Not been with AFH for long, but Michael has been clear and open with his advice.

I’m not without some financial acumen & when my original advisor with AFH suggested I might transfer my pension over to the AFH platform, I did not feel this was best advice for me & consequently did nothing, but considered moving my business elsewhere. However, since Michael Lennon became my advisor, I feel he has dealt with my concerns effectively & proved to be very professional, honest, reliable & I’m very happy with his guidance & support. As a consequence, AFH have retained my business.

I am aware of Michael’s knowledge and I have every confidence in the advice and guidance that he is providing. I sincerely hope that he will remain my financial advisor for many years to come.

We recently joined AFH after our financial adviser retired and recommended AFH. Being "techno dinosaurs" we were slightly daunted by the fact of having meetings through the computer but Ollie, our new financial adviser, was wonderful. He was extremely patient, went through absolutely everything with us in details we could understand but took the time to explain anything we did not understand. The company also seem "on the ball" with sending out the relevant forms/paperwork. Thank you so much Ollie for making the transition reasonably easy.

Trish was absolutely amazing!!! Helped me all the way through and made sure I understand everything. She has worked so hard and got me my dream house/morgtage. I can not thank Trish enough. She is so supportive and everything you need when goring through something so difficult

I’ve always found AFH to meet my expectations and my adviser Clive Strange to provide a top class personal service.

I’ve had my pension with AFH for a few years now. No issues with my named advisor. However, I find the discretionary service basically just tracks the average market movements. So not really anything special given the additional charge made. I also used to find their phone app a good basic facility but they withdrew it without advising after it stopped working! I was directed to their on line service which has a more long winded log in process. After contacting them I was told they are preparing a new app but have no idea when it will be ready! Not overly impressive for a company providing state of the art advice!

I was a client of AFH Wealth Management from 2012 to 2018 and my late father a client from 2014-2023. My late father's investments were managed by AFH's discretionary management service, which purports to bespoke manage your investments to produce benchmark-beating performance growth in accordance with one's assessed risk profile. (AFH's risk assessment tool is the bluntest I have ever seen)
So my review of AFH is sadly dire and if I could give nil stars I would.
Please do not risk your assets or monies with this company, they will charge you EXCESSIVE FEES and deliver VERY VERY little in return.
My 80 year old father, a UK basic tax payer, was miss sold a product: a complex and unncessary offshore bond - which was clearly of more benefit to AFH (ie high fees, complex with very high fees, difficult to exit from) than to my father, their client.
AFH's 6 monthly reports, if they turned up, were often incorrect (even basic data would be wrong) and mainly consisted of useless generic economic commentary which had clealry been copied from google & was used to pad out little other content in these alleged client reports.
AFH's supposed investment management team are either very untalented or incompetent or both as their performance results are simply appalling. For example my father's portfolio (med risk) of £200k in 2014, in ten years has seen only £66k growth, that's £6.6k annual average or 3.34% annual avg. AFH have taken discretionary management investment fees of £29,279 this equates to 14.64% of the original investment. Please read that agian so you understand: £66k of growth was achieved by AFH in 10 years and they charged £29,279 in fees.
I do not accept that Financial Advisors can be permitted call upon the old excuse of "investments can go up or down" caveat when they are taking substantial fees to manage investments.
A complaint is onging with AFH for their failure to provide the service (discretionary managed service) that they were contracted to provide. I have suggested that they consider whether they have acted appropriately. I will report back in due course.

I have been a client with AFWM for 10 years. Very good company. Lots of advice and good service. Also, regular communication.

We were recommended to AFH by a family friend as we needed financial advice. We were greeted warmly by James Busby who made us feel completely at ease. From pensions to savings and power of attorney to wills he explained everything we needed to know and made it simple for us to understand.We would reccomend AFH to anyone who requires legal and financial help.

I would like to let you know how pleased I was with the service provided by Elissa Groves , it was very nice to meet her and she was very helpful and gave me some good advice

We have had brilliant financial conversations with our adviser MR, who has always offered us alternative ways of dealing with our requirements where appropriate and has been responsive if companies have not followed up properly. He's reliable, personable, appropriate and very well informed of the financial markets.

All management charges and no real advice, then throw their toys out of the pram when you want to leave them after taking £50 a month and making you 2K extra in 6 years than what I did in the same period time frame before. Very old-fashioned with how they communicate it's 2024 not 1974! Very Corporate and stuffy.

I have been with AFH for at least 10 years and could not have asked for more help and guidance than that given.

Ian Lloyd has been advising me for the last ten years. I trust him wholeheartedly. He explains everything fully in a manner which is understandable. Ian is friendly and patient and I know he is always available should I have any concerns. I would (and actually have done) recommend Ian without hesitation.

He is friendly, patient with us, and easy to deal with, and always available to answer questions or give extra advice.
