I recently went on a 4-day safari with this fantastic tour company, and I can confidently say that it was one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. From start to finish, everything was immaculately organized, and I could not have had a better time.

Philemon Joel, the tour operator, was the best. His pre-trip communication was concise and thorough, and he double-checked every detail—no easy feat when organizing a safari! Philemon's familiarity with Serengeti National Park and the local region was extensive, and it paid huge dividends in the customized itinerary he put together for us. He made a point to get us to enjoy all the good stuff without the crowds, so we could have a real and tranquil experience.

Our driver guide, Joshua, deserves a special mention as well. He was an excellent guide throughout the entire tour. Not only was he skilled in negotiating the park's sometimes difficult terrain, but his extensive knowledge of the wildlife was captivating. Joshua was always patient, always willing to respond to our questions, and made sure we were in the best places for wildlife viewing. His love of the animals and the ecosystem of the park added even more to the experience.

The safari itself was just incredible. We saw a stupendous amount of animals—everything from the majestic elephants to the elusive big cats, and Joshua made sure we had plenty of chances to take fantastic photos and observations. Each day was an adventure, and the accommodations were comfortable, so it was simple to relax after an active day.

Overall, I strongly recommend Aardvark Expeditions to individuals who would like to go to Serengeti National Park and other national parks in Tanzania. Philemon Joel's and Joshua's professionalism coupled with the fact that they love nature made this trip absolutely unforgettable. You will be in good hands whether you are a beginner safari tourist or an experienced adventurer.

From the moment we landed at Kilimanjaro International Airport, we were met with warm hospitality and seamless coordination. Our itinerary took us through Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire — each destination offering its own unique charm and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Our safari guide was outstanding — deeply knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about nature and conservation. Whether it was spotting elusive big cats or sharing insights into animal behavior, he elevated our experience to another level. The safari vehicle was comfortable and well-maintained, ensuring a smooth ride throughout.

Aardvark’s choice of accommodations was excellent. We especially loved the atmosphere at Eileen’s Trees Inn, and the immersive experience of staying at Hippo Trails and Embalakai Luxury Tented Camps in the heart of the Serengeti. The service, food, and views at each lodge were top-notch.

Every detail was taken care of — from timely pickups to well-organized game drives and thoughtful touches throughout the trip. Aardvark Expeditions provided us with a safe, enriching, and truly memorable adventure through Tanzania’s most iconic parks. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to Aardvark Expeditions and manager Philemon Joel for organizing a fantastic stay for me and my wife in Tanzania! We booked safari as well as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Aardvark. Philemon took care of everything needed in advance, and we had an unforgettable safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. The climbing of Mount Kilimanjaro was also unforgettable. Everything went 100% according to plan both for the safari and the climbing of Mount Kilimanjaro thanks to excellent preparations from Philemon and his team.

Aardvark provides excellent value for money and I cannot praise the company and Philemon enough. They employ high quality and very knowledgeable guides, and everyone within their team are highly service minded and professional. 4 days safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngongoro Crater on our 20th year marriage anniversary. We opted for a private tour, and it was the best choice with plenty room in the vehicle and only managing our time. Moison our guide was excellent, and everything went according to plan. We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 in one morning. The highlights were the cheetah, watching the sundown and sunrise in the Serengeti, the three lionesses with four calves right on the morning after we slept in Mawte Lodge, stopping the car, turning off the engine and just feel the vastness and lastly the sheer amount of life in the Ngonrogoro Crater. Thank you for Philemon for the organization and helping us out with our luggage setback. Only regret not opting for more safari days!

Amazing experience with Aardvark. Of course thanks to the beauty and richness of the landscapes and wildlife in Tanzania but also thanks to the professionalism and efficiency of Aardvark. From the first contact to the end of the trip, they were always very attentive, very flexible, making this 7-day private safari truly tailor-made. Our guide, very professional, very respectful of nature, trying to make us discover the best and our cook serving us dishes that we did not imagine possible in these conditions made this trip unforgettable.

We are a couple from Italy and can highly recommend the Arusha based company Advaark Ltd. and the manager Philemon. We did a wonderful one week safari in the Serengeti and Tarangire national park, manyara lake, Ngorongoro crater etc.
He organized the entire trip in every detail following exactly our needs and wishes. Especially we can recommend the guide and driver Donatus. He was a really special guy and we became friends after very short time. Not only his notions about the regions and nature where exceptional, he never hesitated to realize all our special wishes and to give us every thinkable help and information . He did everything possible to drive us so close as possible to all interesting sites and animals, his unbelieavable good eyes allowed him to discover even little animals from such al long distance we could not even imagine before that it would be possible. At the end everything was perfect and an unforgettable life experience.

We told the Manager (Philemon Joel) our budget and preferences, and within hours he replied with a customized itinerary that met our needs. He provided a great, well-stocked Land cruiser with lots of space. Our driver (Donatus) was very friendly, professional, and was honestly masterful at spotting wildlife we otherwise would have missed. He genuinely wanted us to have the best possible safari experience and really went out of his way (and off the beaten track) to achieve that.

Also, the hotels they arranged looked good on TripAdvisor, but were even better in person, and the “budget” tented lodges in the parks seemed pretty luxurious to us! One recommendation would be for the driver to share more information at the start of the journey and at the start of each day, so we’d know more about driving durations and what routes in the parks we was planning. The distances are vast, and if you’re not careful you can get pretty wiped out, but if you proactively ask for this, I’m sure Aardvark Expeditions would accommodate.

Hands-down, this was the trip of a lifetime. Aardvark Exp. was exceptionally responsive, trustworthy and informative. All of our pre-travel questions were answered promptly, and we had no worries that the Aardvark team would be at the airport waiting for us. The drivers were very professional, very safe on the road and extremely informative. Everyone we encountered spoke English and greeted us with a smile. Philemon took care of everything for our family (3 children ages 11 to 6) from hotel accommodations to boxed lunches (SO GOOD!) to transportation to and from the airport. The lodges/tents that we stayed in were some of the nicest places I've ever been in my life! Amazingly beautiful, hot showers, bottled water, pool, air conditioning, bug spray if needed, and the staff! Oh my the staff were fantastic everywhere we went, big smiles, songs, helping hands and very friendly. We always felt safe and never worried about our belongings being stolen or lost (except for a rogue baboon or two). Aardvark Expeditions is highly recommended for all of your travel needs in Tanzania! You will not be disappointed.

Being together with our three children and 9 grandchildren for the adventure of a lifetime! Seeing another part of God's world in a safe multigenerational environment. We had 3 safari outfitted Land cruisers operated by 3 extremely competent and courteous guides.

I can unequivocally say that Aardvark Expeditions is the BEST Safari option money can buy! We just finished a 7 day safari with a group of 17 family members! The trip was absolutely amazing from the pick-up at the airport to the final dropoff! The guides (Moses, Uriel, Brayson) were fantastic guides. They were super friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Their knowledge extended much beyond the wildlife and included geology, history and politics. All three of them spoke fantastic English. They were SUPER patient with our group of 17 which included 9 kids! I am convinced these guys are some of the safest drivers in Tanzania! Many of the other tour companies had drivers that were clearly driving way too fast and out of control. We saw the ENTIRE big 5 including multiple leopards, hunting cheetahs, and even 4 Black Rhinos! Before I booked with Philemon , I researched many tour companies and got quotes from at least 5 different companies. The price was unbeatable compared to the US and European based travel agents that apparently DOUBLE the price of the tour for their commission. Remember to be a conscious traveler, booking directly with the company insures that the money stays locally where the people need it the most. The booking process was super easy! The lodges we stayed at were top tier lodges with unbelievable service, food, professionalism and views! We stayed at Mawe Mawe, Embalakai, Rhino Lodge, And Marera Valley Lodge. I want to personally thank Philemon and the Aardvark team for the most fantastic family trip of a lifetime!
