Super swift service, advice, great price and such good quality stock.
I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
Looking forward to using my new Shrubb capo from AYM on my ukulele.

A wonderful job refurbishing my Ludwig Wendell Hall Case which was in need of a lot of TLC. Very pleased with the result.

The craftsmanship is of a high standard and worth waiting for

Absolutely the first port of call for everything banjo-ukulele. Alan is an expert player and his knowledge is second to none. He’s resprayed a New Concert banjo ukulele for me and it’s like it’s just out of the factory!! Fabulous. I’ve bought the best calf skin vellums available and strings that surpasses any other shop. Highly recommended!!

Alan resprayed and restored my New Concert banjo uke for me and did a first class job. I’ve also bought the best calf skin vellums and strings available from the shop which are fantastic. Excellent service and professionally packed. Highly recommend you using this shop!

i was searching online shops for pufling to finish off a uke banjo that had a piece missing from the resonator.
I didn’t realise how much officially licensed stock they held. For anything ukulele banjo related they have everything including, repairs, setups and (hooray). That elusive Purfling…. At last no need to trawl the internet for spare parts. This is a one stop shop with the shop keeper being so helpful. Thank you Alyson and Alan. In the words of the big Austrian Chap. “Ill be back”

I sent my Fred Stevenson uke banjo to Alan for a new vellum and set up etc. 10/10 for Alan’s skilled work and Alyson’s after sales.
Highly recommend 10/10. I will be using them again for guitar strings etc. Many thanks again to both of you.

The service is second to none. The strings arrived on time. Thank you Alison for the great service

I recently received a Ukulele Banjo from a friend of mine who is in his nineties and registered blind.
He had a problem with one of his tuning pegs and due to his poor sight, he lost a couple of parts for re-assembly.
I sent the tuner to Alan Yates Music, who took the trouble of finding a suitable replacement nut, who then promptly sent the tuner back to me so I could reinstate it on this chaps instrument. My thanks to Alyson and Alan Yates for taking the trouble to help this elderly man out, which in essence, saved him a lot of money as a complete set of new tuners would have been necessary.

I can thoroughly recommend Alan Yates music for their helpfulness, speed of service and their range of top quality products. And if you need any advice on instruments or musical accessories, they really know their stuff. Thank you Alan Yates Music.

When my recent ebay purchase, (a Gibson banjo uke) arrived I wasn’t surprised to find it needed a few adjustments to suit my personal preference and style of playing. To do this I ordered a part from Alan Yates music ebay shop, the part arrived quickly and it included a business card and website link. I was delighted to discover online that Alan had experience as a musician specifically banjo uke and was also a skilled instrument repair / restorer. I requested a quote and got a quick response with an estimate of cost and time for turnaround that was agreeable to me. It made sense to hand over my vintage instrument to someone with experience and knowledge than to bungle about with it myself. I had a discussion with Alan who took the time to listen to me and who gave advice and shared his extensive knowledge on the matter. We agreed a schedule of work to be done and I felt reassured knowing my uke was in very capable hands. The turnaround was within the timeframe we agreed and the costs were within the initial estimate. I was given a discount for my ebay purchase that was deducted from my bill automatically. At every step Alan and Alyson were available to answer any questions I might have. I’m just the average joe, uke player , nothing special , but I feel that I got 5 star treatment from Alan Yates music. I had checked out the reviews for AY Music and the positive feedback I read clinched the deal for me to hand over my uke and put my trust in them to do the work. If like me you are checking out the reviews, know that I have had exceptionally good customer care and communication, the work carried out was perfect and just what I asked for and the cost was itemised and very reasonable.
Thank you Alan and Alyson at Alan Yates Music
