Lies about service cancellation, spotty service.
Service was spotty, sometimes dropping out for a few minutes randomly. Cost of service was gradually raised without agreement from original agreed-to amount ($60 monthly) to $68. When I was moving and needed to cancel service, I was told I could call and have service cancelled immediately, and I made this call February 26 (2024) but they put down March 7, a week and a half later - so I was lied to by customer service somehow, and billed for service I had been promised I would not be billed for, nor given a refund; even after calling customer service about this just now. However, customer service on the phone was always very courteous. This was for service at 220 W Hampton Ave, Apt 2, Spartanburg SC.

I paid my bills on-time. I paid in full. Now that service is canceled, they are holding my refund for some reason. I can't get through to their customer service because i don't have an account open anymore. Thieves - plain and simple.

AT&T Internet in 2021 was $45 per month. In 2022, it went up to $55 per month for the.same.service. Now in 2023, it went up to $65 per month for the.same.service. I spent my whole evening on the phone with various ppl and got the total runaround for zero help. There are no discounts for students or teachers or healthcare ppl. No nothing for no one. They keep raising the price so now it is an extra $250 per year for the exact same service! No promotions. No help. NOTHING. This is terrible business model. How is this even allowed? This PRICE CREEP is not at all inclusive and it hurts those who need their money the most. This is not equitable. Not inclusive. It keeps ppl out because it is unaffordable. That is $780 per year for internet for one person in a tiny apartment when I was paying $540 in 2021. Hello to all those who may be interested in my particular experience with this company, they are liars and thieves, be careful when going with them if they tell you that your phone that you bring is not suitable for AT&t, that is what they did to me, it is for you to hand it over and hook you up with a new one do not believe in promotions it happened to me that I did not want to continue with them I returned their phone within 30 days and it turns out that they cannot even return mine that I gave them and they do not give any credit for it in the end I lost it they are liars be very careful and the other thing they give you a story that if you are affiliated with uber or another company you pay for activation that is another bigger lie it is a story if they charge you for the activation for me they would be the last company I would use in my life for bad treatment customer liars and thieves

I had internet since about February or March and I was in both programs so I didn't have to pay well Wednesday I got a shut off notice for Thursday so I called and the lady said she would extend it until the 1st well when I woke up the next day it was shut off so I called and all they could say was if I paid it would be turned right back on ummmmm guess they don't understand that I get 1 check a month from the VA and that's on the 1st I don't know how many times I have to say that to them. They're money hungry and not worth it.

My wife and I are retired senior citizens on fixed incomes. We were MediaCom cable and internet customers for 15+ years but no more! We changed to AT&T DirectStream this month. Our monthly bill is less than 1/2 of our MediaCon ;) bill for Aug. 2022 and we get 300 mps download with unlimited data. Unlike MediaCon which was 200mps with a data cap

I keep getting emails from them saying I reported a lost password to them. I did not. The emails say my privacy is important to them and to call 800.288.2020 if I received the message in error, but when I call that number, the only option the automated system gives me is to pay my bill, and that if I want to talk to an agent, they’ll charge me $5. May the incompetent buffoons at AT&T burn in hell.

I bought a simcard and a ONE MONTH ACCOUNT ONLY in Washington last week. Now I am back in Europe, where I am unable to receive sms and calls on the card which means I cannot log on to ATT’s site.
When I bought the card, the shop assistant confirmed to me that there would be no extra charges and that the account would shut down after a month. However, last Friday I received an e-mail stating that I had a payment of 30 $ coming up every month. Like Kafka, the SoMe lady trying to help me kept referring me to my account and the 4 digit pin code. Which I have no way of receiving. I don’t know what to do…
Very misguiding support team
I had a 500Mbps Fiber plan couple of months back for $45 a month and unfortunately, I moved to an apartment where they do not have Fiber services they support mentioned that when I move to a new place that has Fiber I would be changed to my original plan but now as I called them moving to a new home they are saying that I need to pay the new price of $65 and they have now way to price match

Service is good but... when they did the installation, they cut our electric fence and refuse to repair it. We explained the situation to the guy that we set everything up with and he stated he would check with his manager. About a week later, we heard from them once we contacted them again and they stated that we had to email what happened and they would get back to us. We did exactly what they told us to do and NOTHING! 4 months later, still nothing. I have left messages and NOTHING.
So now we have to pay for the repairs and we will never use them again. I will never recommend them and discourage others from using them by telling or story and how they neglect taking responsibility for their error.

I can't believe I'm writing a positive review about an internet service provider, yet, here we are. Two weeks ago, I took the plunge and had AT&T's gigabit fiber internet installed, and the entire experience has been a ten out of ten experience.
Ordering was dead simple, and I was able to do it all online. The technician who performed the installation was meticulous and made sure every component worked perfectly. And to my surprise, AT&T sent out a second customer service representative to make sure I was happy with the service. Both the technician and the CSR rep were friendly and knowledgeable.
My internet speeds are insanely fast and, more importantly, stable. I used to have Spectrum, and the internet would go out about twice an hour for a few seconds at a time. AT&T's fiber internet hasn't gone out once in the last few weeks.
Pricing is reasonable. I'm getting AT&T 1Gbps internet for about $80 a month compared to Spectrums 300Mbps for $85 a month.
Something positive is happening over at AT&T because I've never liked any internet service provider before. Until now. Keep up the great work, and thanks!

We've had AT&T internet for quite a few years, and they've always been good to us. Anytime we've had an issue, the resolution came relatively easy and timely. Customer service has been great, and the technicians are always polite and professional. We plan on continuing our relationship with AT&T for years to come.

We had AT&T uVerse in St. Louis, MO. We canceled when we moved to the west coast and returned the equipment using UPS, at their direction. But they continued to bill us every month thereafter, and even claimed we never returned the equipment. We called every month to no avail. Only when we produced the proof of their receipt of the equipment did it stop.

The sign in box had changed so I surmise they updated their system but neglected to clear the bugs. I am not hacked because I can access the account on the cell phone. two people at ATT could not help. Great

Since I have Medicaid & SNAP, I have AT&T Internet Access, (20MPS) for $10. oo a month to support (AT&T TV) now Directv Stream. I also have the other ISP (40MPS) for the same cost per month.

I find it hard to believe that the 5 star ratings are truthful. AT&T has the worse service/customer service one could imagine. Over the years, it has only become rock bottom. It boggles the mind how they stay in business. They weren’t this bad before the de-regulation. Bigger is not better. They have become totally illusive and do everything they can to repel any contact with the customer. All they do is direct you toward the artificial intelligence or other customer issues they hope can solve your problem. It is madness and I hope that anyone else will avoid wasting their time—especially if they’re looking for decent internet service. With AT&T... it just doesn’t exist. This so-called telecommunications company doesn’t know the first thing about communication... how pathetic!
