No quotes in 24 hours
No quotes in 24 hours, no contact despite calling all day and leaving a message (02070316900). REALLY annoying as need job done quickly and website said I'd get quotes in 24 hours. DON'T promise this on your website and then leave the customer hanging - whatever the reason, pick up the phone or email to manage expectations.

Sorry, I can see garages have been slow to respond. It could be they were trying to correctly quote as body work. We encourage them to offer a free on site estimation as online quotes can be hard to get exactly correct!
Extremely disappointing experience with…
Extremely disappointing experience with Autobutler. I needed a full set of brake pads and discs replacing. I found the initial search and quote for the job very user friendly. Booking the car into the garage too was straightforward enough. On the day, it transpired that the price quoted was incorrect and that the parts needed were more expensive. Whilst I except these things happen, I was disappointed with the way in which it was dealt with. The first I knew of the price increase was when I went to collect the car. The price had increased from £379 to £575. I had no choice but raid my meagre savings and stump up the extra to pay. I contacted autobutler to complain, and they said it’s down to the garage to call and explain the price increase. To improve the experience, autobutler need to be more transparent and accurate with the quoted prices, along with improving communication. Won’t be using autobutler again.

Andy advised ourselves that the quote, using the lowest and cheapest brand of pads and discs was not recommended. He also advised extra parts were needed for the rear, we advised him that he must talk to you before proceeding! He said he called and you were ok to proceed with the more expensive brand and the advised extra parts.

Autobutler online software is easy to use and I recommend using the software! In terms of communication 1 star as I phone Autobutler a couple of times and nobody answered! After a couple of tries, someone did answered and advised they will book my service and let me know the details, no phone calls received since then! Best way is to obtain your online quotes but after call the garage directly and make your own arrangements as you'll have no support after !

Worst garage ever
Worst garage ever. Took car in to fix different bits and soft top got it back in bits completely broken and he charged 120 quid for glueing a switch on.

Incomplete Satisfaction reportm so far.
Hi,
Sofar I am very pleased, but can't give you my proper opinion just yet, as further work needs to be carried out.
The job on my engine etc will be an ongoing procedure as I am looking to
get a olot more other jobs to be done at a couple of bits at a time, as I can't
afford to get all the non essential jobs to be done in go.
So far your recommended Technician/Machanic Faisal seems to know exactly what he is doing. I am quite pleased so far with the jobs he is planning to carry out. I should be able to give you a full satisfaction report.

Lack of communication with the said garage ,!
You need to communicate better with the Garage who is doing the work, I went on my confirmed day and time ,to be told that the garage was shut on the said day, I was asked to come back on the Friday, also they was not sure what work i wanted to be done.i think you should also email over the work to be done not just a call to the garage.

I can see the garage were called and explained that you were looking for a certain date, they agreed. They also get an email explaining the nature of work agreed and prices. It sounds like you encountered somebody who was not familiar with our bookings and indeed how Strand interact with ourselves. I will talk to them today and make sure they are fully versed on the workflow of bookings..

Hi Scott, some workshops set up jobs to be auto quoted but the price should be in line with their actual quote. I can see the workshop accepted this job at this price so any adjustments should have gone through you.

Clutch replacement
I was provided with three very competitive quotes within about 30 minutes from local garages to replace a clutch. I accepted the lowest which was also the nearest garage to me from a firm I was not aware of previously. The work was completed satisfactorily within two days.

Erm...
Firstly, I never confirmed a booking with the garage. I just asked them a question about availability. Autobutler confirmed a booking based on this for 4th June.
Secondly, I received a text on Sunday 7th June confirming a booking for 12th June which turned out to be an error and then received a text the following morning asking me to not forget my appointment for Thursday 4th June!!!

Just to respond to your confusion, and I totally sympathise. I can see the workshop booked the car for June 4th originally, this will have raised the confirmation message. I think the garage moved to June 12th to incorporate other work. Following your message to us, we have changed the booking back to 4th and completed as advised by yourself. Unfortunately when editing the date back to the original date, it created an automated SMS reminding you to go, as the date is on the past! I hope that explains the situation and leaves you less confused.

Very nice service
Very nice service, repaired errors made by the previous workshop [no screw in the shaft mounting, no screw when mounting the gearbox]. The price for repairing lower by 1/4 niche the one given on the internet. I highly recommend this Gararz.
