Very helpful and polite

These guys are really good ! I've purchased 5 shirts over the last 3 years from H&C and they've all been brilliant quality at an excellent price. The last shirt I bought in August had a slight fault, which when reported, was dealt with immediately with no quibble and a replacement sent within 3 working days. Thank you Shuma, great service and your help is very much appreciated.

Don't buy from Hawes & Curtis. Awful suits, awful customer service.

Extremely disappointing returns policy:

I bought a suit online from Hawes & Curtis, including trousers where I selected a shorter inside-leg length. I accept that they class this as “customised”.

However, when the trousers arrived, I was extremely unhappy with the fit and how they appeared compared with the product represented online. I therefore sought a refund.

Despite repeatedly explaining that I was relying on my statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, rather than simply exercising a change-of-mind return, Hawes & Curtis refused to consider the matter and simply referred me back to their policy stating that customised trousers cannot be returned.

In my view, this completely fails to address the distinction between a company's own returns policy and a consumer's statutory rights where goods are alleged not to conform to the contract.

Customer service was ultimately unwilling to engage with the substance of the complaint and closed the case.

I would not buy a suit from Hawes & Curtis again, and based on this experience I would recommend that anyone purchasing a suit online thinks very carefully about their returns policy before ordering.

This is very bad 👎 service for charging the customer twice the items had been returned. Delivery charge and return charge which are unexpected.
If anyone what's to buy clothes this shop be ready to pay double price

Seems to be an issue with their online ordering system in the UK. Customer Service is slow and inefficient.

I order some shirts for my holiday, and did not received anything up till now more than five weeks

Commande de 4 chemises j’en ai reçu que 3… ils le disent après un délais très long avoir scanné et envoyé les 4 chemises alors que j’en ai reçu que 3. Soit de la mauvaise foie soit un vol d’un employé mais en tout cas aucune solution trouvé donc attention quand vous commander.

No email arrived my order which after a few days I had to reach out to customer services. It took two days to get a response from a ticket raised. When I eventually received contact it was quick and efficient but did not support me with an order number or invoice just a link to when my order would arrive.
I am also very disappointed with one of the ties I received.
The tie with the fluer de lis pattern, the tie arrived shiny and looked like it had been pressed with an iron.
I understand they were on sale but I expected more from such an esteemed brand.

My partner has previously purchased three suits from Hawes & Curtis and has always been pleased with the quality their products. He visited the Edinburgh store hoping to purchase a replacement suit carrier, as the one he previously received had become damaged. Unfortunately, his experience in store fell far short of the standard of service one would expect from a premium menswear retailer.

Upon entering the store, he was not greeted in person. Instead, a female sales assistant called out, "Can I help you?" from the back of the store, rather than approaching him to offer assistance. After he explained that he was a returning customer who had previously purchased three suits and was looking to buy a replacement suit carrier, the sales assistant went to fetch the manager. He explained he was happy to pay for a suit carrier replacement. The manager then came out and, without introducing himself, greeting my partner, or asking any follow-up questions, simply said, "John Lewis." That was the entirety of the interaction. While I appreciate that Hawes & Curtis may not stock replacement suit carriers, the issue is not that the item was unavailable. It is the manner in which my partner was treated.

I subsequently emailed the customer service team, requesting communication with the store to ensure this did not happen again. While customer services did investigate, they informed me that 'The team has assured me that our colleague was polite'. I work in retail myself, albeit for a business of a lower calibre than Hawes & Curtis. We also sell suits and suit carriers, and I cannot imagine responding to a customer's enquiry in such a dismissive and abrupt way. In my 8 years' retail experience I have never responded to valued customers' questions with an abrupt two word answer. The insistence of politeness is an insult- my partner left feeling embarrassed and dejected, as though he had been spoken to as less than human. After spending hard-earned money on suits previously and choosing to return to the business, the quality of service was not there.

It was very nice to communicate with Miss Laura as she gave me the fastest service for my issue. I will shop with this brand again for the quality and service.

Very impressed - I ordered on 9 July, 2026 which included an adjustment to the length of a suit trousers, the whole order was dispatched on 10 July, 2026, and I got it on 14 July 2026 ... I live in the Sheffield Area.

When I unpacked the delivery of 4XShirts + 2xPiece Suit, every thing was in excellent condition + Trouser length was perfect. Unfortunately, the Jacket width didn't fit - difference is 5 inches - such that I couldn't close it, which is a real shame because it fitted every other way. However, the return conditions enclosed in the package are totally clear, including the fact that you have 28 days to Exchange.

I cannot fault this service or the quality of the goods - I will definitely shop here again !!!

Customer service was excellent, highly satisfied

I visited the Westfield Shepherd’s Bush H&C shop today. I received really great service from the three members of staff I met there. Each of them were very helpful and courteous and couldn’t do enough to help me. (I felt compelled to write a review because I received the polar opposite from the ignorant and rude staff at Charles Tyrwhitt a few minutes before). I know where I will be shopping for my work clothes in future. Thanks guys!

I ordered a 38 short jacket, the one I got is bigger than my 40 regular. Nobody answers the customer service calls, email takes forever to respond. Avoid!

I've been buying colourful shirts and trousers from this company at their Edinburgh shop for quite a few years now. It's always been a pleasurable experience with friendly, knowledgeable staff helping to choose but without any hard sales pitch. I recently had very good service from one assistant, Satty I believe his name is, which encourages me to come back again even though my wardrobe is bursting.

Customer Service were both kind and efficient. They understood the problem quickly and sorted it out, replacing funds as they indicated.

Customer Service NEVER reply. Already sent an email days ago titled "TrustPilot Review", got no reply.
Overcharged me for 2 shirts at £35 when they were only £20. Told to travel to store to get a refund, when I arrived I was told they couldn't give refunds because the system was apparently broken. Staff in all stores are extremely rude. Still haven't received my refund.
