Keep well clear of these cowboys. The bad reviews about A1 Ortos are 100% true, and I am going through the exact same nightmare. Missing log books, questionable MOT standards, poor PDI, lies about servce history , owners and a list of faults just keeps growing. The whole experience has been a joke from start.
Now, for the latest chapter in my saga: I had a Ghost and tracker professionally installed by an approved Range Rover installer. Note the word "approved" here. However, when I later ran into a fault with the vehicle, A1 Ortos refused to touch it, blaming the security system. They refused to honor any warranty until I pay to have it removed. Absolutely absurd.
There’s a huge problem here , nowhere in their Terms & Conditions does it state that aftermarket security devices like a Ghost or tracker will void their service or warranty. No mention of an A1 Ortos-approved installer either. But once a fault develops, they refuse to take responsibility until I foot the bill to remove the device. So, my choices are, 1 . Don’t fit a security device and risk having my Range Rover stolen (and deal with the sky-high insurance premiums and the hassle ), or 2. remove the device to get any sort of servce from A1 Ortos. This is a serious issue and a breach of the sales contract and they have no business treating customers this way.
I've now opted to reject the vehicle under my consumer rights 2015 within the fisrt 30 days , but just like the other reviews mention, Paul, the manager, is just fobbing me off and typiacl silence , I can already tell this is going to be a long and frustrating battle, but they’re dealing with a consumer who has the means and the energy to take it all the way , i have already started legal proccedings against A1 Ortos .
Do yourself a favor—stay far away from A1 Ortos, and make sure you read the negative reviews as well as the good ones. Base your judgment on how the company handles the bad reviews, that's the true mark of their customer service .

Oh my, it seems my honest review has really caused some upset. Well, the truth does hurt, doesn’t it? And please, please, stop dredging up old emails this is getting very boring. The court will only look at the facts, not that I said “thanks.
Yes, I thanked you but only for issues that should have been rectified before delivery. I thanked you for changing the rear tyres that were illegal. I thanked you for fixing the second key. I thanked you for repairing the damaged under-panel that was flapping about. I thanked you for balancing the wheels (I have your email, Paul, apologizing that you forgot to do that) I even thanked you for pointing out the water ingress in the rear boot coming from the rear light—apparently, water coming out of the light is “normal”? and the log book ? were is the log book . All of these pre-delivery issues were handled after the fact, and yes, I said “thanks,” but that does not absolve you of responsibility for leaving them unaddressed before I took the vehicle home leaving it in a dangerous state .
Now, let’s talk about the NEW major faults that occurred after delivery, on 30th April. The gearbox fault that i have reported to you on at least three separate occasions. The braking system fault, and the rear door fault are all new issues. The vehicle broke down twice. These are serious faults, entirely unrelated to any aftermarket tracker or “Ghost” system. You cannot bring up my previous “thank you” emails to excuse or dismiss these faults they are new problems, and your repeated attempts to do so are misleading, childish, and unprofessional.
Bringing up a post I made about the tracker installation in an attempt to undermine me is irrelevant and petty. It has nothing to do with the threatening poor service I have received from A1. Your future customers are reading your reply, and they will likely think the same as I do , that you will do anything to discredit a customer and bend the argument in your favour.
I have formally rejected the vehicle, and my review accurately reflects the experience I have had.
Attempts to deflect responsibility, intimidate me or twist facts will not change that. I did come in to see you, but all I got were threats that you would leave the vehicle in a public car park , if I did not accept your terms , then you got out the old emials agian then the i have a family just like you , a lesson in customer service I’m sure your university didn’t teach.
If I could give you zero stars, I would. Your childish reply, trying to spin the actual facts and misuse my previous emails, shows exactly what I intended when I wrote my review. So, thank you, Paul for demonstrating exactly why I wrote it.

A nice bunch with rather nice stock.
I was after a specific car and had looked at a fair few, these guys had a couple of them in, both specced with my preferred options so I popped down on a Sunday at short notice. They were presented really well, both stood out from anything else I'd seen. One of them was basically a 'just take my money' car, so I asked them to do just that.
The car had up to date FDSH and a reasonable bit of MOT left on it so I was expecting it to be sold like this. They put a fresh MOT on it and two premium tyres, phoning me to make sure I'd be happy with their tyre choice. I was.
The car came with up to date FDSH which would of included a gearbox service for the VW DSG. They did a DSG service and a engine oil and filter service anyway. Just because I'm assuming.
I was dealt with by one person throughout (thanks Tony), making it all feel seamless. My questions were answered honestly with zero sales patter, not that he needed any, the car was 100% as advertised.
I would recommend having a look if they've got what your after in stock.
