Possibly the worst run company I have…
Possibly one of the most poorly managed companies I have ever encountered. The organization appears to have significant deficiencies in basic supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and customer fulfillment practices. There seems to be a fundamental lack of knowledge about customer demand, inventory planning, purchasing, and the company’s ability to fulfill orders.
The consistent explanation for fulfillment issues appears to be “customer demand.” While fluctuations in demand are certainly a reality of business, effective supply chain management is built around forecasting, inventory planning, procurement strategy, lead-time management, and maintaining appropriate levels of safety stock. Those fundamentals appear to be foreign to this company.
The customer service experience is even more disappointing. Their website directs customers to a customer service portal, yet inquiries get ignored. Attempts to contact the company through social media can also get ignored. When a response is eventually received, the customer is effectively blamed for not using the “correct” method of contacting them. Customers should not have to make repeated attempts through multiple channels simply to receive a response. Wow this might be a foreign concept for this company, a customer service portal typically means someone is monitoring that to maintain customer relations. Not here.
The company’s approach to social media is particularly unprofessional. Rather than using customer feedback as an opportunity to demonstrate transparency and address concerns publicly and professionally, legitimate criticism appears to result in customers being blocked or dismissed. A company confident in its products and customer service should be willing to address reasonable criticism constructively.
There are plenty of professional ways to manage customer relationships when a company is experiencing supply constraints or struggling to meet demand. Customers can be provided with realistic lead times, proactive updates, estimated fulfillment dates, alternative products, or other meaningful solutions. Unfortunately, that level of communication and customer relationship management appears to be missing here.
Ultimately, the biggest issue is not simply that the company occasionally struggles to fulfill orders. It is the apparent lack of fundamental supply chain discipline, inventory management, customer communication, and operational planning behind those failures.
If you place an order with this company, be prepared for the possibility that your money may be tied up for an extended period before the order is ultimately canceled or refunded. Based on my experience, it feels less like a reliable purchasing experience and more like providing the company with an interest-free loan while waiting to see whether they can fulfill the order.
