All I needed was to change my due date to the 1st every month. They wouldn’t even consider it. I’d think they would like the idea of helping a customer make payments on time . But hey. That’s fine.

I have used Affirm for couple years with in 1 years time i have paid back close to 4,000. dollars for various things mainly vacations. Now I went to see what my purchase power is so I can book my next vacation and its telling me they have no plan for me? Im confused as to why now they are saying that Ive never been late nor miss a payment.

I am writing to formally dispute the handling of my recently approved loan for a Princess Cruise booking and the subsequent cancellation fee I have been charged.
I was approved for financing in the amount of 18 payments of $354.00, which I fully agreed to and am financially able to maintain. However, after Princess Cruise cancelled the booking, I was informed that the cruise had not been fully paid and that I would be charged a cancellation fee. At no point prior to this was I notified by Affirm of any issue with my loan approval, payment processing, or account status.
When I contacted Affirm for clarification, I was transferred multiple times. During my final transfer, I could hear representatives laughing and talking in the background before the call was abruptly disconnected. I called back and was transferred again, only to be told that Princess Cruise had taken the deposit but that when they attempted to process the remaining balance, the card was closed.

I immediately asked for assistance in reopening the card or determining how to process the remaining balance, since the loan had already been approved and so I could get my room back. I was then told that I was not approved for any amount larger than what appeared under my “card tab,” which contradicts the original loan approval terms of 18 payments of $354.00.
Additionally, when I check other merchants (such as Priceline and other cruise lines), my available purchasing power appears significantly higher, which makes this situation even more confusing and concerning.
As a result of this issue—one that was not caused by me—I am now being charged a cancellation fee and accruing interest. I was even told I needed to agree to the cancellation charge. I do not agree with this charge. I believe this situation resulted from a breakdown in processing or communication between Affirm and Princess Cruise, not from any action on my part. I am so unbelievably dissatisfied with the dishonest treatment and customer service provided by AFFIRM
I did follow up on the updated response and emailed the address given and of course NO Suprise No Response !!!!!

Feb 9 rented a car , got to rental office needed a physical card their for I charged on my own visa …. Affirm still charged me under their approval . No luck getting account canceled . Priceline wasn’t any help all pit issue back on affirm

This is not a scam. Despite people trying to say it is because a hold is put on their account due to an initial approval period. They may not like that, but it's pretty standard for such services.
However, though i have used Affirm a lot and appreciate their services.
I deduct 1 star because their "support" page and chat said i was able to use a visa or MC debit gift card to make a payment.
This however is incorrect information since both the app and their phone support will not accept a payment from a card unless it has you name and zip code attached.
Which is a bit rediculous. Since it is a prepaid gift card that is guaranteed to give them, up to its limits, the funds are there on the card. Plus the fact that their support gives misinformation saying you can use prepaid gift cards for payment.
Now i have to figure out how to use the funds some other wsy to get the payment made.

No option for zero stars. Don’t use the service unless you’re absolutely sure they will approve you. In my case they did not, which is their right and not the issue. The concerning issue was that even though they declined my request, they still put a hold on that amount of money from my bank account and told me it would take 3 to 5 days before that hold be taken off. So now I can’t use my own money for 3/5 days. Unethical and most likely illegal. When I called to get this issue resolved, I was told that there’s nothing they can do and they are sorry that their resolution is not satisfactory.

Affirm is fine if you keep the item you ordered. However, if you return the item the merchant refunds it to AFFIRM’S VIRTUAL CARD and the money doesn’t always get refunded to the original form of payment. Twice now have had to call Affirm to get my money, call the merchant to find out where it went, and then had to dispute payments to Affirm on my credit card. Not worth it!!!!

DO NOT USE AFFIRM.

They will decline transactions after taking a down payment. Customer service will then transfer you 20+ times and still have no answer. You will lose money. It is a scam.

Absolute awful company do not use. I will never use them again they are a scam company. I told them I never received a product and they still favoured on behalf of the fraudulent store. Avoid at all costs

Tried setting up my account and keeps saying can not verify identity, called customer service and talked to multiple representatives over the last three days and no one has been able to help, gave them all information needed to verify my identity, why is this so hard to do!!!!!! and website saying now to many attempts, to try again later, can believe customer service can not figure this out!!!! customer service is a joke!!!

🖕affirm.Have a substantial amount of money, supposedly, available to me.I've NEVER been late,missed or skipped a payment.I had committed payments due to eBay... applied for AND was approved for a $200 loan.When I tried to make payment to eBay it was DECLINED 3 times.Called affirm 4 times...each time got a different NON-english speaking HALFWIT on the ph.AND got BS'd all 4 times!Long story short...they approved the loan but blocked payment FOR NO REASON. Interest rate is astronomical and customer support...I assume you're talking to someone in a grass hut in nigeria! Regardless of your credit and dedication to them they apparently give you credit if and when they feel like it.SCUMBAG company.

Set a firm card to the wrong address after I repeatedly as the representative to repeat my physical meddling address and was still sent to the wrong address

Poor customer service I challenged a purchase of 4k from a scammer that provided no service and no contract was signed. Affirm failed to provide any proof as to why my dispute was closed

I have contacted customer support 4 times with the same result they provide no proof of the purchase but yet they close my case

An update from my dispute after months of emails and calls to affirm with documentation as to why I shouldn’t have been charged sales tax on shoes. They didn’t rule in my favor becaue “lack of evidence”. Meanwhile, I sent emails directly from the NJ sales tax division. Avoid using Affin at all costs, they are the worst to deal with, even when presenting documents/evidence.

Customer service is nonexistent- they mess up your bank accounts and do absolutely nothing to resolve THEIR MISTAKES!!

They are not helpful . I ordered an item never received it tried to dispoute the payment that affirm took and it is an act og God to get them to help you. MY ADVICCE TO ANYONE THAT THINKS AFFIRM IS LEGIT THEY ARE NOT. Do no use them.

I bought a dress from Kay Unger. It was supposed to arrive on 11/21/25 for an event. It was not delivered until 11/24/25. I returned the dress to Kay Unger & I was told that I would receive a full refund. Affirm has been given the delivery confirmation & will still not refund my $$. It has been an absolute nightmare. They have reported this on my credit report as unpaid.

Got a loan from affirm, for a hotel room, in april 2022. When I got to the hotel they said I needed a deposit. I did not have it, so I was turned away. I still had to pay on the loan. I contacted affirm, disputed this multiple times, with paperwork, called the hotel, and never received the money for the loan back. I did this all immediately and then every few months i would follow up, only to receive the same runaround from affirm Now I have outstanding charges for other loans and im not paying them because they never paid me my money back! Kiss my butt affirm!

When I signed in to my Affirm account, I saw that the one I have recently been paying doesn't show the actual merchant's name. It was a generic name "Affirm Virtual Card retailer". So I called affirm to find out the exact merchant name and when they couldn't tell me, I said it must be a fraudulent charge. They said they will investigate. The next day I got an email from them saying that since the charge was associated with my account, then I am responsible for it. I called my credit card company whose card was being charged by Affirm and filed a dispute. Hopefully at least my credit card company will not make me responsible for the charge which is clearly fraudulent. I wouldn't recommend using this company for your installment payments.
