by Phil that BCA don’t do drive tests so there's no way they would have known. Dekra engineers sent by BCA did not drive the vehicle to establish the vehicle was knocking.
Its clear to see that these facts show the timing chain issue was covered up by BCA
as no mention of knocking was declared at point of sale, this fact alone voids the contract of sale, but NO! As BCA have updated their terms so if a vehicle has a timing chain issue it does not need to be included on the mechanical report, what a scam. How can I buy another car from this scam company when they cover things up, and falsify mechanical reports, never again BCA!!!!!!!!!!!!
PE64 UUD LORRY CRASHED INTO ME.
Absolutely shocking company. One of their drivers PE64 UUD hit the back of my pick up on a roundabout going into Portsmouth, he was in the completely wrong lane and tried swerving across at the last minute. Fail to give me any details. His boss on the phone told he he doesn’t need to give any. It’s amazing how they knew if they give no details they would get away with it. Watch out for these drivers, I suggest if anyone of their drivers hits into you be careful. You may need to take matters into your own hands.
Bca Logistics CLUELESS
Bca Logistics
You can judge a service provider by the way they treat their employees. I worked for the company for over seven years and found them to be the worst. Poor pay, poor support, bad strategic logistics and poor H & S to employees. Their latest edict appears to be to limit fueling of cars to £10 a stop!!! Let you work out how many fuel stops on a 400 mile delivery!!! Absurd, if I ever need the services of such a company, it certainly won't be this one
Car Batteries Missing when Collected.
I dealt with BCA for many years as a bidder/buyer and could fill pages of reports on how Murphy's Law "If something can go wrong it will" applies to them. What was annoying was if you went to collect from them an auction-purchased car or HGV truck you knew that 10% of the time the car batteries would be missing presumed stolen. After discovering this: if you went to the vehicle car keys collection office to complain the staff on duty offered to find you another battery in return for a £10.00 tip, several times I watched them as they went into the yard and stole someone else's battery to give you. I once saw they had a collection of 8 presumed stolen batteries taken from vehicles lined up in their key shed to sell complainants. I am guessing that when other car buyers turned up in a similar position to myself and complained they may well have sold him his own vehicle stolen batteries back. These yard-men treat this activity as a joke, and not serious fraud and theft. This has been going on for years and appears unstoppable. I am certain other car dealers and trade plate collectors will support this allegation.
Friendly, polite, professional collection at end of lease
Returning a vehicle after four year lease, appointment made, phone call from Chris received an hour before he arrived, very fair appraisal of the car, it was a pick up truck but only used as a car, very thorough and professional as well as being approachable and friendly which was nice, carefully drove it away as I wiped a tear from my eye, credit where credit is due, thank you Chris
Every single car I bought from them…
Every single car I bought from them has…
Every single car I bought from them has issues, their conditional report and insured reports are absolutely inaccurate.
Every single claim I made for the supridsed faults within 24h , they rejected it, last vehicle I bought was supposed to have adblue light indicator based on report, however delivered as Non runner from Blackbushe branch, I did not accept the delivery as the driver confirmed the vehicle is Non runner.
I bought the vehicle as straight purchase Not an under hammer auction.
However after chasing matter, Blackbushe Manager try to avoid it and force to believe what she thinks it right in thier false report.
they try to scape from thier false information in the report and binding buyers to their untrue reports as part of their policy.
I will stand by this case to take the matter to court this time.
Their cars are sold as not described and unfair consumer acts 1979.
Please don't ignore your losses due to their negligence.
There is law to protect buyers, they can't force ANYs in their contracts
They must to correct thier contracts to protect buyers too.
Customer Service...no such thing at BCA!
My car was supposed to be collected from my workplace by BCA following the return of my electric car (electric cars...that's another story altogether!). On the day I was assured that an inspector would call me an hour before turning up, but sadly this didn't happen...he just appeared at around midday. Following the inspection of the car (clean bill of health), he told me the collection truck would arrive shortly, but would call beforehand.
Having heard nothing from them by 4.00pm, I contacted 'customer services' who assured me they would be there before I left work.
At 5.15pm I called again and was put on hold for 10mins while they checked...then they cut me off!
At 5.25pm I called again and was put on hold for 17mins...then they cut me off. By this time my lift had arrived to take me home (as I had arranged to be collected due to having no a car).
At 5.40 I called again and the number went dead...wouldn't even ring!
So I emailed all the addresses on their website to compain at the perthetic service in the hope that someone would have the common decency to contact me by the morning to rectify the situation.
Next morning I heard nothing and so I called VW Financial Services and made a formal complaint against BCA (their supplier). Incredibly, within minutes of my call, emails started pinging through from BCA and they miraculously arranged the collection...ABSOLUTELY USELESS BUNCH!
Customer of BCA for 30 Years.
Customer of BCA for 30 Years.
There has been a steep decline in customer service and aftercare. We are a small family run garage in Lincolnshire and have been a loyal customer of BCA for over 30 years, buying a large number of cars per year and have recently noticed a complete slip in customer service. An example of this, as a commercial garage we recently bought a car from a BCA auction, and on the day of collection, the driver had trouble starting it, having rang customer services we were told to tell him go into the Measham branch at the point of collection and report the issue. Nothing was done at this point, as they informed us that the report given is only valid on the day on which it was taken. If this is the case then what is the point of having these reports on vehicles, as these are what assure buyers that they are buying a sound vehicle. The driver was told no action was to be taken.
Having retrieved the vehicle back to our workshop, it soon became apparent that there was a major problems with the vehicle: It was not starting, but also with the automatic gearbox. There were no issues flagged up in the report which we as buyers were given at the point of sale and so we immediately reported it to BCA customer services. Over a week later, a loyal customer of BCA, we are still waiting for any response from BCA and keep repeatedly being told we will receive a phone call from a manager who is 'personally' handling this issue. We live in hope, but not much, for a phone call one day.
We are one of their "GOLD" card customers which obviously means nothing to them and regardless of account status there should be some aftercare especially when customers are buying cars that are clearly not fit for purpose!!
Shocking. No ID shown and drove it like he’d stole it
BCA collected my Mini after my PCP came to an end.
Initial contact with the customer service advisor was great. She made the appointment and I received lots of communication from them about what I should do prior to my car being collected and what the driver will do. I read these as it’s something I’ve not done before so wanted to ensure I was not missing anything for the day of collection.
I received the call approx 30 minutes before the driver arrived.
He came to the address with no formal ID or paperwork. I asked where his ID was and he looked confused I had asked and all he could offer was his driving licence claiming he doesn’t have any ID for BCA…..?!
I asked what paperwork he had to prove he worked for BCA and he replied ‘the phone’ he was holding and then said my ‘back pack’. The rucksack was a black rucksack with no logo of BCA on etc.
He took no more than 2 minutes to look at the car before driving off like he stole it.
I asked to see the photos he had taken and he said he’d taken them prior to me opening the door. (Not true as I saw him pull up and walk to my door and not even look at the car).
He asked me to sign something to which I asked what was I signing and he said the report. I asked to see this to see what he had documented about my car (my car was in excellent condition) and he said I’ve not noted any issues as the car is fine and in good condition.
I had to wait about 20 mins after he left to see that report where he had not made any notes on how many keys I had handed over, mileage, fuel etc
He drove out my road at ridiculous speeds, it’s a residential street with children out and about.
I emailed BCA to raise these points and the fact he stated he doesn’t wear or need ID…. No response.
Absolutely disgusting
** UPDATE**
I received via email on 6/6/23 my inspection report and the signature on the report IS NOT MINE. I’ve notified Mini finance, who are equally as shocking to inform them but it’s highly unlikely they will acknowledge my email either.

I purchased Discovery Sport and It's Windscreen Damage. It's never mention in Report and car condition very bad. many scratched and never mention in repot I contact with team and It's not accepted claim. It's over all big scam company.

BCA picked up our car on behalf of our lease company. They managed to clock up over 700 miles in 3 days. The journey back to their depot is 90 miles from collection, so it's anyone's guess where the driver had gone in it.
They tried to claim £4k in over mileage and £700 in damages. We had taken photographs of the whole car and mileage which went in our favour.
Photograph and document everything before they collect and go on a joy ride and then try to charge you for the pleasure.
Useless company
Useless company. I bought a new leased VW through an online broker who arranged for a main dealer to get it built, shipped and ultimately delivered to me. Sadly the dealer was not local to me so it was a driven delivery job. That's where the unfortunate involvement with BCA came in, they were to deliver it. The day before delivery they rang and confirmed address and said they'd call 1 hour before arrival. All was fine until then. On the day of delivery BCA managed to damage the brand new car. No coms no call. Eventually the broker rang mid afternoon to advise what had happened. He wasn't aware what damage had occurred but tried to help. Eventually BCA said they would deliver it from the local depot it had now arrived at, by 4pm. At 4.30 they said it would be 6pm. At 5.30 they said it would be 6.30 etc etc. Eventually it arrived long after the massive 9am - 5pm window had lapsed. The car, brand new and registered the day before was not only damaged (front arch had taken a smack from something) but was utterly filthy. I mean filthy like it was a 6 months old, covered in dust, dead flies, dried on bird poop, water marks, scrathes and swirls. God only knows what they did to it post the dealers pre delivery inspection. Driver was nice enough but he did forget to give me the keys and left so I had to chase him down the street to eventually get them. VW dealer or the nice broker are the only ones I will deal with re the repairs and obvious compensation for the awful experience and inconvenience. I wouldn't trust BCA with a push bike let alone give them the car.
scamming me out of money
I had a seat Leon on contract hire The car was pristine I loved the car and genuinely looked after the car with pride. On the day of inspection BCA come collected the car and stated the car is mint we don’t need to do a walk round check so I was happy as I new nothing was wrong with the car so let them take the car and that was the end of that I thought, Until they took £1520 out of my bank account without notifying me why and what for. When I rang they tried to say there was body work damage and tried charging me for a lost key however all of the above wasn’t correct as the car was pristine and both keys got handed back. In conclusion DO NOT deal with BCA logistics and stay as far away from the corrupt clowns. These are the type of organisations that get away with bully tactics and go unheard if they just rinse people all year long it disgusts me. Will not be dealing with them again and I consider anybody who is in a deal with BCA or thinking about dealing with them I’d advise to stay away.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would! They were meant to collect my old car sad deliver a new one at the same time. They turned up to collect without my new car. When I queried this I was assured my new car would be with me within the next couple of hours. So I stupidly let them take my old car. A few hours later and still no new car. They apparently couldn’t get hold of the driver that was delivering and he hadn’t even collected the new car from the dealership! He eventually got to the dealership at 3pm and said he would come straight to me (1hr 20 journey). 6pm and still no sign. No one could get hold of the driver. I stressed to them that I needed a car because I have two young children and needed to get them to school etc but the car didn’t arrive. They left me stranded with no communication. The next morning a different driver rang to say he is on the way to me with the car. So they kept the car overnight, god knows where, and turned up the next day like nothing happened. No apology or explanation. Absolutely outrageous.
Clocked mileage sold as "warranted mileage"
Usual Birmingham dodgy cars. This branch sold me a dodgy car a clocked mileage of almost 20k miles. They vehicle was listed as having a warranted mileage and when I sent the report showing the mileage discrepancy, they rejected my claim claiming I should have run a check on the car first before buying. I have attached a photo of the report. Buy from BCA at your own risk.
From Bad to worst
After being a loyal BCA buyer for over 40 years, I can’t believe the way they treat their customers. The customers service and Assured team are totally useless at resolving issues and are mostly unobtainable.
The last strew came when we purchased a Mercedes for almost 10k and they tried to deliver it as a none runner on skates, despite the Assured report, saying it’s a runner. They try to wash their hands of the issues, and pass you around different people.
Other cars are sold with wrong descriptions. Surely if BCA want to evolve as an on line selling platform, they need to do far better.
There are other better Auction companies, that are better to deal with, including Manheim, Aston Barclay, City Auctions, to name but a few, that are more honest and better to deal with.
Shambolic appalling service
Tried selling a car through them after I’d moved abroad because they said on the website that they’d transport it to the venue, after getting absolutely zero response for over a week I contacted them and still got no response. I contacted them again and was put in contact with Karen from the Manchester office. It was clear from her responses that Karen had no interest in helping me. She bluntly told me that they couldn’t transport the car so I’d have to take it there. I then wrote to complain and got absolutely no response again. I’m amazed that a company can be so completely incompetent and treat the people who are trying to make them money like this.
Disgusting member of staff spat at our building
One of BCA's drivers was delivering a car to a nearby garage and came to our office by mistake. The lady was incredibly rude and wouldn't have it that she was at the the wrong address. She swore at me and whilst walking away spat at our office building. Absolutely vile. If this is the calibre of staff they employ then it speaks volumes about their business.
Shambolic operation ,don’t call back or…
Shambolic operation ,don’t call back or seem interested ,even worse since they’ve gone online
Awful and disorganised service
Awful.
Purchased a car from them - charged me - failed to deliver when booked. It is impossible to get hold of anyone helpful just generic customer services who don’t support. I would NOT recommend using them.
They currently “don’t know” where the vehicle is but I am yet to see a refund or confirmation of next steps despite making contact multiple times. Atrocious.
