I didn't think I needed an Action coach after 24 years in business but the last 2 months with Simac made me realise while most of my business is working well I hadn't tackled some areas.

had high hopes for ActionCOACH given their bold claims about business support and accountability, but my experience was nothing short of appalling.

A meeting was arranged — a specific date and time was confirmed — and I set aside my schedule accordingly. What happened next? Absolutely nothing. No follow-up email. No call. No meeting. Not even a basic courtesy message to explain or reschedule. Just silence.

For an organisation that positions itself as a champion of business discipline, time management, and professionalism, this level of disorganisation is both ironic and unacceptable.
f this is how ActionCOACH handles potential clients, I dread to think how they manage actual engagements. My advice? Look elsewhere. There are plenty of coaches and consultants who respect your time and don’t ghost you before the relationship even begins.

I have been an ActionCOACH franchise owner for over 15 years. Joining the ActionCOACH community and starting an ActionCOACH business was the best decision I have ever made in my professional career. The support not just from the franchisors themselves, but from the wider ActionCOACH community is phenomenal; even though you are running your own business and get to take complete control of your success and your destiny, you are never alone. There are so many people around you to support you in the tough times – as there sometimes are – and to celebrate the successes. I have never been associated before with a company that puts so much emphasis on training and learning, and the education I have received through ActionCOACH will benefit me for the rest of my professional and personal life. Best of all, we get to make a real difference in the lives of business owners and their teams. I have been involved as a franchisee of ActionCOACH UK for the last seven years. During that time I have had some personal and business ups and downs, but the support I have received from the UK Head Office Team, Master Franchisors and every other UK Coach has been exceptional.
Like anything in life, nothing worthwhile is ever easy, and you have to be prepared to get outside of your comfort zone and be open to learning and changing.
I have not come across any other business that gives its franchisees the high level of support as they do at AC UK.
For anyone considering investing in a franchise, then do your due diligence, speak to as many coaches as you can in different areas and form your own opinion rather than taking my word, or anyone else's word.
One thing is for sure, as a successful coach, you can change peoples lives for the better, while making money and having fun along the way.

Having been around this business for the past 15 years it's remarkable how much it has evolved. The level of support given to franchisees is now so significant that you could be forgiven for wondering 'when will I get a chance to prospect for clients?'. Obviously, nothings perfect, yet by the criteria I originally set, this is certainly close enough for me.

Like anything worthwhile, it required a large amount of effort on my part to get things moving, yet when it began to gather pace I never looked back. As a result, I get to work with amazing people, inside and outside of ActionCOACH, and I certainly count joining back in 2010 as one of the best decisions I ever made.

And finally, as I'd ask any client considering investing their time and money in to anything...'What additional research do you need to do?' as one review is unlikely to be enough - even if it's this glowingly good one.

I'm sure they can deliver for their clients. However, if you are looking to become a coach, don't be suckered in by their slick, smooth marketing. Its very convincing, but very few coaches are making any money. In fact, some have lost an awful lot.
