Misleading Product Description and Poor Refund Communication
I purchased the Barkt Bottle 3-in-1 Dog Water Bottle because it was marketed heavily around avoiding plastic exposure. The website uses phrases such as “no exposure to bacteria-harbouring plastic”, which reasonably gave the impression that water would not come into contact with plastic during use.
However, after receiving the product, I discovered that the bowls are plastic-lined internally and the lid is also plastic. This was not clearly explained on the product page, despite the bowls appearing stainless steel in the images.
I raised this concern with the company directly. Their response focused heavily on defending the wording and product presentation rather than acknowledging how a customer could reasonably interpret the claims. They eventually agreed to cover the return shipping cost after several emails.
The most disappointing part was the refund process. The return was delivered back on the 30th of April via tracked delivery with my order details enclosed inside the package, yet I received no communication or refund update and had to chase the matter myself nearly two weeks after delivery.
I appreciate that the company remained polite throughout, but clearer product descriptions and better communication would have prevented most of this experience.
