Very bad

AliExpress’s “buyer protection” is…

AliExpress’s “buyer protection” is completely meaningless.

I requested a return within 24 hours of delivery for an unused, unopened item, well within the return window. Due to a misleading interface, I accidentally selected “partial refund” and contacted support immediately to correct it.

Instead of helping, AliExpress:

Repeatedly closed my dispute without resolving anything

Refused to initiate the return themselves

Pushed responsibility to the seller despite multiple escalations

Provided no clear appeal option

I spent over a week being sent in circles with zero accountability. Closing cases without resolution and making returns impossible is unacceptable and deliberately obstructive.

Do not trust AliExpress if you ever expect real customer support or fair returns.

Never buy goods from Alibaba. Those goods are all counterfeits with very low poor quality. You usually can not return your goods back the suppliers to get refund. Most of the suppliers coming to Alibaba usually do not care about their reputations and they have no credibility. They are only interested in dumping the craps onto the platform to make quick money and vanish from the platform.

Leider muss man ja einen Stern vergeben, aber verdient ist der nicht!
Ich habe ein sehr altes Handy, inzwischen ist der Akku wohl hinüber, aber da ich meine Bank App auf dem Handy habe (und die Santander Bank es nicht fertig bringt, eine neue Nummer zu speichern) , war ich froh, bei Ali Baba ein passendes Angebot für genau diesen Akku zu finden. Man musste gleich 3 Stück bestellen, aber bei einem Preis unter 3 € pro Stück ist das ja kein Hindernis!
Also habe ich flugs bestellt, per PayPal gezahlt und bekam fast sofort die Nachricht - out of stock-. Meine beschiedenen (Geschäfts ) Englisch Kenntnisse reichten aber, um zu verstehen, dass der Artikel nicht lieferbar, nicht am Lager ist. Auf meine deutsche Frage, was das bedeuten solle, wurde mir auf Englisch geantwortet, man müsse erst mal im Lager nachsehen, aber der Artikel sei ja schon "very old". Ich habe jetzt auf Deutsch versucht den Artikel zu stornieren und mein Geld zurück verlangt. Mal sehen, was daraus wird!
Aber ich kann jedem, der ein schwaches Herz hat, nur dringend von einer Bestellung auf der Plattform abraten.
Leider hatte ich nicht gleich die Verbindung zu dem Märchen? "Ali Baba und die 40 Räuber" hergestellt, aber es scheint ja so, als ob sich die Räuber in der Zwischenzeit stark vermehrt und sich auch an die neue, digitale Handelswelt angepässt haben! Nun heißen sie auch nicht mehr Räuber sondern Händler! (Zumindest auf der Plattform "Ali Baba")

Ik ben nou al 2 maanden bezig met het dispute op Alibaba. Mijn pakket is beschadigd geleverd. De dumpling machine is stuk. Ali Baba vraagt om het demage repport aan mij terwijl ups dit alleen deelt met de shipper. De shipper die probeert er alles aan doen om niet te voldoen aan zijn verplichting en wil het damage rapport niet delen. Ik wil mijn geld terug.

Once again Ali Express are totally ignoring the evidence of biased treatment to there customers.

How can one account receive daily replaced green shopping coupons as they advertise and state in there rules..... Yet the same person living in the same country have a second, (but primary) account and be denied the same terms and conditions?

This is obviously discrimating against certain customers, and accounts. Yet the constant answer from the higher team at Ali Express is that the coupons are on a ( first come first serve basis). But as I said how can I receive coupons on one account but not another? That's certainly not first come first serve is it ?
It's discrimination against certain account holders. Shouldn't the platform be equal for all Ali Express customers? Why would you discriminate against certain accounts and not others. Especially when it's the same person ( but using two different names ).

Why is one account able to constantly obtain green shopping coupons?

Yet the other account unable to obtain green shopping coupons for over two months?

Isn't this discrimination?

Shouldn't you be treating all your customers and accounts equally?

Shouldn't all Ali express accounts operate under the exact same rules, terms and conditions that Ali Express set?

Why has it taken 37 esculated cases to get an answer to this very straightforward question?

Why was it that, it wasn't until you saw these reviews on Trustpilot that you started to take notice?

Why does the higher team at Ali Express, respond with copy and paste answers such as.

1. The coupons are replaced daily at midnight.

Answer... As a result I produced evidence via screenshots at this time and many minutes after midnight that they were not replaced?

2. Your device or application is at fault.

Answer... But it works perfectly for the first account and not the second ? My application is the latest version, my cache is clear and I've also tried alternative devices, which have exactly the same issue. No access to green coupons.

3. Your shipping address is not applicable to coupons.

Answer... Yet one of my accounts, to my other address which is located in the exact same city in the European union has no issues with coupons. For over two months now you have stopped access to green shopping coupons on only one account of mine ( my primary account ).

Your answers are blatant lies,which i find insulting. Treating different account holders differently is discrimination. Advertising daily replaced coupons is a fraudulent statement and against the rules you set. It's only when this activity is posted for thousands of customers to see, that you finally take notice.

Lastly I reported your activity on Reddit, as a result you enabled to ban me from the platform for speaking the truth. No bad language was used, I clearly stated the facts that I had encountered using Ali Express, as I have on Trustpilot.
In Europe we have free speech. If you trade in Europe then you must comply with European laws when trade and free speech is concerned.

I wait for you to respond to all my questions. I wait for my account to be afforded the same rights as all other Ali Express accounts. I also wait for an apology, because of how you treated a customer of ten years.

Taobao Failed to Supervise Merchant Who Ran Away

In 2017, I placed an order on Taobao for a home renovation service from the “PINGO Decoration Flagship Store.” I first paid a symbolic deposit on the Taobao platform, and then, under the merchant’s guidance through Taobao’s messaging system, signed an offline contract and transferred the full renovation payment of ¥123,084.50 directly.

Unfortunately, the merchant disappeared halfway through the construction, leaving my apartment unfinished. I reported the incident to Taobao. However, they repeatedly told me they could not assist because the payment was made offline—even though the transaction originated from their platform.

I filed complaints through China’s national consumer system (12315) and the National Petition Bureau. Still, Taobao refused to take any responsibility, citing “no platform guarantee on offline transactions.”

This is unacceptable. Taobao enabled this scam by allowing merchants to guide consumers off-platform without warning or protection. The merchant’s store has been closed, but Taobao continues to deny all liability.

I urge Alibaba Group to intervene and offer compensation for this serious failure in platform governance. If not, I hope more international users recognize the risks of using Taobao for major purchases—you’re on your own if anything goes wrong.
Update (Aug 26, 2025):
I have officially filed a complaint with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding this case.

This proves that the issue is no longer only about consumer rights. It also raises concerns about Alibaba’s potential failure to disclose consumer risks as a publicly listed company, which may affect investors as well.

Despite repeated complaints (Black Cat Complaint platform, 12315, and others), Taobao has ignored my case for years and their customer service continues to push responsibility away. This pattern of negligence shows a systemic problem, not an isolated case.

I will continue to provide updates here and share evidence with global regulators and media until a fair resolution is reached.

Please Read - I’ve been reviewing for google for 10 yrs, i only write reviews that i think are relevant and 100% valid. I have used this platform (ali-babà) many times. Their prices are pennie’s to the dollar right? So you buy a bunch of stuff, because if you don’t you’ll pay 500% of the price in shipping, and wait a month to get it. Recently there was this huge sale from a particular seller(Bekhuz Store) They were selling the phomemo -02 which is a mini thermal printer with 300DPI, so it’s an awesome gadget that prints very clear great pictures or if you make stickers etc. I already own 2 phonemo printers and they’re really good, no ink to buy or waste with thermal, plus i’m a tattoo artist and need it for travel. I get my order today but the printer is not included. I go to the site and the store owner is trying to tell me that what i bought was only the paper rolls not the printer. He’s a liar, because i know what that description said and i also know what that printer costs on amazon. The whole point of this review is, Ali baba is just not worth the time or hassle. They’re located in China , so if this seller won’t refund my money, what can i truly do about it? NOTHING, i cannot be the only person who has come across unethical sellers on ali- babà , so for your own sanity just pay the few extra dollars and buy local. If you add up wait time , shipping cost, inconvenience it’s just not worth it. Also now with these products heavily tariffed the savings are literally nothing. The prices have all gone up because China thinks all Americans are millionaires , which we are not - at least speaking from personal experience

AliExpress — a platform owned by Alibaba Group — no longer provides valid VAT invoices, even for purchases fully processed through their own system.

What you receive is a worthless PDF lacking:
⛔ VAT number
⛔ Invoice number
⛔ Company details
⛔ Any legal value

➡️ For freelancers, professionals, and VAT-registered businesses, this makes the purchase non-deductible and completely unusable for accounting purposes.

The situation:
Customer service provides copy-paste replies.

They shift responsibility to the seller — who has no access to invoice settings or functionality.

They claimed the issue would be “investigated” and that I would be contacted by email — but it’s now been 15+ hours, and nothing has happened.

👉 No follow-up, no resolution, no professionalism.
👉 This is no longer a mistake — this is deliberate negligence.

📌 Previously, you could easily download a valid invoice directly from your account.
📌 That system has now been intentionally disabled.
📌 Even the European Consumer Centre (ECC) confirms:
AliExpress is outside EU jurisdiction, making legal enforcement nearly impossible.

🛑 Alibaba is a multi-billion-dollar corporation, yet refuses to provide basic fiscal transparency.
🛑 No proper invoice = no trust.
🛑 This platform is not suitable for professional or business purchases.

💬 As long as no valid solution is provided, I will continue to raise this issue publicly and persistently on:

I've had a number of occasions to be irritated with AliExpress's service, not just this one.
Some of the AliExpress vendors are downright dishonest con artists, and it appears that the company itself is shielding them from criticism.
I will end here since my list of grievances is too lengthy. Please take note:
When utilizing AliExpress, exercise caution since you can lose your money.
AliExpress will not, I reiterate, defend you in the event that you are defrauded of your money, and not all merchants are trustworthy.
After receiving your money, these Chinese vendors won't provide it to you, won't offer you a reasonable price, and aren't willing to

Ordered 500 t-shirts - got thin, ugly ones. Seller disappeared. Lost $1,200.

Advice:

Always order samples first

Only use "Trade Assurance" payment

Don't rush - check suppliers carefully

High Risk, Questionable Reward

Found decent wholesale prices but got burned twice by suppliers sending inferior products. "Trade Assurance" is a joke – had to fight for weeks just to get partial refunds. Only worth it if you enjoy gambling with your money.

Alibaba is a total scam!

Ordered “original” AirPods for $100 - came a cheap knockoff that broke in a day.

Alibaba support is a laugh:
- 2 months “investigating”
- Seller continues to cheat
- No refund

And then they blocked my account for complaining!

I advise everyone to avoid Alibaba! This is a dump for scammers.
