We've had a really positive experience with 5D. There is a plethora of information, support encouragement and dedication on offer! Excited to work together. All the team have gone above and beyond so far

When I first joined this group, I already had experience growing up in family-run businesses, but I’ll be honest — I didn’t really know just how many wider opportunities existed in the business world. The idea of actually acquiring existing businesses wasn’t even something that crossed my mind back then. Looking back now, it’s incredible how much that perspective has shifted.

The group has been a game-changer for me in so many ways. The learning resources are second to none — from the way the whole process is broken down into manageable modules, to the weekly live calls with internal and external experts, and the in-person events that take place across the world. But what’s made the biggest difference is the people. The networking opportunities have gone far beyond just business contacts; they’ve helped me deepen my knowledge, opened doors I never thought possible, and most importantly, allowed me to form genuine friendships with people on the same wavelength as me and connections that I know will last a lifetime.

Since joining, I’ve been able to step into opportunities that I wouldn’t have even thought possible before. We’ve acquired businesses generating strong revenue and healthy profit, and that has had a real impact on both our professional goals and personal lives. It hasn’t always been easy — like anything worthwhile, it takes effort, time, and commitment — but the support and community here have made all the difference.

For me, this journey has been about so much more than just M&A. It’s been about growth, confidence, community, and realising what’s truly possible when you surround yourself with the right people and the right knowledge. I can honestly say it’s changed the direction of my life and business for the better, and I’d recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who’s ready to take the leap.

Great programme with clear advice, useful tools and templates, with a supportive community of people at all stages and experience levels.

I started with almost no knowledge and bought my first small business in six months.

Dee and the team are open, experienced, and easy to learn from.

I gained a lot such as practical skills in valuing, assessing, negotiating, structuring offers along with the confidence to close a deal.

Earlier this year I learned that I’d be in a redundancy situation from October. I’ve been potentially impacted by redundancies 3 times in the last 2 and a half years and I just couldn’t do it to myself to try and survive another one.

So, I broadened my horizons to escape the corporate rat race and put myself back into the driving seat. After doing a bit of exploring the business acquisition world seemed so daunting but then 5D came along and suddenly this world opened up.

I’m only about 6 weeks in but I’ve learnt an incredible amount from the Roadmap and from all the excellent masterclass and deal or no deal sessions. There’s also an app to keep in touch with all the members who are always willing to help no matter the query.

I’ve gained the confidence to speak with sellers and currently have a healthy pipeline of deals in review - and that’s before my off-market lead gen which is currently in the works! As practice I’ve been reviewing on-market deals via brokers and took my first deal into deal or no deal a couple of days ago!

I’m very grateful for 5D and the brilliant community - there’s so much help and support. The constant news of deals being done is incredibly motivating and if you approach this with an open, inquisitive mind I don’t think you can go far wrong with the group behind you.

I am living proof of this course. Joined in 2023, followed the road map and did exactly what was set out. I’ve brought 1 business and have 2 more currently going through legals. Really glad I found 5D, The road map is easy to follow and has comprehensive info. I love the deal or no deal, so good to have practical specific advise. No hard sell.just genuine help. But do remember you have to do the work otherwise nothing g will come of the knowledge. Would totally recommend

I joined this M&A program last year, and last week I signed my first deal. Honestly, the support has been brilliant. The feedback, deal review sessions, and guidance have made a massive difference for me.

What I really like is how they bring in all sorts of professionals – lawyers, accountants, finance brokers, and even recently, cyber security experts, so you’re not just getting help with the acquisition, but also with growing and protecting the business afterwards.

As long as you’re willing to put in the work (because nothing worth having comes easy), the support is there every step of the way. I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but I’ve genuinely had such a good experience that it’s worth sharing.

3 deals closed to the good. One with a global footprint. Soundly structured with zero capital invested on closing. 3 different sectors, none of which related to my previous experience. I do have significant business experience prior to this. Just some facts to start with.

I've been a involved with 5D before 5D was a thing! From humble beginnings you might say. The very beginning. Long before the community offering was what it currently looks like now. It's evolved, grown significantly and have witnessed first hand, strangers, who are now great friends close multiple deals over the years. If we had the tools systems, strategies and processes we have now at the start - would have definitely been a smoother ride.

I've also supported other folk on their deals up to closing too sharing experience and knowledge.

Buying a business is not easy, it takes hard work, determined minds and a focussed approach. Do not be mistaken, you have to do the hard yards. They do not drop in to your lap and are handed over on a plate. 5D gives you the tools to do this. But you have to do the work.

Dee, a great friend, was instrumental in guiding me with some of the more complex elements on what was a challenging deal for one company. Open, honest, supportive, creative, encouraging and available.

Our pipeline is strong, post acquisition growth is happening and in the process of an international purchase in the US. Would this be happening with out learnings from the community - absolutely not.

If you are serious, committed, hard working and willing to learn, there is no better space in the M&A world to cut your teeth with your first acquisition than with the 5D program.

** Caveat - You have to do the work though guys.

As the managing director of Wharf Financial I come across a lot of companies and what I have come to realise is that the people behind the logos and profiles are the most important thing. Dee, Jac and the team have welcomed me with open arms and made my experience a positive one. They have introduced me to some great contacts and I have learnt a lot. Thank you to the 5D team

I acquired 3 Cleaning Businsesess in 18 months. Dee and 5D have been amazing in my M&A journey. Without this programme I would have had no idea! I now turnover just under £1,000,000 and this is down to what I learnt in 5D. Its hard work though so be prepared.

Some of these reviews are sad to read… “too complicated” or “too advanced”. Unfortunately, like anything you don’t get gifted success. Acquisitions is hard and advanced but it can be done from anyone who actually shows up and wants to learn.

Since joining in April, we have gone through the material , shown up to the weekly calls or watched them & been able to:

- start a business venture that was sparked from joining 5D
- on the way to acquire a business
- Merge with a no money down revenue split deal.

All things that bring success come with effort. If you put the time into this and learn it, you have endless opportunity.

Great group of like-minded people.

I've learnt a lot from the group and that alone is gold even though I have yet not secured a deal.

This honestly is not a fake review, simply believe there is great value here for people who want it and are coming from a background of box standard employment or people who have started and ran their own business.

This will help you purchase more in your desired sector.

Recommendations -
Pick a niche sector that you know a lot about.
Try to attend all the events, network with others and talk to many people. There are many free and paid for events as part of the membership.
Most of all focus only on buying a business and try not to get caught up with, building the website, setting a company, creating a brand, working out taxes, creating a fancy lead generator. Those are all side goals.
Focus on the only goal.

With that mind set, I know I'll be fine.

5D promised a full refund if no deal was secured — I have this on a recorded onboarding call where it was described as legally binding. I engaged fully, sent 500+ outreach emails, and booked two lead gen sessions.

Their public response is misleading. I did book the sessions, and their “completion” data is flawed — they only seem to have data for 6 months, despite it being a 12-month program. They also ignore that deal-closing modules weren’t relevant as I had no deal.

They acknowledged my formal complaint but never responded. I’ve now filed a Small Claims Court case and reported them to Trading Standards.

Michelle, my life partner and I, both baby boomers entered into a professional agreement with 5D in February 2025, having completed our due diligence.
We believed that if we followed the process we could develop a successful strategy to build an additional income that would enable us to continue to live a great lifestyle with additional freedom financially.

We began to learn a new approach and each initial challenge we faced was handled effectively to enable us to continue the process.

The quality of information and the format in which it is offered and delivered is first class, in our opinion.The addition of an existing network of contacts is a huge advantage and it seemed that every area was covered in a simple and professional manner with no fuss, just a very straight forward and authentic approach that was clearly working for many existing and new participants.

Four months into the process it became obvious to us both that this was not going to be the future we thought it may have been, by which time Michelle had found something that was better suited for her to develop her passion. We came to the conclusion that we would be better served in leaving the group and felt duty bound to speak our authentic truth and asked to leave the program in an honest and heartfelt way.

Once again many thanks for the way you have chosen to honor our situation and resolve the issue with a minimum of fuss. Your professional and compassionate approach has enabled us to be heard and considered and we truly appreciate you and your brother for how you have maintained a moral and ethical code in coming to a win-win situation for both parties.

I signed up after a call and what seemed like a really good offer, unfortunately I made a hasty decision due to the limited time offer in the hope that this was a legitimate business strategy. I don't doubt that this is a workable strategy for a niche group of people, however it just didn't resonate with me despite the initial excitement about the possibility of becoming a business owner. Admittedly there are live calls where you can ask questions but in terms of support from the team it was very poor. My messages were basically ignored after realising it was not for me after listening to a lot of the material on the program and joining several live calls. I think for people who have significant business experience it could work for you, however most of the terminology and complicated statistics as well as the legal stuff was just too overwhelming for me. Maybe with hindsight i should have done more due diligence before signing up hastily because of the seemingly generous discount offer on the day. I should have known better regarding this sales strategy but i honestly believed this was legitimate and a good fit after the sales call. The most disappointing thing is that the after care was completely lacking, I at least expected a response to my numerous attempts to reach out for support but was ignored. The problem was they set up a loan agreement for the monthly payments which unless you want your credit score ruined you cannot cancel despite being unable to pursue the material in order to obtain a business. I felt somewhat betrayed as i trusted these guys to act honourably and not take my hard earned cash for something that was just not a good fit for me. I don't think i could have known this without giving it my best shot. My advice to anyone considering this is think very carefully as there is no support or refund of your investment if it doesn't work out for you.

I just wanted to take a look first - see what they’re about through their content, webinars, etc. I’m familiar with several reputable M&A professionals who have built their credibility over many years. In contrast, my experience with this group has raised serious concerns. Their approach lacks transparency and does not inspire trust - and here’s why:

Ask yourself this — if they’re truly smashing it in the M&A space and making millions, why on earth would they be flogging overpriced courses just to get into some so-called “community”? It’s obvious they’re making their money from course sales, not from deals. Real millionaires don’t have the time (or need) to hustle courses like this.

Don’t fall for the fake reviews: It’s painfully clear most of them are self-written or paid for. Nothing is ever that perfect. Hundreds of glowing 4–5 star reviews? Come off it. They won’t tell you that the vast majority of members never end up buying a business, or worse, end up in a right mess. Look up the actual stats — in the SME M&A world, upwards of 90% never close a deal. Read the 1-star reviews first — that’s where the truth is.

Utter rubbish: Do your homework. Learn from seasoned experts — those with 20–30 years of real-world success in M&A. The top minds in the field will tell you outright: “No money down” deals? That’s complete bollocks. And even if possible, it’s extremely rare. If a business is going for no money down, chances are it’s in serious trouble and comes with enormous risk.

Don’t trust them: There’s a “private” Facebook group they run. A few people who paid for VIP access have already said the team didn’t deliver what was promised. It’s all designed to funnel you into one of their so-called “strategy calls” — classic bait-and-switch to sell you a course. One of my mates got on a call with some bloke called Aaron Sparkes, who clearly only cared about whether he’d bought in. As soon as he realised my mate wasn’t biting, his attitude flipped, and there was zero accountability for the empty promises made.

And here’s a red flag if there ever was one: Why’s Dee living in Dubai while pushing these schemes? Not to generalise, but Dubai’s become a hotspot for the “fake guru” lifestyle — courses, flash cars, curated social media... you name it. Just Google “fake gurus” and you’ll get the picture. They’re selling the dream, not the truth.

Bottom line — do your research. Don’t fall for the hype. They know exactly what they’re doing, and it’s morally bankrupt. If you genuinely want to learn, there are loads of high-quality resources out there — and most are free or only cost a few hundred quid, not thousands.

I’m writing this to help stop more good, hard-working people from being taken for a ride by snake oil salesmen like these. Don’t get mugged off. Cheers.

[Replied]: The mere fact that, once people have paid and raised questions, none of your staff respond or are anywhere to be found speaks volumes. It strongly suggests that this programme - lack of accountability raises serious doubts about the credibility of the programme and what is being offered. Don't you wonder if it's a SCAM?

I was very impressed when I first heard Dee speak on a podcast, he seemed very knowledgable on the topic of buying a business.

I later joined the 5D Program group with my wife and honestly cannot thank Dee, Santino, Adam and the team enough. Managed to buying out my boss using the MBO strategy, used the 5D deal team to do it and now I'm finally a business owner - my own boss!

This is a total scam, they sell you a dream, they pop up all over your social media to entice you to buy business. They tell you there are businesses up for sale every day and baby boomer age range wants to sell their businesses. It's not as easy as they make it out to be. Don't get me wrong I'm not afraid to learn and im forever developing my knowledge and understanding but it's a way of taking your money and just leave you in the deep end with no support after you pay, you are left to find your own way out, there's no after care team to guide and support you. I totally regret it.!!

Very professional and slick - and the value proposition makes sense.

However be warned, if the timing isnt right for you - they will scrap for relative pennies. Act in good faith and it isn't necessarily returned in kind.

It is a commerical enterprise in the end - so just be careful as the group is very quick to wave terms and conditions at you in order to keep any deposits if you choose to pause.

[post reply to review] - Thank you for your reply. My spelling of wave is correct, you have interpreted it incorrectly. Despite communication with your team, you have chosen this approach. Left with the overarching feeling that you are picking up pennies ahead of a streamroller.

If you're happy with the approach as an organisation that is your perogative.
