Freya & Thor offers Swedish handmade, sleek & minimalistic jewellery, taking inspiration from Norse Mythology. The brand was founded in April 2017, with an ambition to offer modern bracelets, necklaces, earrings & rings with a unique design. The Hammer Mjölner became our first Collection, & symbol for protecting the world against inequality, pollution & other threats of the modern world. In 2020 we designed and launched the second main collection out of inspiration from Freya and her tales. Out of deep affection & longing for her husband, travelling the world during long times, she cried Golden Tears the tales tells. The Tear drop became our symbol of deep love in the Tear of Freya Collection. Freya’s second Collection saw it’s light in 2022 – “Lynx of Freya”, designed based on the trust, loyalty & devotion the wild cats showed Freya, helping her pull her chariot whenever travelling somewhere. We not only aspire for people to wear our products and look good, but we also hope you as a wearer will strive to defend our world from poverty, pollution and other for our world evil things, just as Thor did. My Freya’s Tears necklace is gorgeous. I’ve worn it almost every day since getting it! While on vacation I lost the chain; contacted the company and was able to order a replacement chain. Great customer service and beautiful merchandise.

Vi strävar alltid efter att göra vårt bästa och är alltid intresserade av att höra input från våra kunder. Vi har försökt skriva mått och storlek i övrigt så tydligt vi kan, låt oss gärna veta vad vi kan förbättra för att förtjäna fem stjärnor - vi älskar att förbättra. :)
En sak vi skulle kunna överväga är att göra en större version, baserat på din input. Att göra nyutveckling är alltid en "stor process" och gjutformar ska göras och allt ska plåtas och retuscheras etc. Men när vi nytvecklar gör vi ju det också för att vi hoppas att produkten ska bli uppskattad och älskad, och att den ger mål och mening med sin story. Det vore väldigt spännande att höra vilken storlek du tänker dig på hänget? När man göra smycken större behöver man hålla dem konkava på baksidan för att inte bygga för mycket material och tyngd - hur ser du på det?

The necklaces broke the first time I wore them. I am very disappointed and will be requesting a refund.

Updated status and reply (17th of March 2023):
We were in touch with you over e-mail where you said both necklaces broke the first time you wore them, and that you decided to throw away all the jewellery, and that you cannot reclaim it anymore, but you wanted a refund.
Each chain is pull tested before they come to our foundry, and then when we ship them off to the customer, we pull test once more. The likelihood that your necklaces have broken is therefore very, very small. The likelihood that the pendants have broken is zero as there isn't anything that can break.
All in all, we are sad that you claim these things, and that you have thrown away one necklace made in highest quality up-cycled Sterling Silver 935, which has been plated with 24 carat gold, a second necklace made in up-cycled Sterling Silver 935, and the pair of earrings.
We hope that you see that we are a genuine, hard-working brand, we want to reach out with a story of empowerment and beauty, both on the inside and outside.
Therefore we hope that also our story, and your jewellery pieces story can inspire you to be true and genuine in your life going forward. As this will help not just you, but also the people you meet in your life. The more people that can act in a nice way towards other, the better this world will be.

We are partly shocked and confused - you ordered two necklaces and both broke? We normally never have any mal-functioning necklace chains. One chain out of 100 has a malfunction or is wrongly produced (human error factor). But it also sounds strange since we test and pull each chain before sending them to a customer.
We of course would like you to return the chains, we will inspect them, and then return fully functioning necklace chains, plus reimburse you for the postage costs.
We will also e-mail you to sort this so that you are five-star-happy in the end.
