UPDATE: 4th July - I have been directly phoned and contacted and offered 2 solutions upon publishing this review. I have opted for a replacement product and will provide a final review regarding the product and overall experience upon receiving the product.
I purchased this bed on 31st May and it was delivered on the 2nd July. I did request a redirection 3 days after placing my initial order and anticipated a slight delay however the additional processing time was extensive.
Upon delivery Hunter Express did not notify myself or building management. The item was left in a communal rubbish disposal area and mistaken as waste and was dismantled, sorted and disposed of.
Upon prompt notification of this series of unfortunate events to Tommy Swiss customer service for assistance, their reply was disappointing. They offered only replacement parts. I understand TS not wanting to take accountability for the actions of the courier that led to the compromise of my item, however Hunter Express are an extention of your customer service experience. They do however have a responsibility to ensure the item their customer pays for reaches them safely, securely so that it can be used for its intended purchase and they failed in this situation and failed in providing a reasonable outcome.
I'm considering lodging a claim with Fair Trading NCAT as I'm out a couple hundred dollars and no bed for myself and toddler.
Had a little mishap with the delivery, however James the owner was quick to contact me personally and make sure everything worked out. I was able to get my replacement bed quickly.
We ordered through Tommy Swiss as they claim their delivery service is very good! On Monday we were expecting a bedhead, and bedframe. Only 1 box of 3 arrived, not entirely their fault, but there is no contact number to call them, no customer service dept, and no way of reaching out other than emailing them. Initially they were quick at responding, but as time has gone on they seem to have less interest in whether we've received our goods. There are many other companies out there to whom customer service is an important part of their service.
As an update, and following further emails, I'm pleased to report the Courier did deliver the rest of the order, on Saturday morning, after returning the items to the depot twice. We are happy with the products themselves, but Tommy Swiss should consider another courier company for reliability.

The bed has arrived with damaged packaging and the fabric of the bed ripped this was weeks ago the company communication is poor and I still don’t have a resolution

Ordered a bed frame, the delivery driver threw it across the balcony and the box was completely ripped open and all the pieces had came out of the box and were scattered everywhere. Missing pieces for the bed. Asked for replacement parts, ended up never getting them. Got fed up and went to bunnings and bought the missing screws.
Customer service did respond promptly and were courteous but when you spend a few hundred dollars on a bed you expect to receive it on time with all the parts to the correct address, anything less is disappointing. Personally would not order from this site again.
Jimmy got in contact with me and resolved my issue thank you will shop there again in the future

Website claims one day dispatch, heard nothing, sent multiple follow up emails, there is no contact number, weeks go past hear nothing.. leave a review on their site then get sent an email suprise suprise - still no product.. scammed?
Management tried to blame that my emails weren’t received.. however was able to provide multiple emails from info@tommy
The only time i was taken serious was after my reviews and telling them i had a dispute with bank… then my product is dispatched and i start receiving emails from them again… MAGIC!! Tommy is unable to use a phone to make a phone call?
I had to purchase a new cabinet after not hearing from them for 3 weeks as the new house we moved to didnt have anything built in..

Bed and mattress are perfect, the gas lift bed was easy to assemble and mattress extremely comfy. Lots of storage underneath the bed which I really needed. Very happy!
Okay lets start how amazing this bed frame! So muchh storage underneath and so elegant 🥰. It matches my ottoman perfectly. I got the beige version and im so happy with it ! But theres a twist though, im not happy with the shipping company :/. Why choose hunter express for shipment? Not so good and definitely so angry when they told you “The package is out for delivery “. Make me wait all day ! then the package arrives tomorrow afternoon at 5 pm. Anyways the package arrived perfectly! All the parts wrap up beautifully and manual guide book is so easy to follow 😍. Highly recommend this everyone.
If you’re elderly or not able bodied, please steer clear. They have advised in several emails that they expect their customers to assist their one courier driver with heavy lifting, or they won’t deliver your items. Even more ridiculous, they won’t deliver to any place that has stairs to the front door due to “OH&S” laws, which would be getting violated regardless since they don’t arrange delivery with the appropriate type of courier for the weight and size of their products.
Your customers aren’t labourers, it is entirely unethical to refuse delivery if they can’t help your subcontractors lift furniture.
We recently bought 4 items from them, 2 beds and 2 Tv units. The bed took over 2 hrs to assemble, the stickers that identifies parts where incorrect, short screws that didn’t meet threads. A disaster!! I then tackled the tv unit. What garbage. Not only damaged, but the quality of the manufacturing was so poor it wouldn’t even assemble. Absolute nightmare. Their quality control is terrible and I’d never consider another purchase from them. Stay away!!!! Sent it all back for a refund. 1 thing they got right was the refund.
I have not bought anything from this company but the reviews are so consistently BAD that I wanted to express how they have totally turned me off considering any purchase (which I was).

We ordered a queen bed frame, not only did the box come damaged with a huge hole in it, upon opening up the box the whole back of the bed was ripped through the fabric of the back of bed head. Not only that the drawer screws were bent & we were unable to put it together. I reached out to the company for a refund & some answers as to what on earth had happened with our “brand new product we paid over $460 for”. The lady said that with the hole being at the back of the bed head & not visible & not affecting durability they would offer me a $30. ARE U KIDDING ME. It’s like me telling you “here’s your new car, there’s a huge scratch down the side of it but it doesn’t affect the durability so who cares”. The company tried to blame it on the supplier & claims it’s not their issue. What a joke!! They are selling a product & as a paying customer I expect the product to be delivered in good condition & not damaged. After back & forth emails they then offered me $70 refund & asked me to return the bed head in original packaging.
I am taking this further, what a stitch up. Do not recommended anyone buying from them, there is no contact number or manager to speak to - all contact is back & forth via emails!!
I purchased the Emilie Gas Lift Storage Wing Bed Frame (Charcoal Fabric) for our spare room in 2022. As I unpacked it, the bed had a strong chemical smell.
I tried so many methods to get rid of the smell but I can still smell it as soon as I walk into the room.
The bed doesn’t come with instructions, you will have to contact customer care and they will email it to you. Overall an ok bed but the smell just puts me off.
I have wait a very long time to write this review. I have to give it a 2’q star because the smell is terrible and won’t go away after such a long time.
To summarise:
- Tommy Swiss delivered unsafe and completely misleading products to my house. Admitted it was of unacceptable quality, offered a partial refund and have ghosted me for months. I have fair trading involved and the ACCC to help obtain my refund because they are now trying to weasel their way out of consumer rights- despite sending me a bedhead with a protruding nail (that they assured me would be quality checked), pink dye in the folds of the grey fabric, and completely uneven stitching.
This is A SCAM. If you buy from them, be prepared to take them to court. They have violated consumer rights and it is very easy to guess that Tommy Swiss thinks they can ignore consequences and paying people what they're owed.
Still waiting 4 WEEKS LATER for my bed to arrive. Blaming the delivery services for it not being here. Constant emails with little or no replies. NOT HELPFUL. Currently sleeping on the floor waiting for this bed to arrive. Requesting a refund !
Ordered a Tommy Swiss bed recently and had it delivered via courier. One package was missing and 2 weeks later we are still trying to get Help from Tommy Swiss to locate the missing box. Extremely disappointing response and typically from a large web based company there is no phone number to ring to try and find a solution. Poor effort Tommy Swiss and good luck to anyone else in the same boat 🤬
I recently bought a bed frame from Tommy Swiss, advertised as featuring a premium-grade woven linen blend fabric for the headboard. However, the fabric I received was cheap and uneven in texture.
I had called out the cheap quality to the customer team prior to building the bed but was advised to proceed to build the bed anyways.
As expected, The assembly process proved challenging due to poor-quality wood slats with irregular thickness that scraped apart, extending the frustration to over three hours to build.
Furthermore, the bedframe's promoted metal legs turned out to be a combination of plastic and metal, contradicting the product description and making them unsupportive and prone to damage.
Additionally, the bedframe is excessively low.
It's worth noting that when I contacted customer service, they responded by stating, "it's important to note that the king-size bed you purchased is one of our budget-friendly options allowing customers to manage their expectations accordingly."
I strongly advise reading reviews beforehand and adjusting your expectations accordingly. Had I done so, I would certainly have avoided purchasing this bed going through the build process which was proven redundant and dealing with the tedious and unhelpful customer service at Tommy Swiss.
Extremely dissapointed and felt mislead.
Dont purchase from this company, the bed frames are not realistic to assemble, the part are not labelled. the screws are all thrown together in a bag. the draws dont align properly either. the colour matching is also very off. would not repurchase
