AZCA auctions have sold a number of Japanese items for me. The level of service has been very impressive. The staff have an excellent knowledge of Japanese art and the experience to know what estimates are realistic in order for items to have a good chance of selling. Yet they are open to suggestions about price range and whether to try and sell items individually, in pairs or in larger groups. Prior to the auction, items have been very well displayed and after auction, a diligent and tenacious follow-up to enquiries has led to several extra sales having been made. The level of seller's commission compares favourably with what I have been charged previously by another auction house and after the auction, once buyers have paid, the money is transferred promptly.
I have been very pleased by the friendly professionalism of AZCA auctions and recommend them very highly indeed.

In the past thirty years collecting art, this purchase through Azca Auctions is by far my worst experience.
I purchased a Murano aquarium, a good friend had received their condition report that lead me to believe everything was good, only citing "minor scratches and scruffs." Upon arrival I opened the box to find that there were well over 100 finger nail deep scratches all over the aquarium, many sharp chips and the worst part was the artwork had been defaced as someone had tried to very deeply engrave a signature on the front over one of the main features of the aquarium and when that did not work it seems they tried to camouflage this with even more random engravings. The overall condition of the aquarium is absolutely shocking. When not lit from the back but during the day with natural lighting this defaced piece was quite depressing, looking more like a mural of engraved graffiti. Anzac Auctions became very hostile right from the beginning with comments like "buyer's remorse," etc, and passing me around from one person to another saying they were mostly all going on vacation. Months went by with over 50 emails and messages from me and about 60 hours of my time and immense stress and finally they agreed to take the very damaged and defaced artwork back, but then tried to make me pay for return shipping, so more games. During this time two of the four directors left in the same week, but all four had full knowledge of this deceit. They have only been in business for around two years but with there dishonest practices, I do not see the company lasting. No one should have to be treated as I was and worn down so much that I became sick. I have always purchased art for peace, tranquillity and to add beauty to my home not for months of dishonesty, belittlement and stress. This also marks the first negative review I have ever done in my life.

After hesitating for about six months, I finally took a small bag of miscellaneous jewellery into Azca Auctions on an Open Day for free valuations. I was pretty sure the items weren't of any significant value. Beatrice inspected each and every item carefully, including clasps etc. She identified three items of interest and provided an estimate of the value of each item. I happily submitted the pieces into the next upcoming Auction. All three items sold and Beatrice's estimate was spot-on and one item even sold for slightly higher as it was popular. I am delighted with the results of my visit and the auction. Payment was very prompt. I would happily recommend all the team at Azca Auctions and would certainly use them again in future.
