Banahosting.com is a scam operation. There is no way to contact them over the phone and they will not reply to your emails. They conspired with another local scam artist and so-called web designer in south Florida named Marilyn Chirinos and blocked our access to our own website which we paid for since last summer. Find another service like GoDaddy or Wix where you can actually speak with a human being.

We host a big website with them. Goes fine. But trust me. When their server goes down, they never respond to the tickets and wont attend the phone for hours. I wish I could upload screenshot of their support how they respond to urgent and high priority queries. As if they dont give a damn.

We have several years as Banahost client, overall we think they are good (3/5), need some improvements...

Positive things
+Their shared and reseller hosting services are still excellent (those using cpanel are easy to manage)
+Their prices are cheap and logic
+Their time response is decent (thru tickets)
+Their uptime is good, probably over 99%
+They offer good discounts for yearly payments

Negative thing
-Their VPS and dedicated servers are fast but wrongly configured
-The webuzo control panel is nothing but a pain: slow, non-working sections (weird redirections), false indications (like the size of your disk), old looking, etc.
-The FTP accounts and the backuply (service for backups) never worked on vps. Period.
-The customer service 80% of the time solve tech issues but there are about 20% of the time they just say "it's fixed" and clearly it's not. We used to send a tech ticket about 2-3 times per year.
-The setup for the VPS and dedicated are ridiculous, they take 3 to 5 days to finish it..
-From time to time, they make unnotified migrations of the shared, vps or dedicated servers and some services got strange or lost misconfigurations (specially on webmail)

Soy cliente de BanaHosting desde hace más de 8 años y he manejado al menos 3 cuentas activas con ellos durante este tiempo.

Durante años tuve un VPS antiguo (2 Core Xeon, 1.5 GB RAM, 30 GB SSD) por el cual pagaba más de $50 mensuales. Nunca me quejé, y en 8 años solo solicité soporte técnico 2 o 3 veces, siempre resolviendo por mi cuenta la mayoría de cosas.

Recientemente terminé estudios enfocados en automatización y decidí dar el siguiente paso profesional, por lo que confié nuevamente en BanaHosting y adquirí un NUEVO VPS para esta nueva etapa.

Lamentablemente, llevo más de 100 horas esperando que el VPS sea entregado correctamente.

Solicité explícitamente una instalación limpia de Ubuntu 22.04 SIN cPanel.
Se han equivocado en la configuración en dos ocasiones.
He esperado dos veces periodos de más de 48 horas.
Al ingresar con las credenciales root, el servidor aparece con cPanel/WHM instalado, cuando fue claramente indicado que NO debía instalarse.

Las únicas respuestas recibidas son mensajes genéricos como:
“Estamos trasladando esto al departamento correspondiente”.

No se me da un tiempo estimado.
No se confirman las características finales del VPS.
No puedo usar un servicio que ya estoy pagando.

Después de 8 años como cliente, asumí que podía contar con BanaHosting para esta nueva etapa profesional, pero queda claro que su infraestructura y soporte parecen haberse quedado en la época del VPS que contraté hace 8 años.

Para proyectos de automatización modernos, esta experiencia ha sido muy decepcionante.

Estoy considerando solicitar la devolución del dinero vía VISA, ya que por la forma en que manejan el soporte dudo incluso que un reembolso directo sea posible, y no me interesa crédito interno si el servicio y la atención ya no están a la altura.

Muy mala gestión en este caso.

Sacan una política nueva donde para que tú web funcione has de ampliar el plan no te avisan te modifican la URL y te dejan la web inactiva y se quedan tan panchos!

This hosting provider is protecting a fraudulent site that copied and stole our brand name and also our web design. They don't even answer the emails.

I have 3 services with them at the moment. 2 VPS servers and a shared one. The VPS are giving us nothing but trouble.
We're planning to move all our websites to a different hosting company, as Banahosting's customer service is simply horrible.
I do not recommend this company. Save yourself some headaches.

Completely disappointed. I'm paying for a semi-dedicated hosting service and the server went down for over 7 hours. You have no idea how much money I lost with my website down.

Muy buenos precios y soporte inmediato. Llevo desde el 2021

Llevó 5 años con ellos, el soporte es rapido y mis paginas van volando tengo el plan business. Lo recomiendo para web de negocios o servicios.

Llevo más de 9 años como cliente de Banahosting, pagando en promedio $70 USD mensuales, lo que significa que he invertido más de $7.500 USD en sus servicios. A pesar de eso, la atención al cliente es simplemente deplorable.

Intenté realizar un ajuste de fecha de facturación por un solo día, solicitando pagar el proporcional correspondiente (menos de $0.20 USD), como ellos mismos indican que es posible. La respuesta del soporte fue absurda: me exigieron pagar la factura completa + ese día adicional, lo que no tiene ningún sentido. Básicamente, si no pides nada, te "regalan" 3 días de gracia. Pero si solicitas algo lógico y proporcional, te rechazan con una rigidez sin criterio alguno.

Lo peor es que todas las respuestas vienen de la misma persona, que repite como robot el mismo texto una y otra vez, sin leer realmente lo que uno solicita. No hay escalamiento, no hay solución, y claramente no les importa lo más mínimo si eres cliente hace años o si has invertido miles de dólares.

Banahosting fue una buena empresa, pero hoy deja mucho que desear en cuanto a soporte y gestión. Si estás pensando en contratarlos, prepárate para quedarte solo cuando necesites algo que no esté en su libreto básico.

Contratamos a un técnico externo para desarrollar y hospedar el sitio web de nuestra empresa distribuidora de INSUMOS MEDICOS en El Salvador, dominio stomacenter.com.sv, a través de Banahosting. Lamentablemente, dicho técnico desapareció hace más de 50 días sin entregar accesos ni responder comunicaciones, dejando nuestro dominio y correos empresariales inaccesibles.

Como representante legal de la empresa titular del dominio, he solicitado de buena fe a Banahosting que me permitan recuperar el acceso mediante verificación alternativa (documento de identidad, registro del dominio ante SVNet, documentación legal). Su respuesta ha sido evasiva, burocrática y negligente, negándose a colaborar con quien puede demostrar legítimamente la propiedad del activo digital.

Esta situación no solo representa una obstrucción de operaciones comerciales, sino también una exposición de responsabilidad solidaria por permitir el secuestro técnico de cuentas sin atender con criterios de ciberseguridad o buena fe contractual.

Alertamos a otras empresas: si un técnico desaparece y ustedes necesitan recuperar el control de su sitio, Banahosting no tiene protocolos razonables para proteger al verdadero titular. Una empresa seria debe tener políticas para estas situaciones. No recomendamos sus servicios.

I'm very happy with the service. I update my websites approximately 14 hours a day and have never had any downtime. I only had a minor speed issue (about a 3-second delay) a few days ago, but I asked to be switched to another server, and they were very kind and prompt, and now everything works super fast. I've been using them continuously for over a year now, and I highly recommend them.

I have been a loyal BanaHosting customer for years, hosting multiple websites on their shared hosting plans.
Suddenly, without any prior warnings, they forced me to leave all my shared hosting accounts because of a newly enforced policy. They gave me only 24 hours to move or face suspension.

I was pushed into buying a much more expensive dedicated server directly from them — believing I had no other choice to keep my business alive.
After upgrading and suffering huge costs, I lost my clients and was left with no use for the service.

When I requested refunds for the canceled shared hosting plans and the new dedicated server (still within 30 days), BanaHosting refused everything.
They hid behind technicalities and offered no real customer support, no flexibility, and no respect for loyal customers.

In short:
Forced me to upgrade under pressure
Provided no refunds whatsoever
Ignored the spirit of fair service
Caused severe financial loss

Think very carefully before trusting BanaHosting with your websites or your money.
What happened to me can happen to anyone. Once you pay, you are on your own.

Llevo un buen tiempo usando Banahosting y la verdad me ha ido súper bien. El precio es justo, no me han subido nada raro, y el servicio es rápido. Mi página carga bien y hasta ahora no he tenido caídas. Lo que más me gusta es que el soporte responde rápido y en español, eso ayuda muchísimo. También es fácil de usar, incluso si no eres experto en esto de crear páginas. He probado otros hostings antes, pero me quedo con este. Lo recomiendo si estás empezando o si quieres algo bueno sin complicarte mucho.

En ese caso, hemos cancelado el nuevo plan y aplicado el pago a su otro plan activo.
Ahora solo debe pagar la factura o Invoice #2047790 del dominio que aún tiene por renovar.
