My experience with Anglia UK has been very frustrating and unprofessional. The operators I spoke with were inconsistent and kept changing what they had previously agreed. Even when I phoned to make a payment and resolve the matter, they seemed more interested in escalating the situation than actually helping me settle it.
Instead of making the process straightforward, they made it unnecessarily stressful and drawn out. It felt like they were deliberately avoiding resolution, which only added to the frustration. Their communication is poor, their approach feels hostile, and they don’t seem to genuinely want to work with you to find a fair outcome.
I would strongly caution others to be very careful when dealing with them and to document everything in writing, as their verbal agreements seem to change from call to call.
Two collections cancelled in a week, the latter being down to "the driver having driven too many hours that day". Evidently, the scheduling team are stealing a salary.
The so-called “enforcement agent” they sent to repossess my vehicle was nothing more than an abusive, aggressive thug. He showed up clearly agitated, escalated the situation, and called me a “spaka” — despite full awareness of my mental health history and vulnerability.
This isn’t just unprofessional — it’s outright discrimination. There was zero duty of care, zero compassion, and a total disregard for basic decency or lawful conduct.
They should not be trusted to operate around the vulnerable or in any capacity representing financial firms. I’ve submitted complaints to the OFR, CIVEA, and am preparing further action under the Equality Act 2010 and Human Rights Act 1998.
If your lender is using Anglia UK — challenge it. They are not fit to operate.
