My instructor, Franco, was always respectful, supportive, and professional. He believed in me and remained patient despite the mistakes I made throughout my learning journey. At the end of each lesson, Franco took the time to explain what I needed to improve on and provided constructive feedback that helped build my confidence.
He created a calm and encouraging learning environment, never making me feel embarrassed about getting things wrong, and consistently motivated me to keep trying. His professionalism, understanding, and dedication to helping his students succeed truly stood out. I genuinely appreciate all of Franco’s guidance and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor who is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about his students’ progress

I passed 2nd time however I had 3 different driving instructors. 2 of them were great however 1 of them named John was absolutely awful to me. I had told him I had booked my 2nd test , and he agreed to help me however when my test was near he decided to fully cancel on me and refused to let me use his car for the examine. I was left alone and did not know what to do and my theory would have expired in a month, but luckily I found a new instructor to help me and I passed!! Would not recommend John, honestly one of the rudest instructors I’ve encountered

Passed my driving practical recently; Farid A Chowdhury is a great instructor. Patient, kind and encouraging. Good School of Motoring, and a very good instructor. Ask for Farid, he will not let you down.

My instructor farid was really helpful and patient. He was also great to talk to and made me like driving.

I passed my driving test for the first time thanks to Anup! He’s an amazing instructor who teaches you to truly understand the road — not just how to pass the test, but how to drive confidently and safely.

He’s patient, clear, and incredibly supportive, which made a huge difference to my confidence. Every lesson felt calm, structured, and focused on real progress.

Anup has been the best driving instructor I could have asked for. I highly recommend him, and thanks to his excellent teaching, I passed my driving test with 0 faults.

What stood out most was how he adapted every lesson to my pace. If he saw that I was progressing quickly, he moved things forward without wasting time. At the same time, whenever I needed extra support, he took the time to explain things properly and make sure I understood.

I was particularly impressed by the simple abbreviations and checks he taught me to help stay safe and aware on the road. He also went the extra mile by using a toy car and a book to demonstrate road positioning, junctions, roundabouts, manoeuvres, and how to handle different traffic situations. Those visual explanations made complex concepts much easier to understand.

Anup is patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping his students succeed. I was fortunate to find the right instructor on my first attempt and never felt the need to look elsewhere. Passing with 0 faults was the result of his excellent teaching combined with our shared determination throughout the learning process.

I passed my driving test today thanks to Anup from 1st Time school of motoring, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!

He was incredibly patient, calm, experienced and supportive throughout the whole process. He explained things clearly, gave lots of useful tips and techniques, and always made sure I fully understood everything before moving on. Even when I was nervous or doubting myself, he stayed encouraging and helped build my confidence.

What I really appreciated was how dedicated he was — he would genuinely try to move things around to fit lessons in and make sure I was fully prepared for my test. I always felt like he cared about helping me become a safe and confident driver, not just passing the test.

Thanks to his teaching, I felt well prepared for both the test routes and driving independently overall. I’m so grateful for all the support and would highly recommend Anup to anyone looking for a driving instructor!

Learning to drive with Stephan Hassan, also known as “Coach,” has been an outstanding experience from start to finish. From our very first introductory meeting and assessment lesson, his approach was professional, constructive, and incredibly reassuring. He immediately identified both my strengths and weaknesses and created a well-structured lesson plan tailored specifically to my needs and progress.

Every lesson was organised, purposeful, and delivered with a high level of discipline and professionalism. He maintained strict standards throughout the learning process, which pushed me to improve consistently while also building my confidence behind the wheel. His teaching style was patient yet firm, ensuring that I developed safe driving habits and a strong understanding of road awareness.

When I first started, I had very little confidence and almost no driving experience. Through his dedication, guidance, and structured teaching methods, he completely transformed me from a beginner into a fully test-ready driver. Coach consistently went the extra mile throughout my learning journey. This included carefully planning lessons, conducting realistic mock tests, covering potential test routes in detail, and thoroughly educating me on driving standards and examiner expectations. His commitment to my success was evident in every lesson.

I had a previous instructor who wasn’t progressing me well enough, so then I was recommended Franco. Franco taught me how to drive efficiently and safely and helped me past first time. Would 100% recommend to anyone who is trying to pass.

My driving instructor Ahmad was very patient and ensured i knew everything in time for my test. He also made sure I was confident enough with all the experience i acquired which led me to pass 1st time with only 3 minors!!

I had a great experience with Suleiman, the driving instructor. His way of explaining and breaking down the information was extremely clear and helpful. In just six hours, he helped me fully understand the Sidcup area and succeed in it. I’m very grateful for his support, and I truly recommend Suleiman to anyone looking for a patient, skilled, and professional driving instructor.

I have to thank Abeer first and foremost she is a brilliant instructor she is very calm and she will encourage every step of the way. When you lose faith in yourself she will always be there to support you when you need her! She will ensure you get it right if you don’t the first time. I am so thankful and grateful to have had her as my instructor and I happily PASSED my test with NO minors or faults thanks to her!

I started my lessons with franco last year. From minute one of getting in the car franco made me feel welcome and comfortable. As im a older person at the age of 48 I was a bit apprehensive and nervous about learning to drive but franco was patient and gave clear instructions of what to do which helped me settle in to my new challenge fairly quickly. After taking test on first attempt I was unsuccessful. franco was quick to build my courage back up and got me to jump straight back in the car and go again. I recently passed my test and can’t thank franco enough. Would recommend to anyone looking to start driving lessons, sort out franco! Top man!

I told them the date of my test and they were able to find and instructor for me. Anup was great and funny. He was able to help me pass first time round, great guidance and excellent teaching style.

DO NOT BOOK FAHAD as a driving instructor. He is late to appts, does not update you of lateness, took money, refused to give lessons, refused to return outstanding monies, poor communication until I threatened to report transaction as fradulant to the police, bank and 1st school of motoring. Very unprofessional. Does not confirm the length of driving lesson until after he has delivered the lessons and then charges amount. He stated he only gives 2 hr lessons but does not make this clear from the outset.

After reporting him to the driving school (who took my fraudulant claims seriously and supported me to get somr of my money back). He did eventaully return some of my money. But i am currently still waiting the remaining monies.

I have basically been chasing him for 4 days for my money. And his excuses are unprofessional and unacceptable (out of town, funeral, busy etc etc).

This review is based of my experience with fahad ONLY (one of their driving instructors). This review is not based on 1st school driving as a company.

I have evidence to support all of my claims.

Will npt be using FAHAD again. Neither should you.
