Very disappointed repeat customer
Love the product, but support is terrible.
I was trying to get a replacement for damaged glasses, and about 75% of the way through the process, the rep that was working with me just completely went MIA. Now, on the website, I have a shopping cart with my replacement that will not submit no matter what I try. Very disappointed repeat customer.
Update… Still no progress on getting a replacement. Finally received an email from a different associate, who emailed me a “manual invoice” to complete the replacement transaction. The previous associate I was working with said that I could replace with the same style in a different color, as the color I am replacing is no longer available. Well, this “manual invoice” is only good for the unavailable color (it was a special edition) and I am unable to complete the replacement process. This experience has solidified that I will never purchase a Shady Ray product again. Yes, their name says it all. Knocking down from 2 to 1 star.
My order arrived in a damaged box
My order arrived in a damaged box, and the sunglasses were damaged as well. The customer service response was rapid, responding within minutes of my initial response, and sending a new pair without any hassle.
I would rate them lower if I could
I would rate them lower if I could. They have shipped my first order with them to an address in another state, that I did not give them. As far as calling them to advise them; three voice mails for assistance and now on hold once again for 15:00 minutes without speaking to them. Their customer service motto is “don’t answer the phone and maybe they will go away”. First time ordered from them and probably the last time.

Just to let you know that I have many pairs of sunglasses, from $15-$300, but yours are my favorite and best ones I have ever had. Both my wife and I have bought 2 pairs and we love them. Everyone is so clear! Thanks for your great product!!
Style Great...Quality of Lenses Not So Much
I have bought probably 8 or 10 pair of sunglasses from SR's over the years. It seems that the quality of the scratch resistant coating is not nearly as good in the last couple of years as it had been. My glasses all seem to get scratched in the course of normal use quicker and quicker. I have purchased replacements for several pairs today but I think I will go elsewhere in the future to get glasses where the lenses last longer.

Ordered and sent to the wrong address
Ordered and sent to the wrong address, customer pretty much immediately fixed the situation and have a new pair on the way to me! That’s going above and beyond and was not expected. I will be a customer for life.
Customer service & quality dropped
***UPDATE*** it’s been over two weeks since I was provided a replacement order form. Completed it but still no update on my replacement order, no order number, no sunglasses. I’ve been told they are “processing as quickly as possible” several times and still no clarity. Suspicions confirmed.

Found this company a few years ago. Loved my first pair. They lasted and eventually broke- got them replaced with a new pair, a week later that pair broke. 2 breaks in a month in the exact same place. Frames have gotten cheap.
They used to have good customer service and quality.
No phone number to call. No response to email or texts. Online “warranty claim” won’t let me move forward.
Guess I’ll be switching.

Poor craftsmanship, lack of Customer service response
I purchased my shady rays less than six months ago. I contacted them about the defect in the frames and the prescription lenses. I returned the glasses to them. They corrected the prescription lens problem, but not the frame problem now I’m getting no response from them at all. I’m a big fan of Oakley because they are OSHA rated and I can wear them for safety glasses. I thought I found something new with Shady rays that I could wear outside of work, but if their customer service isn’t that good and the frames are made that cheaply I guess I’ll have to go back to Oakley At least their warranty works, and the people are responsive. My suggestion don’t buy.

I bought a pair of prescription…
I bought a pair of prescription sunglasses from them about 2-3 years ago and they have now broke 3 times in the exact same spot. Between my nose and eyebrow eveytime. It is nice to be able to get them replaced, but I would look for better quality if you want prescription glasses, the $160 is not worth it if I have to replace them every year.

Great glasses and great company! I had an issue with my glasses after 8 months and in the same day of reporting the problem they shipped out replacements.

I bought a set of Shady Rays Sun glasses but forgot to give them my distance prescription. I ask to send them back - and pay the difference for the prescription. Was told that policy is - they won’t work on “used sunglasses!! Buyer beware CUSTOMER N0 SERVICE

Great Customer Service.
Initially had a tough time with the warranty. However, they did do the right thing. Their products are good and durable for the price. I will be purchasing from the more oftern.

Just absolutely professional and most importantly friendly customer service. I had an issue with my one pair of glasses, simply emailed them, and was responded to by a helpful customer service representative. I’m a customer for life!
Not worth the money or hassle.
I bought a pair a few years ago thinking the warranty would be perfect as I tend to break mine. I managed to keep them safe for a year. I put in for my free replacement to find out they wanted to sell me more and it cost $15 for shipping. I never did get the replacement pair. I found the same exact sunglasses at Walmart for under $10 a pair.

Bad Replacement Policy
Bought a pair of Shady Rays and they broke after 6 weeks. Tried to utilize my warranty for a free replacement. Problem is they still want $16.89 processing. What a scam!
Great Customer Service, great products
Shady Rays has great customer Service. They have great sunglasses. I ordered progressive lenses and frames and knew they would be good but turns out my new sunglasses are great. The clarity of the lenses is so good.
