It's a liberal scam to support liberal causes.

I have health, life, and auto with companies that AARP recommend. called the # for unitedhealthcare, wondering why my premium was taken out this month. I cancelled it mid-november and went with a different insurance. With a cancel date of 12-31-24.
they informed me i never called in and cancelled.
SO I ENDED UP PAYING TWICE THIS MONTH FOR HEALTHCARE INS.
BEWARE united healthcare are crooks.
in fact after such a horrible experience, i will cancel/replace every insurance product i have thru AARP. THEY CLAIM TO BE ADVOCATES FOR SENIORS......HA HA!

Waste of time to try to get their daily discounts on gift cards. Limited number such as 5 for the thousands of people trying to get the deal or the deal becomes unavailable due to “technical difficulties”.

Went to renew with an offer of $12 one year membership but when selecting it i instead got charged $63 for a 5 !!! year membership. And the login info which they verify will not work. So I can't access my account to cancel which they promise you " can cancel anytime". So charged too much and can't access the account. And can't reach anyone by any means (phone, text, email, chat, etc.)

I purchased Medicare plan G and D from AARP endorsed united healthcare. It was a horrible experience. I switched to competitor and saved two thousand dollars annually on premiums and copays. I then dropped AARP membership.

I'm curious why am I not getting my 10% discount on my room if I use it if I don't use it it's still the same price wen I use it please help me

Timeline of Events:

November 29, 2024:
Initial contact with AARP.

December 6, 2024:
Contacted AARP via chat. Representative Sue advised me to call Walmart at 1-800-924-9206. Called Walmart, which directed me back to AARP. Escalated issue with Amanda at AARP.

December 13, 2024:
Received an email from AARP Member Relations (Mariama Anderson), stating Walmart's Resolution Team would contact me.

December 23, 2024:
Followed up with AARP as no response or resolution was provided.

Ongoing:
Both Walmart and AARP direct me to the other, claiming it is not their responsibility.

Unresolved Issue:
The discount is tied to my AARP membership and cannot be re-applied to my new Walmart+ account after cancellation of the previous account. The lack of resolution has caused frustration and wasted time.

Request for Resolution:
I request that the AARP discount be applied to my new Walmart+ account, as promised in AARP membership benefits.

My dad had a acciental death policy with aarp. He lost his life in a accident in August. And aarp is denying his claim i have the coroner report and it states accident. So why are they scamming people out of there money. And was paying on it when he passed away.

AARP- STOP sending people to the Hartford. That company is NOT in business to help people. They take your money and cancel your policy because of the mistake they made. THE WORST!!!

Fortunately i only signed up for a year, still haven't received the free gift after three months. I don't like all the emails and did unsubscribe from them several weeks ago but every day there are more in my junk mail. The mailed publications are for the wealthy, I can't afford books, shows or travel the discounts are useless for people like me. The car insurance company told me they can't compete price wise with my current insurance. Why can't they just include some information for the average senior instead of being geared more to the wealthy? I turned off auto renewal.

I've had an AARP membership since I was 50, I'm now 60 and have NOT once used the membership, the publications are no better. If you're wealthy, not living on a fixed income, or disabled it might be great but if you're like a lot of older Americans, you're struggling, can barely make ends meet, etc and AARP will do nothing for you. It's a scam. They'll happily take your money, promise you the world, and deliver nothing. Nothing in their current model helps, supports, or even acknowledges people like me. Save your money and buy something useful like food, shelter, and medicine. Shame on you AARP. You're an embarrassment. Use their crappy publications to line your bird cages. Stay away.

If AARP supported Social Security and Medicare for seniors then they would have supported other candidates and other companies for seniors.

AARP should reconsider allowing an endorsement for Hartford auto insurance. Their quotes are higher than any other insurance company. How is this helping seniors with excellent driving records and credit ratings?

Tired of spam emails from this company. I get several day. I am not interested in their service.

Shame on AARP for touting United Health Care only. UHC has cancelled any Medicare Advantage plans in Alameda county that are connected with Stanford Health Care, leaving untold numbers searching to find a way to stay with physicians we've had for years.

AARP is the WORST!! I will not renew my Part D plan with AARP, nor recommend to others. Warn everyone away from their services.

Multiple phone calls accomplished nothing. All their people know how to say is "I'm sorry." But they can't resolve any issue. Useless!! Fortunately for me, there are only a few weeks left in the year and I won't need much.

It's worth paying a few dollars more to BC/BS or just about anyone else and not deal with their idiotic, incompetent oversees call center.

They waited my time and money with insurance I got from them, then they started sending me notices that my rates were going up. So I spent my little money getting insurance to leave my daughter a little, they kept writing me notifying me that my rates would go up. I spent 5 years paying every month and when they sent me that last notice I walked away, with NOTHING to show. AARP save your paper, your meager savings mean nothing to me so why don’t you save your paper. STOP SENDING ME MAIL BEGINNING ME TO COME BACK OR BUY THIS OR THAT.
