Excellent service
I took an item of jewellery into the Dorchester store for repair and was told it would be ready in 2 - 3 weeks. Unfortunately the fire in Dorchester in December resulted in the shop being closed and meant that, although the repair was completed within the stated time, I was not able to collect the item. I was contacted from one of the other stores and agreed a time for a member of staff to deliver the item to me at home. There was a bit of confusion about the price for the repair but that was also sorted out satisfactorily. I really appreciate the efforts Allum and Sidaway staff went to to ensure I had my jewellery in time for Christmas.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during what was undoubtedly a challenging time for our Dorchester store.
We’re delighted to hear that the repair was completed on time and that our team was able to deliver your jewellery to you in time for Christmas. We always strive to go the extra mile for our customers, and it’s wonderful to know that their efforts made a difference.
If there’s anything further we can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to welcoming you back to Allum & Sidaway soon.
Overall very good!
I have given 5 stars for the quality of my purchase and speed of delivery.
My only issue was I had to get my purchase delivered as I live in Dorchester and the shop is currently closed due to the terrible fire next door which wasn’t an issue, but the purchase was a present for my wife who was in when the present was delivered and the package had a Allum and Sidaway sticker on it so it spoilt the surprise. Can I suggest future packages are sent out without the shop name on them!!

It's great to hear you gave a 5-star review for the quality and delivery speed!
It’s understandable that the package could spoil the surprise for your wife. Your suggestion is a good one, and one we hadn't thought of with us trying to accommodate the shocking and immediate shut of our store, Our main goal was to offer complimentary delivery in order to help and show our appreciation to our customers.
We will try to use discreet packaging in the future. Thank you for sharing your feedback, as it will likely be helpful for improving the customer experience!
Amazing as always
Always a brilliant, efficient and friendly service from Allum & Sidaway. It’s always our go to for jewellery.

Piercing at Allum and Sidaway Gillingham
I recently went into the Gillingham branch of Allum and Sidaway to have my daith piercing done.
I don’t usually write reviews but I have to share my experience as I was so impressed.
I was very nervous about getting the piercing as I am really not good with needles. From the moment I stepped into the shop I was instantly put at ease by the members of staff they were all so warm and friendly.
Laura Stone was the lady who did my piercing, she had a very calm aura about her so I felt I was in safe hands, she discussed all the important information I needed to know about the piercing, she had a thorough look at my ear and explained exactly what the process was going to involve, she talked through the process step by step as she was doing the piercing which helped a lot with my nerves. I was amazed at how quick it was all done, I love my new piercing and it’s healing up beautifully.
I am already thinking about my next piercing and I will most definitely be going back to Allum and Sidaway and requesting Laura to do it. A big Thank you Laura and the staff at Allum and Sidaway.

I am so impressed with the service at Allum & Sidaway. I first came in for a welded bracelet as a birthday gift with a friend and had such a great experience; beautiful chain selection, applied with care and attention and they really made the whole thing feel so special. I've since seen back to look at wedding rings with my fiancé; once again it was such a lovely atmosphere and experience with a super selection of wedding rings. We've seen most of the team now and everyone is so friendly yet professional. I'm booked in to see Katie to look at wedding dresses and know I'm I safe hands. Thank you, you have a customer for life!

I went into the shop because I was…
I went into the shop because I was hoping to buy a watch for my partner. What I actually saw was definitely not what I had wanted.
Forgive me for writing this because I feel a certain way about this already however, as a woman I feel that it must be said.
As I am waiting for someone to be free a young lady is serving a gent in front and as she makes any movement her skirt is so short that nothing is left to the imagination let’s say.
She is a young very pretty lady was wearing black skirt and blue shirt in the day I didn’t catch her name I’m afraid. I so badly wanted to say something as maybe she was unaware however, with my encounter I very much doubt that.
It is a shame because the establishment is such a high end store with beautiful products and seeing things like that cheapens the business
I hope this is not seen as slander and some criticism for the store.
Other than that I love the store and think the products are stunning.
