I currate the music for a three day festival for automotive sports ,drift etc You may be able to understand that I wouldn't be able to play for 10-12h/day straight so , yes , DJ studio made possible for me to cover this efficiently and getting paid for the last two years (prior to this I DID play 10 hours straight , I m still curious how I made it through!

I don't like to rely on the net I like standalone

They did reach out to me and provide me the remaining $5 I was owed for my refund....Because they did this, I Have increased my star rating... However this does not change my previous sentiments mentioned in my original rating.

However, I did want to speak to that point in their response when they reference the refund, what is considered standard practice, and the revoking of the license... I never asked for them to give me a refund... They offered this to me and I feel that they are framing this like I was the one that demanded my money back when that's not the case... Also, I don't appreciate the implication of dishonesty with their comment about 'The license being canceled to prevent duplicate use'... This absolutely sending the message that we Don't trust you and we think that you will absolutely try to use the software after we refund this money. And finally they can claim things as being industry standard, this is as I mentioned, moving the goal post as it suits the company, regardless of what that implication means for the customer.

I've made peace with the fact that nothing will REALLY change &they will continue to do what they wantdo. But this is a situation where we're going to agree to disagree and move on & I won't be back. Hopefully nobody has to go through the same ordeal.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I purchased the package that allows stem functionality for $119 last year in April. When I log back into the app earlier this week it gave me the message that in a nutshell due to 'rising costs' , the company has decided to assess a fee of $49 if I want continued support (and the price goes up to $69 if I wait till after my one year sign update).

Understandably taken aback by this as when I purchased initially it was touted that amount I paid for my license would be a one-time fee without a subscription (And if you're paying $50 a year for support, that is a support SUBSCRIPTION). I reached out to the company to voice this and essentially was told "Oh sorry but that's just the way it is."

So at that point I said I was not willing to do that and they assured me that I could continue using the app and even though I had no support, they would offer critical fixes and security. Not ideal but I could live with that.

Then I Ask them the question: How long would they offer these updates for? A very simple question ... Yet on three or four different occasions they persisted refusing to give me a definite timeframe. This didn't make sense to me until I put the pieces together: they were leaving themselves an out so that they would have no obligation for any length of time and they can stop providing these whenever they wanted to.

So when I of course objected to this thought they routed me all the way up to the co-owner of the company and in the end he agreed that to "make things right" they would offer me a full refund BUT revoke my license so I can no longer use the software ever again (unless I decided to repay at full price).

So the option would either be to keep the software without any indication of how long critical updates would be provided for... Or... take the refund and lose access to it forever unless I pay more than what I initially paid to get it back... This would be be the equivalent of buying a brand new car with the guarantee that you would receive updates to the car software for FREE....BUUUUT the company refuses to tell you HOW LONG they'll offer free updates... But to confirm you want ongoing support, you can pay a yearly subscription fee for it...wth?)

At this point I was so disgusted that I decided to just cut ties and take the refund because I just wanted to be done with it. Well TODAY I got an alert that a refund was sent for the $119 I initially paid... However, they chose a payment method that assessed a fee to send the money and as such I only received $113.66.

This is nothing but pettiness being displayed because it's very clearly stated when you're sending money via PayPal that you'll be charged a processing fee and they should have accounted for that if they were REALLY going to refund me EVERYTHING I paid.

And I'm sure $5 doesn't seem like very much money, but more than anything gets the principle That if you say that you're going to do something, then you need to honor your word.

I sent them an email to address this. I'm hoping that they'll do the right thing and send me the rest of the money I'm owed but knowing them, they'll likely take the petty route and balk over it.

So in summary, the software itself is perfectly fine and does what it's supposed to do... But the company display a habit Of moving the goal post and changing the rules to suit them.

(And after reading some of the other two and three star reviews, I've seen a couple people voice the same concerns that I have. So this isn't just a one-off occurrence with this company)...

Hi, I "try" to use it since one week now and it is annoying. It could be a really good software but each day something else breaks. You cannot trust the software to just do what it is supposed to do. Just yesterday when listening to tracks in the library trying to create a playlist, suddenly tracks are moving around and all ratings are removed and you can start from zero again... It is so frustrating that I paid nearly 200€ for a beta software which you cannot use with confidence. Before that all transitions have crackling noise. I have to manually retouch each track in audacity to normalize before using it in DJ.Studio...
At least the company seems relatively active in discord but at this point I have no motivation to use it or raise each time a ticket... Also there are so many ads via emails per day coming... I hope this gets fixed but it looks far from a finished product which you can take so much money for... Please do more testing and listen to the errors being posted.

Well even doe I had some issues running the App after Installation, I think I just witnessed one of the best Support experience for a while. Therefore a Five!

The User Experience is ahm... yea there are loads of Videos guiding you!

Great Youtube tutorials to make a decision.

I attended the entire preview course and learned a lot. I then bought the software. Unfortunately, my hardware doesn't support the STEM function and crashes. Now I have to buy a new PC :-)
But based on the course, the possibilities are practically endless.

Lots of bugs.

It was hard to install, stems won't work.
After numerous reinstalls I have decided to use something else. The app is too clunky and not at all in my taste.

I don't need a refund, I believe in second chances :)

it should be one package like Davinci Pro Video software unlimited update this you have to keep buying shit if you want it I buy once and buy no more plus it's not mouse friendly. I realized I can do the same on my video software what a waste of money smh.

DJ-Studio is echt een fantastisch programma. Door dit programma ben ik weer begonnen met het maken van mashups en remixes, na jaren eigenlijk niets te hebben gedaan. De AI beatgrid functie is super goed om oude disco nummers goed te krijgen qua beat om mee te mixen. Er zijn veel tutorials om je wegwijs te maken in het mixen en het gebruik van DJ-Studio en wat ook tof is dat je het op twee computers tegelijk kan en mag gebruiken.
Je krijgt van het supportteam ook antwoord terug van de bugs en verbeteringen hebt aangedragen, hulde daarvoor.

Typical old school dj software let you spend hours making a mix and then charge you to export then once you buy charge you again to get wav format absolute rip off.
