Richer Sounds - Newcastle Anmeldelser 

Ordered a turntable and speakers in store 3 - 5 days delivery. Following day received a phone call that speakers were in store, asked about the turntable and was asked which one had I ordered (?) when I told him he said he'd never heard of that model !!! Contacted again after two weeks and was told the couldn't get in touch with the supplier. I cancelled and got a refund. My advice before ordering 1. Make sure they know what's on their website 2. They can actually supply what's on their website.
8/4/26 update - further to this I was contacted by Paddy Hall from customer services who was incredibly helpful in assisting me in selecting an alternative system and liaising with the Newcastle store to arrange collection. Although reluctant to do so Paddy convinced me to allow them the opportunity to rectify the original error which they did with great efficiency. I now look forward to making an additional purchase. Thanks once again Paddy.

Friendly helpful staff with good knowledge. It started with my 20+year old phono stage faulting on me when I took it in to see if it could be repaired they said they would phone the engineers first to see if a repair was possible before it cost me money. Unfortunately repair wasn't an option so after discussing my options i settled on the fosi box x5 and can say I'm very impressed with it.

I popped into Richer Sounds in Newcastle to see if they had protective case for my Kann Ultra. The sales assistant said they didn’t have one in stock but could order one for me. He said he could have one delivered to the shop the next day or I could have it delivered to my home address. We discussed colour and price and I was walking back out of the shop again in no time. Excellent service. And I am delighted to say I was handed my item the next day as promised by the delivery man. You can’t fault service like that.

I sent an email asking about a product that was showing as out of stock.

A short time later the store called and gave me the details I needed including amount of stock coming on with the next delivery and how many were already sold. I was able to place my order and have it delivered to my home.

Great personal service instead of just an automated email reply.

I want to extend my sincere thanks to Richer Sounds Newcastle and their representative, Callum for the exceptional support and service during my home cinema build. From the very beginning, he and the team demonstrated a deep understanding of home theatre design, equipment integration, and overall project planning.
Callum was incredibly knowledgeable and guided me through every step, from choosing the right audio setup and projector to ensuring the room layout would deliver the best possible viewing and sound quality. Their communication was clear, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the entire process both exciting and stress free.

We have recently moved on to installing the control 4 system into my home. A home automation system that unifies lighting, audio, video, security into a single platform. I will leave a separate review of this once complete.

I volunteer for a non-profit and we recently purchased a large screen TV for our meeting room. Ordering over the phone was made very easy with sound advice on mounts and commercial warranties. Unfortunatly we had not one but two faulty units, but both times the return and exchange was handled quickly and efficiently. We're very pleased with our choice to purchase via RS, I doubt that we would have had such good service from other well known retailers.

I had to replace a very early smart TV by Samsung and had identified that it would either be another Samsung OLED or more likely, the award winning 2025 LG model. LG was the winner and, as ever the Richer Sounds experience was excellent. One happy customer... now to wire in some quality speakers and enjoy classical music better than the TV can manage. Thanks once again to Richer Sounds!

Good advice from a person who knows what they are selling.

The communication between me and Richer Sounds was great, very helpful with my requests. I walked into the shop and was greated by Harry who was very helpful and understanding. I listened to both of the set up cd players and amplifiers and speaker choice. I purchased the Marantz cd and amplifier with the Fyne audio speakers which are fantastic. Harry asked me about the cables that will connect everything up with pricing and the length. I now have a fantastic Marantz setup thanks to Richer Sounds, I would highly recommend them.

Mebtiomed to Telesales that I could get my TV cheaper elsewhere, they give me a great discount. Went into store , all was done and ordered within minutes. TV delivered and now installed. Happy so far.

Excellent Service from Euan and the Newcastle team.. I was seeking a Monitor Audio centre in Ash but they weren't available online..
He sourced one direct from them and had it delivered within a few days and the communication was excellent. Would highly recommend. I will be coming back for the next upgrades.

Quality of service and advice is great. Purchased new pair of headphones. Only downside is that I've had to purchase a separate headphone amplifier to use them as neither the cambridge amplifier or denon record player has headphone socket. That needs to be shown before customer buys the unit.

Great advice and service in the shop, as always. When my cd player was delivered it was found to be faulty. When I reported this, staff were extremely helpful and quickly arranged for a new cd player to be delivered and the faulty one taken away.
