Relatively easy to amend my policy. However, a follow up mail requesting further information contained irrelevant questions and had to be clarified via phone. This ‘one size fits all’ letter needs to be more specific to the particular customer.

Total rip-off pet insurance. AVOID like the plague
I got their pet insurance 3 years ago. This insurance covers 4,000 euros per year after lots of excess and percentages taken off and with none of the usual vet fees for vaccinations, teeth cleaning, etc. covered. My premium for the year basically doubled in three years to over 1,100. My vet doesn’t accept their insurance so I had to fill out myself a set of really onerous forms online which weren't verified by An Post but rather subcontracted to some other entity that made it as difficult as possible to put in a claim. I put in a claim, and the following year, my premiums increased by the EXACT amount of the claim. An Post is making serious money on this insurance from those willing to pay their premiums. If you had a 32,000 euro car and someone charged you 8,000 or 9,000 euros per year for your car insurance, you’d be more than angry. The An Post pet insurance is the equivalent of that.
