The service department was great in working through a discontinued product and a feasible alternative for my need. The shipping process was good with frequent updates from the Royal Mail.

Had many difficulties to purchase UK parts due to Brexit. Allen solved this through cooperation between Royal Mail and our country Postal company. VAT and Custom fees are all smoothly processed.

Specilaists in producing marine hardware such as blocks, cleats, deck fittings, masts, booms and a variety of other yacht and dinghy fittings. Many of the products produced by Allen Brothers are used by world class boat builders and sailors on high performance racing boats. Sailing Blocks: Allen's core range of blocks are available in 20 to 60mm sheave sizes and feature Allen dynamic bearing technology. Twin rows of stainless steel ball bearings running on a stainless steel axle. The result is minimal friction and a long lasting high performance product. Sailing Cleats: Inventors of the origional aluminium cam cleat. Allen cam cleats are available in two sizes and two materials, ensuring there is a cleat suitable for most appilcations on yacht and dinghies.

I was delighted with the Allen Brothers company. The items arrived in excellent condition. There was a slight delay at Greek Customs and a long delay in delivery by the Greek postal service.

Quality Item
Clear website with good navigation and good descriptions of items including dimensions.
Order turnaround was quick as was delivery.
I was looking for a simple shackle key and found just what I needed at Allen. It's an easy to use tool worth carrying in a buoyancy aid.

Needed to buy a spinnaker cage
Needed to buy a spinnaker cage for our classic yacht. On Pinner & Bax website it was showing "out of stock". Their website mentioned that the fitting was made by Allen. So I contacted Holt Allen. Didn't know they'd changed their name to Holt. They told me to contact yourselves and hey presto you had the item in stock and I bought the item directly from yourselves. No hassle and easy to negotiate your website. Also spoke to one of your staff who was very helpful. Couldn't ask for better service!

Hi Nicholas, thanks for the feedback. To clarify - we are just Allen. Holt Allen does not exist. Holt and Allen are two separate companies and have been for 10+ years now.

Fantastic products and site but the Royal Mail choice to ship outside UK is very bad.
I haven't received the package yet...
I would prefer to spend more for shipping and use a very good courier service like DHL or UPS.

All shopping experience was great. The problem was with the international shipping. I end up paying nearly 40% extra because customs. I know this is not under the shop control but makes it difficult for me to repeat any purchasing.
