This has to be the most useless website....people started working in June..the company made a mistake paid some few people double money of what they were to receive the rest were left to bear the consequences all in the name of "you'll be paid we are resolving" in the "resolving"..they come up with 70% rule where yo only paid if you get to 70%😂😂😂and for you to get here auditors audit your work....and auditors audit your work however they feel like not as per guidelines...of course you end up loosing pay every cycle and worst of all they don't audit frequently and if they don't yo also not paid as if it's your fault😂😂(stayed for 2 months without pay)

I haven't been on platform for long,but my view is it's a good site that keeps us university student busy during free times and at the same time we earn something...Im yet to receive my first payout on 21st of this month,,and I'll come back give it a 5 star if everything is smooth...
one advice to users is do as many task as you can accurately so that even when you're audited and find some minor mistakes you'll still get a good payouts

Atlas Capture is a scam; do not join it. You work for them but never receive payment due to a fake 'audit score,' yet they don’t even audit your work for long periods. To make matters worse, if you raise a concern, you get banned from their Discord server. What a massive scam!

most likely a scam. they pay for the first 5 or 6 cycles then they will lower the score to discard you after working for months for free.

A very poor website. I honestly believe its a scam site. Because tell how after registering and applying for the test yesterday, I come today on the site and its says that its no longer in my region. And I uploaded some documents. This is so not cool. Anyone and everyone don't believe the 5 star rates on this website I believe its fake too. Pay attention to the 1 star rate its the real deal.

The site is not legit. LOL and they even sent me a copy of my signed agreement slip to me on my email to make it look real but trust me its not. Very Disappointed

Atlas Capture is a start up that has proven that it aspires for greatness over the next few years. it takes the compensation of its worker seriously. once labeller have proven to carry out their roles effectively then the payment is certain. you just need to exercise more patience

First off, they don't pay per hour, they put 10$/hour on their site, that's a lie. For 1 hour of labeling/describing a 2 minutes video you earn 0.4$, they pay peanuts because most of their workers are 3rd world countries citizens who offer cheap labor. SECONDLY they delay payment a lot and they don't expect you to complain about payment, most people beg for it and they owe a lot of back pays, it's modern day slavery. THIRDLY if you complain to them about payment, they would ban you, especially the support named JULZ, she's really rude, too rude to do the job, they hardly want to hear you say your mind, I have so many screenshots of the rude responses dropped by julz to people who need actual help, instead of being helpful, she's just there to give savage responses. Fourthly, the onboarding process is extremely slow they take more people than they can handle. FIFTHLY if you don't get over 70% audit scores you don't get paid (Note: this is not in their official terms and agreement you sign before starting the job) then their auditors are really bad at their Jobs, Atlas capture changes their rules every week, an auditor could judge your work today with last week rules and reduce your audit score and NOTHING can be done about it, most people on atlas right now are working for free hoping to get paid one day. If you have other options please go for it, don't mind the good reviews, we were told to come and drop good reviews online one time in February or April when we got paid.

payment methods and conditions and pay compensation itself it a tragedy working on this platform

Atlas is very stressful. I earned a total of 48$ across several periods. In the first (Jan 16-31) I earned a total of 20$ which meets the requred threshold. My question is, why hold my money that much? When you complain on discord, the admins are very swift to spot check your work and obviously nobody is perfect. Guess what, they will ban you for quality issues. At a time, there came a bug that paused many accounts and they announced that it will be fixed and accounts will be back to normal. When time went on, they said that if you were paused you should create a ticket. When you create one, you are banned. My friends' accounts were paused and later banned with earnings. Currently the work is too much with poor pay. Just imagine spending 1hr 30min plus to earn 0.4 $ which an auditor will come and say its invalid. When we complain about poor payments, nobody hears our cries. I would not recommend anyone to the company not unless you don't have any other option.

This site is bulshit 🥲, currently auditors are lowering your audit score in favour of their pay not in favour of workers,,you can imagine spending almost over 70gb a day,also spending an hour doing an episode worth 0.4$😭, then finally you are not paid,,

Atlas Capture lies on pay rates, a minute long episode takes upto 60 minutes to complete, and Atlas pay labellers $0.23. In short, Atlas workers make 23 cents per hour. Beware of this monstrous company

The Good: Great Onboarding & Community
To give credit where it is due, my initial journey was supported by a wonderful trainer who patiently guided me through complex concepts when I struggled. Because of this, I focused heavily on accuracy and aligned myself quickly with shifting guidelines. Additionally, the peer community is fantastic—I have met some truly wonderful, hardworking people here. Payouts, while almost consistently late (save for one cycle), have at least never been missed entirely.

The Bad: Broken Feedback Loops & Lack of Diligence
Despite putting immense time and care into my work, I quickly realized that accuracy goes completely unappreciated. The company seems to be losing money due to a complete misplacement of priorities regarding quality control:

Negligent Review Ratios: Out of over 490+ egocentric videos I annotated, only about 34 were actually reviewed.

Flawed Performance Metrics: The feedback page is ineffective, and quality scores rarely reflect a labeler's actual input.

Unrealistic Guidelines: Nearly 30% of assigned videos suffer from terrible lighting or poor camera angles. The guidelines provide zero mitigation strategies for these issues, yet labelers are penalized for out-of-frame actions. Furthermore, trainers themselves fail to model proper workflows (such as watching the video fully before labeling) during onboarding.

When I proactively asked for deeper visibility into my reviews so I could help others and maintain quality, I was simply told by a Team Lead to "just work."

The Ugly: Incompetent Audits, Hoarded Info, and Stolen Bonuses
Recently, Atlas pivoted to a aggressive focus on "quality," which exposed massive operational incompetence:

Auditors Defying Guidelines: High-level quality audits are being conducted by people who don't even follow or understand the project guidelines. Having incompetent auditors on a platform ruins the integrity of the data and punishes excellent labelers.

Poor Communication: Critical guideline updates are frequently hoarded or poorly disseminated. When a trainer passes out incorrect information, there are no formal apologies or pinned corrections in the community—trainees are just left to take the fall.

Withheld Financial Compensation: To compel higher quality, a bonus system was introduced. However, for the May cycle, my earned bonus was arbitrarily removed from my balance. I followed protocol, opened a support ticket, and raised the issue with a Team Lead. I am currently being completely snubbed and ignored.

The platform has a steady flow of tasks, so you can usually find work consistently. However, the staff provides very poor support, and payments are often delayed. It is one of the worst platforms I have experienced when it comes to paying workers. If you question them or raise concerns about payment or other issues, they can ban your account almost immediately.

The work itself is not worth the effort. The pay is extremely low compared to the time required. You earn only about $0.23 per minute of episode edited, while editing a single episode can take 1–2 hours. Despite the low pay, they expect workers to maintain a quality score above 90%. They never seem to acknowledge the challenges workers face or provide fair compensation for the amount of work required.

atlas capture are exploiting africans with high workload and poor pay, I just spend 2 hours to do quality work and made 0.4 dollars. I am going to repost this to ILO and US Department of Labour. Good luck Atlas

Atlascapture is a modern-day human slavery.
Ample load of work unmatched or closed to payment... ratio of 80% sweat with 20% pay.
Team Leaders manipulating and threatening members who speak up or question them about their activities.
Delaying and denying some payment.
Overall, using mind games over their worker... punishing them wrongly when one questions his unpaid work.
Staff abusing human power because they're above.

The updated guideline was acceptable; however, the company did not increase the payment amount. Employees who express their opinions risk being banned or suspended.

In terms of been organized, for me atlas is very organized

While I appreciate that the company employs a diverse, global workforce without prejudice, the effort-to-reward ratio is simply too low. I held out hope that things would improve, but instead, the difficulty of the tasks was significantly increased without any corresponding bump in pay. Furthermore, there is a frustrating disconnect between the auditors and the general leads/trainers. Because auditors are frequently out of sync with the latest guidelines, they unfairly penalize labelers, which directly reduces our earnings. Adding to this, promised bonuses were never paid out. Unfortunately, due to these ongoing issues with fair compensation and internal communication, I have to give a 1-star rating.
