This company is absolute trash. Lenses are often misshapen and unusable. The rebate offering is the biggest scam in the world. The website form does not even work then they will gaslight you into it being your issue even after you’ve tried a number of browsers and devices. You’ll need to talk to several support people to get approved. Then email your receipt even though they have this info because they direct shipped it to my home, plus you need photos of the boxes. After all of that you need to print said receipt and snail mail it in. This company is garbage and does not care about their customers and offers a subpar product. It’s like this every year, never again.

Offer rebates but do not honor them. Gave me the run around for two days, asking me to have the eye Dr. revise the invoice and then after I gave them all the things they wanted was told I did not qualify because the amount I paid was under $250.00. Feels like a scam. I will not use this company again and feel like they do this often.

Just got the Acuvue Oasys Max multifocal for astigmatism,,,,What a mess I could see the blue ring around my eye looked bad…also they were so thick I couldnt stand it…I could see the blue ring around the eye….like I was looking through binoculars…..Just called my MD…No way. Why cant you make them for people with brown eyes…the tinting looks like an alien….THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE lenses I ever have worn…I am 53 and have been wearing contact since I was 14….
Dangerous caused lesions
These contacts seemed to have a blurry haze over them that would eventually wear off. But even worse they gave me multiple leasions on my eyes!! Do not use this brand. I was careful and clean. I followed instructions. They damaged my eyes.

It can't be more shady than your policy that you won't state the rebates offered until after purchase. If you can't tell me how much my contacts will cost I'll go elsewhere.
10 Years+ using Acuvue Lenses
I have been a contact lens wearer now for at least the last 10 years. I started with Alcon AirOptix which are thicker lenses than the Acuvue lenses and they dried my eyes out a lot.
My optometrist recommended since then to try Johnson & Johnson ACUVUE contact lenses.
I have a standard lens in the left eye, and a toric (astigmatism) lens for the right eye. I have never had a minutes bother with these.
At first I did make mistakes like inserting them inside out but then the 123 markers make it easy to avoid. They are indeed a thin lens but they suit my eyes well. They stay well moistened all day without the need of eye drops even in well air conditioned environments.
Obviously everyone has different eyes and we all tolerate things differently. That said, I speak as I find and honestly they have been the best brand of lens for me personally. Not sure if the UK version is different from the USA ones but the UK ones I use here in England are fine for me :)

Don’t be fooled by the J and J branding ; the lenses are exceptionally uncomfortable and kept moving in my eye. Poor quality and a complete waste of my valuable time.

It’s very hard to take off / remove from eyes. Eyes become red, and it potentially increase wrinkles around the eyes. Do not recommend their eye contact.

They make it ridiculously hard to get the little $100 rebate. You have to take photo of the product, take photo of receipt then MAIL receipt in the US mail and wait months to MAYBE get the money. Absurd. I will never buy from them again.

I have worn J&J acuvue dailies made in the USA for years. They changed package coloring a year ago and I immediately felt a change in product. After research, I found out they are made in Ireland. DO NOT BUY these..they start to deteriorate as soon as you put them in. I have started wearing another brand and will NEVER wear J&J again.
The most uncomfortable contact lenses I have ever worn
My new optician recently swapped me to the acuvue oasys lenses (toric in one eye, normal in the other) as he said I have dry eyes and these would suit me better. I had had no issues with the monthly biofinity lenses I had been using previously for about 10 years or the daily lenses I had been using before those, I only had an appointment because my glasses prescription had changed and I was reccommended to get a new contact lens prescription. The new acuvue lenses are the most uncomfortable contact lenses I have ever worn - from the minute I put them in I am aware of them and feel like I have sand in my eyes, and while this does improve slightly once I've had them in for an hour or so, I still cannot stand to wear them for more than a few hours at a time. I also find them difficult to re-use each day because of how thin and prone to folding they are when I take them out. I'm quite sure it has to be these lenses causing all of my issues as I was not having any problems prior to swapping to acuvue and my eyes are perfectly fine as soon as I take them out. Quite annoyed that I had to pay £70 for a 3 month supply which is now useless to me as I can't wear them. If anyone is potentially swapping to these lenses, I'd try to get some sort of free trial before comitting to buying any.
Acuvue = ZERO!
I would give Acuvue and their Rewards program a zero if I could. I have worn Acuvue contacts for 20+ years. Ever since they started their Acuvue Rewards program, I've received a $75 or $100 reward for buying 12 months of contacts. However, the reward NEVER works! It usually requires weeks / months of tracking down an email or phone number to get someone to help. After years of experiencing issues with their Rewards program, I've concluded it is a scam. A digital card or physical card is issued but it rarely if ever actually works. When I call, the offshore people claim they are powerless to help and can't do anything. This program is fraudulent and Acuvue should be held accountable for defrauding customers. OR... if it is legitimate, they need to improve their systems / processes so it's not impossible for customers to use the rewards that were supposedly granted to them. It appears they are now solely manufactured in China and the quality of Acuvue contacts is very very poor now.

Latest batch keeps blinking out
I've been using Moist daily-wear for several years with no significant problems, but the batch I got recently (from CostCo in the US) seem to come out very frequently, and usually at the most inconvenient times--like when I'm in traffic. I saw one other comment here describing similar problems, so this is +1 to that.
Something has changed--either the lenses or my eyes. But in either case I'm going to have to do something as the current situation is intolerable.
You will never see the rebate. So if you need that money to make it worth it, don't go with Acuvue.
I ordered a year's worth of Acuvue 1-Day Oasys Max. I was told there was a $200 rebate when I ordered the product through my optometrist. This made ordering through my optometrist a better deal than 1-800-CONTACTS.
The contacts are mostly fine. I'm working my way through the first 90 day box and have only encountered one defective lens. It was obviously deformed.
But don't count on that rebate, folks. They refused it outright with my first submission. I got that corrected and got an email on July 11th of 2023 saying the rebate was approved and that I'd get YET ANOTHER email within 14 days to claim the rebate. That email has not arrived. It's currently August 22nd.
I've sent yet another email to Customer Care. We'll see. But at this point, I'm not holding my breath.
Constantly falling out
I recently moved to Acuvue MOIST lenses when I heard that my current Acuvue TruEye lenses were being discontinued. The MOIST lenses are terrible. They are flimsy and fiddley to get in, and they constantly fall out. I've been using contact lenses for 15 years and these are by far the worst I've used. One has fallen out this morning after only 30 minutes because I blinked. Really frustrating and a total waste of money.

Rebate scam same as others said. They will make you mail in your receipt and reject it for whatever reasons. So if you manage to jump through the hoops meant to dissuade anyone from getting it, theyll reject you on some other reason.

Been using this brand for nearly 10 yrs until last week when opened a new batch, 1st lens split day one and next two lenses chipped on day two with remaining lenses being returned for refund. After checking reviews it seems I'm not the only customer experiencing the same problem and it may be a case of manufacturer changing the product without sufficiently testing it. Being a HGV driver it is not a pleasant experience having your eyesight and eye comfort seriously compromised in the middle of a shift and forced to pull over remove offending lenses and don glasses. Changed to BioInfinity Torics now.
Faulty lenses
Contact lens split in two pieces whilst in my eye. Costly opticians appointments were needed. Complained to manufacturer and got passed around different advisors all being very unhelpful. The experience made me scared to wear contact lenses again. Was told that 'normally they'd offer to replace the faulty product but that's clearly not suitable here'. Didn't get as much as an apology.
Would never use their products again!
