A collection of Mod influenced menswear including slim fit button down shirts and knitwear inspired by the sixties. In 1996 East London Mods Alex Banks and Christopher Lord formed the Art Gallery DJ Collective – featuring Lady Michelle, Flaz, Cess and Graeme Very – to spin a mix of 60’s Soul, Beat, Jazz and Psych. Art Gallery launched their first club night The Beat Bubble Ball on December 22nd 1996 at The Clinic in China Town followed in 1997 by a stint guesting at Paul Hallam’s Popcorn night at the 100 Club on Oxford Street. For the next five years Art Gallery ran the now-legendary Lordy Lord! – a club famous for its soulful tunes. The nights we’re hot, sweaty and packed to the rafters. Art Gallery launched their clothing range next. The rest is history.

I have been buying Art Gallery clothing since 2012 and met the owner Alex by chance in Brighton Oct 25. This was my first purchase online from them as I usually buy in store. Love the retro styling so looking forward to the spring summer collection for 2026.

Great value knitwear
Hi,
Bought an Art Gallery zip up Torch cardigan in black, had one last year in navy which was a great buy so treated myself to a new one at a bargain price in the sale.
Fits perfectly, and I know it will wash and wear well as I have one from last year!
