I had an abdominal ultrasound at The Milne Clinic, 51 Broomhill Road, Aberdeen AB10 6JA, on 9 April 2026, and I was extremely pleased with the service I received.

After comparing five clinics in Aberdeen, The Milne Clinic turned out to be the most affordable option. My scan covered the liver, kidneys, pancreas, bladder, spleen, and prostate, all for just £95, which I felt was excellent value.

During the scan, I was able to watch everything live on a large screen, and the sonographer clearly explained what I was seeing throughout the procedure, which I found very reassuring and informative.

I also received 10 images and a full report by email on the very same day, which was excellent service.

I honestly cannot praise the care, professionalism, and treatment I received highly enough, and I would have no hesitation in recommending The Milne Clinic to anyone needing an ultrasound scan.

We had an extremely distressing experience at Glasgow South Clinic and feel compelled to share it so others can make informed decisions.

My wife attended a scan due to cramping and bleeding—symptoms that clearly require careful and cautious clinical assessment. Despite there being no detectable heartbeat and no confirmation of a viable pregnancy, we were explicitly reassured by the sonographer that “everything was fine” and told to relax. This was not only misleading, but deeply irresponsible given the clinical circumstances.

We later sought a second opinion elsewhere, where we were informed—accurately—that the pregnancy was not viable. This only reinforced that the reassurance we received at this clinic was entirely inappropriate and fell well below acceptable clinical standards. The false hope given to us during an already traumatic time caused significant and avoidable emotional distress.

Following this, we submitted a formal complaint. Unfortunately, the handling of that complaint has been just as concerning. There were delays in communication, a lack of professionalism throughout, and we do not feel that the matter was investigated properly or transparently. We were also provided with information that we believe to be inaccurate and misleading.

Overall, this experience has raised serious concerns about clinical judgement, patient communication, and accountability. We would strongly urge others to exercise caution.

We believe patients deserve honesty, transparency, and competent care—especially in vulnerable situations. Sadly, this was not our experience here.

The receptionist was very welcoming and chatty and put me at ease. I had booked a scan for a yearly MOT to make sure all was well. The sonographer was just lovely and and talked me through what she was looking at and that everything was ok. This is not an expensive service and I would recommend to anyone who wants to do a health check.

If anyone’s looking for somewhere to get an ultrasound whilst doing treatment abroad, I’d really recommend BabyScan Me in Kilmarnock. I went yesterday for my baseline scan and they were genuinely so lovely and helpful. You also get a detailed report plus recordings from the scan. They mentioned they can do fertility blood tests as well.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at baby scanning Ltd /my baby scan. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease.
The sonographer, was incredibly professional and patient. They took the time to explain everything we were seeing on the screen and didn't rush us at all, even when the baby was being a little shy! The image quality was crystal clear—we left with some beautiful prints and videos that we will treasure forever.
If you are looking for a place that combines medical expertise with a really personal, magical touch, I cannot recommend them enough. Truly a 5-star experience!

I come to this clinic every 6 months to monitor a cyst and it is always a very pleasent experience. Very clean, and the stuff are very polite and professional. Thank you!

We booked an early viability scan at 6 weeks in the Aberdeen clinic, we were in and out in 5 minutes and found the whole experience very cold and impersonal. I wouldn't recommend this clinic and I would not return.

Editing to add: After receiving a phone call from a woman who wouldnt giver her name telling me they would only refund my payment if i deleted this review and failed to take the instance further. Since the organisation wont follow a proper complaints procedure specifically the one outlined on ther own policy and website , external authorities have been actioned and

I had a very upsetting experience at Baby Scanning Hamilton in early July. I attended for a reassurance scan at 9 weeks and was told that no heartbeat could be seen. The appointment felt rushed and emotionally cold. I was scanned quickly, given devastating news with no time to process it, and then sent on my way. I was also made to repeat a consent form I had already filled out online, while I was clearly flustered and distressed.

More concerningly the transvaginal scan was done with my body facing an unlocked door, with no privacy screen. I physically watched the sonographer leave and re enter the room without securing it, which made me feel completely exposed and humiliated.

I was later seen at hospital the next day, where a healthy heartbeat was confirmed and I was told that someone experienced should have been able to detect it particularly as I have a tilted uterus, something that wasn’t handled properly during the scan.

When I complained I received a defensive response relying entirely on the sonographer’s version of events including odd and inaccurate details like claiming I called her “my darling,” which I have never said in my life.

If you're looking for reassurance or compassionate care in early pregnancy, I would strongly advise against using this clinic. The lack of sensitivity, privacy, and scanning ability caused me significant distress during what should have been a joyful and exciting time.

Further to my below review. IT TURNS OUT THIS CLINIC GAVE A WRONG DIAGNOSIS. MY SAC WAS NOT EMPTY AND THERE WAS IN FACT AN EMBRYO IN THERE. This has made the whole situation even more traumatic to be given a wrong diagnosis and then be diagnosed at Rubislaw with a missed miscarriage (with an embryo). Truly avoid this clinic unless you know your baby is definitely alive and kicking, I wouldn’t trust them to diagnose or interpret a scan again.

Also I received 2 phone calls after I left the below review. I would think good aftercare should be phoning a person before they leave a negative review do you not?

I was very happy with the experience. With NHS I could have waited for ages: first - to be assessed by a GP, then a specialist, then - to be put on a long waiting list for screening, then- to be screened, and then - to wait for results (with MRA it took me longer than a year, and nothing was explained during the screening process, and the report that I and my doctor finally got was just of one sentence and not explanatory at all). Here, everything took a couple of days, and in my view at an affordable price. The specialist was attentive and I trust knowledgeable. I got many images and the report on the same day plus everything was shown and explained to me during the screening process. A helpful and friendly colleague of hers was also at the front desk. A very efficient and worth to go for service!

What was meant to be a special day was ruined by horrid staff . Rushed scan because it was lunchtime.
Not worth the money . Manners don't cost anything.
If you want a lovely experience then go somewhere else

Relaxed, clean, efficient friendly service. They appreciated our wishes to keep a surprise and gave us the sealed envelope after to share as we wish. Fantastic amount of scan pictures emailed to us aswel. Delighted!

Myself and my partner came here today for our first baby scan (early pregnancy scan) in South Side. We were greeted in a nice manor by two of the staff and welcomed in. We turned up at our appointment 20 minutes early but the staff happily took us in and began the scan earlier than we booked. As this is my first pregnancy scan I had no idea what to expect. The lady was great, patient and explained everything to myself and my partner in detail. Due to the way our baby was lying it was hard to get great pictures of our little baby, therefore the lady has booked us in for another appointment when I’m 2 weeks further on than I was today, in the hope we get better scan pictures. This was for no extra cost and suggested by the lady herself. We are both very appreciative of this and will definitely return for the next scan and further scan we will have.
We were also reassured that our baby has a great healthy heartbeat which gave us the confidence and happiness we need until the next scan. If your looking for somewhere that does good scans and caring staff then look no further.

I went for a gender scan at Glasgow, omg never again will I go here, I feel like it was a rush nothing got explained about the scan, u could not really see the baby on the big TV, she hurt me why scanning on my old c section scar, could nt get good photo, I had to leave and go back I had to drink more water which I already drunk a litre bottle of water, it was a rush and did not feel comfortable at all never again will I go to this scanning place

Baby scanning, Hamilton were beyond fantastic, we needed a last-minute scan and they managed to squeeze us in and even ended up staying late so we had the full and detailed scan. Yvonne was absolutely lovely and couldn't have been more accommodating. I didn't catch the name of the nurse carrying out the scan but she was really knowledgeable and couldn't have put us any more at ease. Would wholeheartedly recommend them!

I'd never experienced 4d with my first 2 pregnancy, I loved every moment off the scan which was very detailed. The staff where warm and welcoming I'd highly recommend baby scanning Glasgow.

A wonderfully personal and professional scanning experience. We were given lots of detailed information and opportunity to see our baby in action, followed by many great scan pictures and a 4D video which we received almost as soon as we left.

This was our first experience with 4D baby scan (Edinburgh branch) and although the sonographer tried her best to give us the best pictures and videos of baby, I wasn’t impressed with the personal remarks in between. This really wasn’t her place to tell us if baby resembles Dad more or mom more, and if she finds Dad “cute”. I thought that was highly unprofessional. My baby had her hands on her face and it was difficult to take good pictures but the sonographer tried her best to get us a few good ones, really appreciate that. However, I was expecting a nice bonding experience with baby and constant remarks from her ruined my experience.
