I have been using the app for four months and have seen no improvement. I believe there are some technical difficulties which I'm hoping the support team will help me with, as the idea of improving my eyesight at home is appealing. I have been asked to write this review for a discount code hence the premature review.

I hope my issues can be resolved as the app is expensive and I will have wasted my money on an app which doesn't work.

We've been using AmbyoPlay at our eye clinic, and it's been a valuable addition to our vision therapy services. The platform is user-friendly, engaging for patients, and makes it easier to keep them motivated throughout their therapy programs. We've noticed that patients appreciate the interactive exercises, and the ability to track progress helps both clinicians and patients stay on course. The support team has also been responsive whenever we've had questions. Overall, AmbyoPlay has been a helpful tool in our practice, and we'd recommend it to other eye care professionals looking to complement their vision therapy programs.

Recently my son was diagnosed with amblyopia and we started using this software as the optometrist recommended it. From my own son point of view the version the doctors have is different, more elaborate and complex. I wish they would bring some of those features in this version.
Games are repetitive but they do help I have seen some progress on my son’s condition . Don’t expect to see results in a month or so it takes time,patience and many exercises .
I do recommend this software but I wish they would include the features you see at the optometrist.

Pana acum totul merge bine. Speram ca exercitiile sa fie de ajutor. Copilul meu are strabism si trebuie sa ii antrenam muschii ochilor. Exercitiile sunt usoare si distractive. Bravo!

My 3.5 year-old daughter has been training with Amblyoplay for 3 months now. I decided to give it a try to see if it helps reduce her esotropia and improve her depth perception/stereopsis. She has severe hyperopia and astigmatism, corrected by glasses, which she has been wearing for a year. The glasses have mostly corrected her esotropia but there is still a small esodeviation, measuring 8PD at her last appointment.

After starting Amblyoplay I was very encouraged to see that she is able to play the games in binocular mode, confirming that she has good fusion ability even if her fine stereopsis is poor. Her favourite games at first were Catch Monsters, Balloons Pop and Tasty Tiles, which are quite straightforward even for a 3 year-old. She struggled with some games at first but it’s been wonderful to see her improve so much with e.g. Catch the Birdy and Cross the Road. It was helpful to be able to disable some of the games she found more challenging, and introduce her to them as her confidence and ability grew. Recently she has started doing Planet Shooter and really enjoys it! She still struggles with the Tetris-style blocks game, which she doesn’t really understand, but I’m unable to disable that one so I assume it must be extra-important? Overall though I think there’s an excellent range of games accessible to all ages.

One thing I would like to see is more detailed reporting of progress. It’s great to be able to track visual acuity and training efficiency but I would also like to see some graphical output of how my daughter’s visual processing abilities are improving based on her performance in the games. I am really interested to see if her stereopsis is improving but at the moment she is still failing the weekly depth perception tests and I’ve no idea what kind of progress she’s making towards being able to pass.

Overall though I would definitely recommend Amblyoplay. It’s easy to set up and use, the support is good, and my daughter finds the games engaging and enjoyable. As a parent, it gave me hope that there are still ways to help my daughter’s visual development even when it felt like we’d reached the end of the road with NHS treatment (we live in the UK). We have another 3 months to go until the end of our subscription period and I will be interested to see at my daughter’s next orthoptics appointment if her angle of esotropia has reduced, and if she performs any better with the 3D vision tests.

Generally the app is very user friendly. My issues are related to the games itself, as well as the gaming element of building a character. I’d appreciate if the games have levels allowing you to start where you ended, not always taking you to the beginning. Also when building characters, it took ages to move on with only little coins earned with exercises. Another bit hard to persuade our little one to stay focused on are the assessments - she found it really difficult not to get distracted during that

My son has been using Amblyoplay for the past 6 months and he has noticed an improvement in his vision. The short exercises are actually games that are easy to follow. They do take a bit longer than expected to complete but I think doing a little every day results in a significant improvement.

My daughter really likes this game. The individual games are very intuitive and easy to control and concentrate on. She has been using it for more than half a year. We are satisfied. Thank you

It was a great experience so far our journey with amblyoplay. When we stated it for my son I was curious for the result and fron our result's I totally recommend it. It would be even better for our little guys if there was variety to the exercises. The truth is lately my son was a little bored to complete the exercises but on the other hand collecting diamonds and gaining new characters kept his interest alive. Thank you Amblyo team! We will definitely do it again later

We used Amblyoplay as part of our daughter’s vision therapy, and the results have been meaningful.
At the start, her vision measurements were around 6.25 in one eye and 7.5 in the other. After about six months of consistent use, combined with guidance from our optometrist, her vision improved to approximately 4.25 and 6.5. That’s not a small change—it’s noticeable in day-to-day activities like reading, focus, and general visual comfort.
The platform itself is straightforward. The exercises are game-based, which helped keep her engaged—especially early on. However, over a long stretch of daily use (in our case, about six months), the game variation can start to feel limited. Some of the activities become repetitive, and there were definitely times we had to encourage her to stay consistent because the novelty wore off.
That said, consistency is what drives results. The improvement didn’t come from occasional use—we treated it like a routine, even when motivation dipped.
One important point: Amblyoplay wasn’t a standalone solution for us. It was part of a broader plan that included professional oversight and adjustments (like updated prescription lenses and stopping patching when advised). Used that way, it worked well as a complement to traditional care.
Bottom line: If you’re willing to stay consistent and push through some repetition, Amblyoplay can deliver real, measurable improvement. It’s not instant, and it’s not endlessly engaging—but it works.

Amblyoplay was recommended to us by our optometrist. My 10 year old son had been experiencing difficulties reading for a few years, therefore his eyes were tested. He was found to have several problems, including exoforia. After a three month periode of doing the Amblyoplay exercises he has improved his vision incredibly. Some measurements of skills went from a very low score (for example 5 or 17 on a 1-100 scale) to almost maximum (93). This included for example near-far quickness and depth sensitivity. We are very greatful to the Amblyoplay team for developing this training. There is now nothing in the way for my son to improve his reading and academic skills.

My daughter has been using AmblyoPlay for three full months now. I really like the app's design—it's clear, well-organized, and playful (especially for children). To help with the daily routine, there’s a reward system where you can upgrade a character. The games are simple, but we believe that with the special glasses, they serve their therapeutic purpose. Her next check-up is in two months, and until then, she will definitely continue using the app 100%. The only downside I see is the limited variety of games, which can be repetitive. Otherwise, the company has great support; I’ve always received a quick response. It’s not a small investment, but when it comes to the health and eyes of your loved ones, I didn't hesitate for long.

We've been using AmblyoPlay training with our 4-year-old daughter for three months. The games are engaging and well-thought-out in terms of eye training, and they're easy to learn for a child who hasn't played video games before. Some of the games are still too challenging, but that's not a problem, as they can be disabled. The system for unlocking new characters and new outfits is motivating for the child. The only drawback is the limited number of games, as if some were disabled, the rest often become repetitive, and my daughter sometimes gets bored with them. Overall, we recommend them.

Really good product I did feel a big difference i found after a while its hars to maintain interest but thats not against the product as their target market is children who this will absolutely interest. As an adult it is harder but nonetheless a good product

Our daughter was diagnosed with 'lazy eye' at age two. After seeing multiple specialists, we found a path that works. After two years of progress with vision therapy, our doctor suggested adding the AmblyoPlay app to our daily schedule—a tool they use and trust at the clinic.

We are awaiting our next appointment to evaluate the results of the first six months. We recommend AmblyoPlay to anyone in a similar situation and are hopeful for further improvements in her eyesight.
