Bought a brown door from stevenswood before they went bust and started again ,the paint started peeling off so went back to stevenswood to see if they would honour the 10year guarantee but they wouldn't as it is now a different company,so went back to door stop expecting them to do something about it but they wouldn't saying that the guarantee is with the retailer. The door is now a complete mess but leaving it in and telling everyone who comments that it's a doorstop door so don't get one, must have cost doorstop £100s by now

This is one of the best door for my lovely bedroom. The price and quality are really good. I'm looking for this type of product at my budget.

i have a rosewood front door fitted and is just over the 5 year warranty. The door paint has blistered but doorstop will not honour the claim. so i asked if they will supply some paint so i can fix it myself but they will not give me some .

Had a Door Stop International composite door fitted last year by a local installer, it was rubbish from day one.
Totally out of line and bowed.
The installer tried countless times to straight the alignment up but it just would not work, eventually found that the screws that hold the hinges to the door and frame that are fitted during manufacturing had no thread on them, the door was basically hanging on the screws that were just pushed into the frame.
Apparently the uPVC frame that these composite doors are fitted to do not have metal reinforcement on the inside of the frame..
We have now noitced that the grey outer colour is starting to fade & peel.
Anyone thinking of having a Door Stop International door installed should seriously look elsewhere.

I am so sick of this company now, like others have said their service is beyond a joke, Doors turning up damaged constantly and then they only send you half the door (no frame) back so you can't install it anyway.
This has been going on for years now, shame on me for not knocking these cowboys on the head back then.
Please read the reviews as not just me, if you like your company reputation to get ruined by all means use this company otherwise please stay away, one day they might get the hint and change but until then dont waste your life on these incompetent fools.

Been waiting Over one year for them to supply a new door to replace a faded one !!!! 1 YEAR!!!! Not really much else to say. Can supply email proof

Ordered 2 composite fire doors for some new build apartments. Doors were meant to arrive at the end of April, then delayed until the 12th of May. Called Alpha Plastics who sourced these to be told delayed again with no update. Myself and Alpha have called in excess of 15 times over the last 2 days and still no answer. Clients entering there new luxury apartments on Monday with painted wooded fire doors until we get these doors. Shocking level of service. Cant speak to anyone senior even the senior sales managers mobile number is unknown by the staff. Offered to drive the 5 hours to collect, but again nothing. Sort your act out. They are owned by Premdoor, dealt with them for years and are excellent - Ochilview Developments

The door that thay produce ate poor quality the paint finishing is reels poor would not bother with this company

I had my new Windows and doors fitted in July 2021, straight away I noticed marks on the door. My fitter contacted door stop who supplied some trim to replace the one with marks on. Within 24 hours the door wasn't fit for purpose. It had dropped, it was sticking and I couldn't open it. I contacted the fitter who came and tweaked the door, it was OK then it happened again a few weeks later. The fitter came back did the same only this time there was a huge gap letting in cold air at the top. Long story short we have been playing yoyo with doorstop (who won't deal with me because the fitter got the door from them) the fitter has been in contact with door stop and photo evidence has been supplied but they said that because the frame is Bowed it can be Bowed back, I can not open or close this door without difficulty, I have had to screw the handle back on after it's worked loose due to not being able to shut it properly. I will be taking legal action. Don't waste your hard earned cash on this company, we are so much out of pocket, I need a new door frame!

Fitters Avoid Avoid, Terrible customer service. No aftersales Service at all. From the simple things like miss caps etc to Having the full Door mech failing where you can not open a door to change this and Doorstop will not help you. Saying they are not capable to send someone out as they do not have aftersales. Been in the window and door buisnees for 28 years and never heard anythin like this. Will not be buying these doors again.

The guarentee on there doors is not worth the paper its written on.
We have had a few issues with there quality control and they seem either unwilling or incapable of issuing a resolution in most situations.
Very unlikely I'll be ordering any more doors with this company.

We had a door fitted, not by this company, but it was one of their doors. The quality is terrible, the surface has lifted and left us with a disgusting mess on our front door!
I contacted my supplier, who in turn contacted door-stop they didn't want to know...our door was only just out of its 5 year guarantee.

I have had a door fitted with 3 small side windows . Each window has a white glass mark but not in uniform corners and not in pictures. Looks very unprofessional, still waiting to hear back if they can replace windows to match, if white marks can be removed or will they replace my door ?? Beware if ordering any door with more than one window they just don’t seem to care.

This company is not the slightest interested in the fact that a door they have guaranteed for ten years is now warped so badly you can pass your finger inside. Its only three years old, and they are not replying to my complaints.

Purchased my front door nearly 7 years ago. Hinges recently started to fail and a seal also split. Called them and within 48 hours I had a new set of hinges and door seals were delivered to my front door.

Been in the fitting industry for 36 years, been using Doorstop for about 10 years (maybe longer), previously we have had very few issues with the product they supply but as of 2021 (leading into 2022) we have had nothing but trouble with their product; on the past few especially, having spent longer getting the hardware to work than actually fitting the thing. We've had lots of parts missing, many parts damaged (and shoddily covered up), a lot of issues with 'tolerances' that are nowhere near good enough; not to mention the fact the frames are far from strong enough to support the slab effectively (on the rare occasions they are actually square). As of today, having fitted another s**t door we're going to source our composites elsewhere. They might be a few quid cheaper than others but the time on site isn't worth it, a nice morning's work turns into a day and you still have to go back for the missing or wrong parts. Avoid like the plague!!

Absolutely awful. From the quality of their doors to the quality of their customer service. Always promised better but never yet received any form of decent service.

Please do not buy a door from this company! I wish I could give no stars! Our composite door has never been right from the start, it's more draughty than our old wooden door and everytime it rained it leaked around the glass and we had it resealed several times. Gradually everything on it has fallen apart, letterbox broke, 2 hinges broke, rubber seal came off the bottom of the door, paint came off weather strip at bottom! Finally when the door started fading in patches we asked for a replacement under their so called guarantee. This guarantee is worth nothing as they refused saying that we should not have used soapy water to clean it and must only use water to clean it!! What a load of rubbish!!!!!! We are now having to pay for a new door after just 6 years and paying £1200!! Please check that your fitter is not supplying you with a door from this company before you order! I do not know how this company is allowed to carry on trading!!

AWFUL DOOR AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID!!!!!!
We got a door from the composite door company and supplied by this company.
It arrived and appeared nice if a little flimsy given it wasnt that cheap.
Once fitted a few weeks later we had heavy rain and the water dripped through the glass panels forming a pool and damaging our floor.
We called them and were told it wasnt their issue and we would need to hire someone and pay for panes to be sealed.
After about 8 phone calls (one with an incredibly rude and disrespectful 'manager') we were no further forward. Their advice and promises were inconsistent between staff and in the end nothing got done to fix the issue. And apparently no complaint would be registered and no compensation.
Now a year on the door looks a bit out of line and the handle has just broken. We wont even call them now as to be honest they wont deal with their faulty products.
Rude staff and poor quality.

Very poor service don’t use them ordered a composite door through a installer with a side panel.Arrived after 4 weeks.Actual door was missing from the order .Installer ordered again took an other 4 weeks to come.The day of fitting old door were taken of open the package.Side panel fitting was missing from the order.door installed side haven’t installed properly coz no fitting.4 days are gone installer not answering the phone called customer service disk they say we have to contact with installer not door stop .
