It all began in a high school engineering classroom. Avery Shannon was 18 at the time (now 23), when he set out on the journey to craft a lip balm that was unlike the rest. He was inspired to create his own lip balm after taking a harsh acne medication, which completely dried out his skin. Shannon wanted to avoid the chemical induced lip balm market, thus creating an organic lip balm that was one of a kind. During the course of his last year in high school, Shannon spent over 12 months trying to formulate the ideal balm. The smooth, long lasting, and creamy texture of his lip balm puts every hand poured tube above the rest. Through continuous trial and error he truly believes that his formula is one of a kind. During his formulation process, he had to scrap over 3,000 lip balm tubes to achieve the formula he has today. His commitment and love for organic skincare radiates through each individual tube of lip balm. ​ ​ Making the perfect lip balm for Shannon isn't simply a business... great balms, great company!

I love ordering from this company. The balms are gorgeous -- high quality, the scents are always creative and the ingredients are wholesome and never aggravate my allergies. Excellent customer service as well, and everything always arrives quickly and is packaged beautifully. I'm an incredibly satisfied customer!

We love Balm Standard

We love Balm Standard! My only complaint this time is my husband and I wanted to try the new cucumber mint, and we really don't care for the scent at all. We've been #1 fans for ya'll a long time but this scent missed the mark a bit for us. Loving all our other choices though!

Amazing would buy again

It’s great the vendor was so quick with the shipping out my order it got here so quick! The lip balms themselves smell amazing and are so smooth and hydrating. Also gave me a free lip balm I love it soo much

I've been using the Balm for years now

I've been using the Balm for years now. I cannot imagine a day in my Life without the Balm in it! I just ordered another pack after being generously gifted product samples by this amazing Company for the past few years.

You must try this amazing lip balm!

This lip balm is just fantastic!

This lip balm is just fantastic. I'll never use another balm. My current favourite is the new Rosé! I enjoy the variety of flavours. It has a pleasant taste on your lips. Shipped fast and securely. I will most likely buy more in the future.

It’s the balm

At the risk of exposing what a lip-balm-aholic I am, I will tell you my experience that leads me to believe this is the BEST LIP BALM IN THE WORLD! 🙃
I first purchased this lip balm at an adorable second hand shop in my city. After trying one out of curiosity, I was hooked and started picking up new ones from the shop all the time. For a little while, the shop didn’t have them available, so I googled the name on the tube and found the website. When I read the story of how balm standard came to be- I was even more hooked. High school ingenuity, backing by a teacher, and organic ingredients. SO COOL! I was not only super glad to be getting high quality product, but supporting someone’s dream.
I buy them by the dozen now, hand them out to my friends and kids, keep them in all corners of my house, and have one in every single bag I might grab for the day.
My most recent order, they had some new flavors. I’m always one to stick to what I know I love, but I ordered sweet lemon almond and rosé all day. Wish I would’ve packed my order with them, cause they’re so spot on!

I brought my first raw lip balm when…best lip balm

I brought my first raw lip balm when travelling down the coast of Californians 2018. I brought it from a gorgeous tiny little gift/ health food outlet. The lady serving me said it was made locally by a young local boy.
I was hooked and my little raw balm that sat by my reading table has finally ran out.
Packaging a lot different now but I’m sure my order will be the best lip balm coming out of USA.
