I was blown away by the level of…
I was blown away by the level of support and encouragement that SAVA provided to me during my Certificate in Residential valuation course. I have studied with SAVA before and they were superb then which is why I returned. I would strongly recommend using them. They wont leave you floundering and they will support you if you feel it gets too much.

I wouldn't be where I am without Sava.
Sava is a fantastic training course for those looking to get into residential home surveys. Having personally passed through the course I know I wouldn't have progressed as far as I have in my career without their guidance.

The best way to enter the profession
The Sava course is ideal for those of us for whom full-time education is no longer an option. The delivery is excellent – taught by experienced, practising surveyors who bring real-world insight to the learning. The course content is thorough and delivered at a pace that supports genuine understanding. Assessments are challenging but ultimately rewarding, leaving you well equipped and confident to begin your new career.

Excellent training and guidance.
I found the programme to be exceptionally well structured, with knowledgeable and supportive staff who clearly care about the success of their students. It is challenging, as it should be, but absolutely achievable with the right mindset and effort. Any negative feedback likely comes from those who could not cope with the demands. The reality is that becoming a surveyor means entering a profession held to some of the highest standards and the programme reflects that responsibility by maintaining a high bar, which I welcomed. Having completed several degrees and professional programmes, I can confidently say this was one of the best I have undertaken. It truly set me up for success in practice.

I completed the Surveying Diploma 3…
I completed the Surveying Diploma 3 years ago. The course is designed toward the residential sector. The tutors were excellent. The work load is strong, however this has to be expected from a Level 6 course, this does set you up for the future. I have since been employed by national surveying firms, carrying out valuations for my different purposes, lending and non lending, I have completed many level 2 and 3 inspections on different manor of properties. SAVA has opened more doors for me professionally, I also have met some great individuals through SAVA, who I now class as friends. I have since been able to open my own practice, we currently have 7 employees and the company is organically growing. This would have not been possible without enrolling and completing the SAVA course.

Awful course
Awful course. Extreme workload with little help and you have to buy all your own equipment and find all of the 10 houses yourself to assess. They have an almost completely hands off approach. Consider a masters degree or training within a surveying firm for much less money and much more help. In addition if you have a family or other responsibilities it could take you 3 years + to complete the work. It’s also 15k-18k in price for the course.

It would be great if we could discuss the issue further to determine how we could have supported you more; however, having checked our database we have no record of you ever having trained with us (appreciate you might be using a pseudonym on Trustpilot).
The Level 6 Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation is a career change qualification equivalent to a degree in terms of academic rigour. The qualification is priced very competitively against a degree and the average qualification time is 24 months. We have a dedicated support team available to help you during the qualification; however, the second phase of the course is your assessment period where you're expected to complete a portfolio of evidence on your own. You are assigned an assessor to support you and help you along this journey. Generally speaking, learners will choose to inspect the homes of family members, friends, colleagues and neighbours to complete their 10 case studies.
We do make it very clear that how long it takes to complete the course will depend on how much time you can commit to the assessment tasks as this part of the qualification is largely self-motivated (with reminders from our assessment team).
The benefit of the Sava course over university is that you can train part time, qualify in a fraction of the time it takes to complete a relevant degree, and join the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as soon as your qualification is complete. We appreciate that the Sava course isn't for everyone, but it has opened the door to a new profession for many individuals who are looking to achieve a professional surveying career without going to university.
