Each editor in each area was very responsive to my requests usually in a timely fashion. I did have issues with many of the emails going to spam which was frustrating.

Working with Atmosphere made every step of publishing my book a great exprerience. Everyone is both professional and skilled at what they do.

After self publishing two books, I chose Atmosphere for my third project. I am pleased with their delivery of services all coordinated under one roof. They have a good process with frequent status updates along the way from editing to proofreading to cover design to marketing.

The developmental editing and proofreading were top-notch truly improving my product. I wished for more direct, real time communication with the cover and interior designers, but we worked out an excellent result after a few email rounds.

Everyone on my Atmosphere team—and there were many— was truly author-centered and willing to fine-tune until I was completely satisfied. I plan to use them again

I was impressed with the qualifications of the various team members. They were not only experts, but most were published authors. Their mentoring was crucial to getting my book published. Even the scary marketing was made much easier. I had no idea how much work was involved in publishing a book. Thankfully, Atmosphere Press does.

The editors are excellent- extremely encouraging, whilst still giving constructive feedback to improve your text. The designers are very talented- they undersold what they could deliver, perhaps to manage expectations, but I was delighted with the outcome. Overall, the experience of getting my book to print was very smooth. I hope I can now share my story with lots of enthusiastic young readers.

They are clear from the get-go about costs, and - having been a publisher myself - I'm well aware that the costs are real for both sides in this hybrid model. Atmosphere is not a one-size-fits-all press. They vet their authors to ensure quality, as the data shows: in 2025, they had over 17,800 submissions and published under 300 books. From my development editor to the art department, and from interior design to marketing, the Atmosphere team really worked to bring my book to life. The team was transparent, responsive, supportive, and timely. My first pre-publication review received 5 stars! I'll be with Atmosphere for the second book in the series!
