Initial contact with Lucas was helpful, then I was referred to Craig who was thorough and designed a system that would suit my needs, rather than maximise the government rebates. All aspects including the disposal of my old solar panels were included in the quote.

I have been impressed with all the staff of the company I've dealt with and all the processes I've observed, and I thus have confidence that the company will still be around if something goes wrong. Also, they receive feedback from the battery, to assist ongoing maintenance.

Only slightly negative was getting everything delivered was a day late with zero communication. Wasted a day dropping in and out of home waiting for a delivery that never came. The installation spanned three days due to both weather and the complexity of the job — all of which was handled without fuss and with great communication throughout.

Great company to deal with, battery arrived on time (6am actually!!) and installers shortly thereafter. Battery installed with minimum fuss by about midday and was up and running as soon as it was independently checked a week later. Ish at head office has been a great help since with various aspect of battery operation.

We had Harry come out from Advantage Solar to give us the run down on how solar panels work . Harry was a wonderful young man who knew his product and could answer all our questions . Harry sold us a system that met our needs and was not a pushy salesman . A true gentleman. Highly recommend talking to Harry .

From the vast array of advertising on social media for solar/battery solutions, my wife and I were so fortunate to meet up with Solar Advantage. In the sales process I initially did not stick with Solar Advantage and my choice was respected. The sales person was not pushy and spoke clearly about Solar Advantage's track record. The final choice was between Solar Advantage as a well organised company with a track record of installations and a company that functions as a Franchisor-Franchisee relationship. The Franchisee assigned to a territory of where we live has had no installs where Solar advantage as done 77 for the same period of time. This other mob can be regarded as a "cowboy" outfit along with the hundreds of other "cowboys" that are currently in the market place. What other factor that was important was the cowboy was supposed to get me a quote before taking a week off to go "fishing." I never got the quote and so I went with Solar Advantage. Solar advantage cares about their future and future of customers. Solar Advantage will sell you a system that takes into account the charging of a fully electric vehicle and your current household needs. Solar advantage will examine your current electricity consumption as a standard procedure. A cowboy will sell you an over rated system to grab as much federal government "rebate" as possible. The current "wave" of rebates are only possible because of the current "climate change" legislation. This legislation will end with the current government or a change of government. So if the law changes, Solar Advantage will be around but not the cowboys. Solar Advantage will sell you a system that in the event energy companies start charging you for feeding back into the grid, this system "feed-in" can be turned off because of the installation configuration. This is because Solar Advantage monitors all of its systems via your home WiFi connection. This also means Solar Advantage can remotely access the system to help troubleshoot any issues. A cowboy will have to come out and fix your system as an additional cost to you. This is to reinforce the fact that Solar Advantage will be around in the future when the cowboys are gone. The matter of having a "apocalyptic off grid" system is a fantasy. The just-in-time supply chain world we live in(reinforced by the fact of the 2026 Iran/USA/Israel war) where there is only three days of groceries on the shelf at any time. This is the reality of the "hydrocarbon(crude oil)" world we live in. The matter of owning an all electric vehicle was based upon calculations regarding "Total cost of ownership." As person with a background in geopolitical macro economics and accounting, I knew what would personally benefit myself and my family in the "just in time" world we live in. When I told the franchisee "cowboy" what I was getting, he started arguing with me that the battery I was getting would not keep my refrigerator going for a few hours. I did the math myself and my refrigerator would run for several days in the unlikely event of a total electric grid failure. I do not like "fear mongering" or being lied to. Where we live, the grid is quite stable and if the power goes out, it is only for five to 10 seconds. So with respect to the current wave of solar rebates and dealing with a company that embraces integrity with longevity business model, I highly recommend Solar Advantage for your solar/battery installation.

This is the solar/battery company of Carbon Savers, the battery offer was good and battery operation have been good.

But the communications before and after the installation have been lacking. We were not informed that the equipment would be dropped off on the Sunday before the installation. The discussion on backup circuits was perfunctory, and a second electrician' explanation of the switchboard didn't make any sense. I still haven't received any paperwork (manual, shutdown guide) three months after installation.

I googled materials and wrote my own circuit description, why there is a battery bypass switch, and what the shutdown procedure is, but I haven't had any response to a request to confirm that it is correct.

I can understand being under the pump with the rebate, but some standard procedures and guides would go a long way.

The installers for solar panels and hot water were amazing. They were respectful and friendly and very tidy throughout. We have them some lunch because the team worked so well.

It didn’t matter what time we called him he always returned our calls promptly! Hard working and dedicated to his job! Advantage Solar have been fantastic. They actually came out and consulted me on the installation. Looked at my bills and built a system to suit. Harry was awesome to deal with and is still available when i have questions. Other quotes just told me what they would install without explanation.
Installation was easy. All done in a day. No complaints at all!
