The materials we received are awesome. The lessons and the instructors that give them are very good indeed. Step by step explanations that are really clear. the team is very helpful in clarifying doubts and queries and above all during the exam.

I recently completed the Day Skipper course with Ardent Training and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very first enquiry, their team was incredibly responsive. Every question was answered quickly and clearly, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

The instructors were very quick to respond to any queries that I had and during the examination practise sessions, the feedback was succinct and very useful. I recently completed Ardent’s Day Skipper Theory course. The standard of the course material is outstanding. For me, I found this course better than an in person course (I have done an in person RYA course before). Mainly because the learning material is brilliant and always available if I wanted a recap on anything. Other reasons are the training was delivered in a very personable way - you get to know the instructors and their sailing anecdotes through all the video content. The videos are backed up with excellent text, photo and diagram content. The knowledge checks and module assessments are great for learning and revision. Instructors reply to questions online within minutes. I have already strongly recommended this course to others and will continue doing so.

As repeat customer following their RYA Day Skipper course that set me up for success in the practical course I would highly recommend Ardent to anyone globally and who needs to work at their own pace. They are a highly talented and experienced team of instructors. They are wonderful to work with and their online learning management system is excellent. The material is exceptional providing me with a much better understanding of decision making as a skipper and expanded my knowledge in the areas weather, restricted visibility, systems, emergency situations, passage planning, and the COLREGS. They are clear in their explanations and focus on very practical scenarios. In addition to safely operating my own 45ft boat the RYA standard will enable my family to charter in locations we plan to visit in the coming years.

The course setup was super, very easy to switch and the setup with quiz and knowledge check's is very good .
Also they responding time to questions is super fast
I would certainly recommend them to other people . and in the future will follow other courses with them.

The only point what i found ( but this is maybe because it's not my mother language) , the questions for the exercises were sometimes very difficult to understand. Maybe there is a easier way to formulate the questions.
But as I said,maybe it's me.

This program is perfect for anybody wanting to complete the theory part of their day skipper course.
The classes are delivered by experienced sailors who are both engaging and easy to understand. The lessons are broken down into manageable chunks with small tests at the end of each topic.
The live chat feature is excellent if you need to contact any one about your learning. If you are struggling to get something right you can reach out and they will answer you back within a couple of minutes (during manned hours).
In all dealings with them, I found them to be professional, helpful and friendly.
Thanks to them I passed the theory exam, and should I want to further my sailing training, I would not hesitate to use them again.

This was a well put together course that was just about the right pace and the use of video meant it felt personal and directed.

I had originally wanted to do a class based course but in the end I think this was a much better format, and with a little bit of discipline it beat the classroom hands down as I was able to go back again and again to check things out. The training with the instructors on board a yacht gave it a real feeling as did the experience of the trainers. The feel was quite informal while still very educational with good examples and easy to understand presentations of the principles. The material provided was excellent, with additional key information and memory aids provided in a "library" of additional material. There was a general understanding that there was a lot of information to take on for a new student, and the instructors did sympathise with the students not to worry that they would get there. The material was really well presented and well laid out with the appropriate emphasis on passing the test. The trainers were on hand quickly if I had an issue, which was only once and on a Saturday to boot, but they were there to support me. Highly recommended course.

A fantastic course with knowledgeable and engaging instructors and fantastic learning resources in a variety of formats. Whenever I was uncertain of any points the instructors (not chatbots) were incredibly swift in responding (literally within 10 minutes on each occasion).

Ardent was outstanding throughout my course and I would highly recommend them. Their online materials were excellent compared to other providers but what really made tham excel was the responsiveness and accessibility of their tutors who seemed to be available whenever I was studying to answer questions and provide feedback.
