Report filed with FTC

Here is the report filed with the FTC (see below). Also, after being blatantly ghosted (I finally requested a refund, twice) I was left with no choice but to file a dispute with my credit card company.

I should mention, the program I had bought, Media Mogul Academy, centers around creating AI videos for businesses with their software called Jangle Jam. Their claim is that you can charge as much as 25K per month(!) for these video assets.

Anyone can get on a site like Upwork or Fiverr and hire a reputable freelancer in most any in-demand field for extremely competitive prices ($10-$20+ per hour if we’re talking overseas).

There’s also some excellent AI software that can make ultra realistic looking videos with a much lower subscription price than the $59 per month plus credit packs that these guys charge.

So who in their right mind would purchase custom videos to the tune of up to $300k per year when they can pay a fraction of that for the same thing? Pretty sure this is utter BS.

Even though every email I sent was perfectly cordial, they not only chose to ignore me, but they ignored my 3 requests to pause the jangle jam trial and as of today, 5/19, there is a new charge for $59 pending which I just filed a dispute for as well.

And this is while I already have an active dispute with them! These guys are oblivious, just completely out to lunch.

Before submitting this final dispute against them, I reached out last night and again this morning to ask why they did not honor my request to pause. Crickets.

Onto the report-
This complaint is regarding bad business practice. They say in their FAQ that they may recommend simple items that will cost $50-$100 'here and there'.

The reality is that after purchase, the software comes with a monthly subscription fee, and there are credit packs for purchase to actually utilize the software. They do not indicate how many credits you will actually need to purchase per video (it's an AI video making software).

Also, I reached out to the company for help, they answered 1 of my questions and said they would respond shortly to answer the rest and that was 8 days ago. I followed up 6 times, including twice to ask them to pause my subscription trial, and they have completely ghosted me, even though I kept all of my correspondences completely cordial.

After learning that legally, additional mandatory fees must be disclosed before purchase, I sent them that information as well and they still did not respond.

I also purchased their bonus upgrade which, they don't reveal what it is until after their 2 month refund period has elapsed (they drip-feed the video trainings), come to find out that it is a different service, not related to the original purchased (though they can be used together), and they have a variety of softwares they sell in order to utilize that service.

Regarding prices, one of the software packs is $499 for the year and then monthly subscription fees starting the next year, and another software is $349. Well above the $50-$100 here and there that they indicate in their FAQ.

Lastly, their promotion said to 'buy now before the price goes up' and so I did. Then they raised the price and slashed it by 65% as a 'special', making it half the price I paid. The advert says 'one day only' but that was two weeks ago and as of today, 5/14/26 it is still half-price.

Had they simply responded to me, I probably would not have discovered that this is an illegal business practice. It was only after being BLATANTLY ignored that I decided to do some research and discovered that their false claim of '$50-100 here and there' is considered classic bait and switch.

I am filing this report in the hopes that no one else is scammed, and fortunately I was still within the credit card dispute period.
