Delivery nightmare
We ordered a special Shiraz deal on a pre order in April and only later did it become apparent the wine would not be available until August. In mid August we enquired as to when we could expect it and were told that it would be delivered week commencing 17 August. At the end of that week the balance of the cost was taken from our credit card. The wine didn’t appear the next week so I enquired again and was told that the wine was “stuck” in the warehouse. On28th August I followed up and was told it would arrive the next day. It eventually arrived on the 2 September after further chasing. Not a good experience

I am truly sorry for the constant delays with an order that was initially advertised with an expected delivery date, only for that date to be pushed back multiple times.
The original delivery estimates were provided to us by our supplier, and we shared those dates with customers in good faith. Unfortunately, unforeseen complications arose, resulting in one delay and then another. As you can imagine, this did little to inspire confidence for customers who had already placed their orders, but we did our very best to keep everyone updated as soon as we received new information.
To make matters worse, once the stock finally arrived with us, a system issue caused a further delay in dispatching your order. While these types of glitches are rare, it was extremely unfortunate that this happened on an order that had already experienced so many setbacks. I completely understand how frustrating this must have been.
It is particularly disappointing that this was your first order with us, as the experience you received is far from the standard of service we aim to provide. Quite honestly, situations like this are very unusual, and I am embarrassed that your introduction to us was affected by so many issues outside of your control.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the frustration and inconvenience caused, and thank you for your patience throughout what has been an exceptionally difficult order journey. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and hope that we may have the opportunity to restore your confidence in us in the future.

I can't praise Averys enough
I can't praise Averys enough. Their wine advisers are great and mine (Charlie) knows exactly what I like. This wine purchase was of a wine that Charlie recommended, which was also really sensibly priced. It tastes great and is far better than the supermarket offerings at the same price point. Add to that super fast delivery (on a bank holiday!) and you can understand why I highly recommend Averys!
