The only reason I’m giving one star is because Ava has been terrific with my facials, and has improved the condition of my skin over all the time I’ve been going to her.

But the shady and deceptive business practices I can’t do. They tell you after the fact that they have a “no refunds policy.” They sure conveniently forget to say that when they are practically arm-wrestling with you to buy treatment packages while you are just trying to pay your tip, get out of there, and get on with your life. This should be the first thing they tell you. But if they do that, they know many folks would not purchase packages on the spot like that. Who wants to throw away hundreds of dollars like that?

And what business doesn’t have some sort of refund policy - especially in cases like this when you just bought a package a few days before and never used used any of the sessions? This makes no sense. Anything can happen. It’s pure greed and coercion.

It is also not a way to keep your customers. I have been going there for years. But their treatment of me with this guarantees that I won’t be anymore. But on my way out, I intend to get my money back, and have already taken steps to take my complaint to the state. I deal honestly and upfront with people. And I have been a good customer for years. They picked the right one to pull this nonsense with because I am not having it.

Don’t buy online before u schedule the appointment, because the give you after 2 months and don’t return the money

The services are great and Alisa is always so informative. I imagine I’ll continue to book appointments for every and anything else long after my laser hair removal treatments are complete.

Front staff was friendly. The person who worked on me was literally the best person ever! So nice. So friend. Super warm and comforting. Great bedside manner. Great convo. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer person.

Melody was just fabulous! She was very professional/friendly and she did a fantastic job doing my full leg laser hair removal. This salon is clean, stylish, and has excellent equipment. Melody did a fantastic job explaining the entire procedure to me as well as what to expect next. My legs look great and there's absolutely no pain. I'll be returning for another laser session next month with Melody.

Laser Genesis is a,wonderful treatment for mature skin. The fine lines on my forehead are vanishing with the first treatment.

To begin with, my appointment was postponed 15 minutes, and when I arrived there I waited an additional 15 minutes.
Used the toilet: no toilet paper and no paper towels.
Then, the icing on the cake: worst waxing experience ever! Not only my esthetician did a terrible job, she was also extremely rude to me. She pretty much did not say a word to me for the entire time (and there was no ambiance music, so kind of awkward...), but when she finished I noticed patches of hair left behind pretty much all over my legs (I took pictures, so I can prove it), and when I asked her to remove it, she literally told me "Honey, we already went trough 2 cans of wax, the wax is finished, if you need a touch up book another appointment". Give yourself a favor: avoid this place.

I love the new flatiron location. it is on the ground floor. I have been getting laser hair removal her for year. I just started seeing Rima. She is great. Always pleasant and very knowledgeable.

I have been coming to Skin Spa Boston Back Bay location for years! I moved out of state a couple of years ago and was thrilled to be able to come back to this location for my massages, waxing, and facials! The staff is amazing and they are very friendly! I would name my massage therapist, but I don’t want everyone taking all of her appointments! Just know she is the best! 😊

I purchased a spray tan at their flatiron location and booked it for last saturday. I get a call the Thursday before telling me that they don't offer spray Tans at that location. I understand mistakes happen, so I ask them to please refund me for the spray tan as I can't use it. They tell me that they have a no refund policy and I will have to use it for another service. Apparently they are reaching out to corporate to see if I can get a refund but I'm positive no one is doing anything and I just lost $80. Its been over a week and I've heard nothing. Terrible.

Very pleasant facial experience. Seemed odd that a spa would have audio with commercials (sorta pulled me out of my relaxation mode for a bit), but not a huge dealbreaker.

A visited the new location on W20th St...Fantastic service, treatment and environment. Staff were courteous, friendly yet totally professional.

I love this place. The massages are good, and also the facials are worth your time. They also do a great job on tans. My skin is oily and they take care to customize and tailor the treatments to your skin type. I want to do the laser treatment but it's pricey. Go here to feel pampered and to escape when you need to.
