I wouldn't even rate it 1! Visited the site in Devon yesterday and certainly wouldn't return. I used to come here when I was a kid and absolutely loved it so I was excited to take my own sons. Barely anything was on or open, they advertise a soft play - it's just a big ball pit that was filthy and falling apart. The toilets were grim I couldn't even use them. I needed to change my sons nappy and point blank refused to change him in the baby change toilet as that was vile. Faeces smeared all over the changing unit and you can tell it wasn't recent. They should not be charging £85 for a "day out" when we left after an hour of being there because there was next to nothing running.

Excellent day- loads to do.
Excellent day- we stayed 10-4.
All 3 children loved it (ages 10, 8 and 5) the staff were amazing and went above and beyond to help to make the children happy. Loads to do, we never stopped. Entrance price is expensive £39.50 each but we did fill a full day and the kids loved it and asked to go back. We took a picnic as food/drink there is expensive too. It's a place where you need a dry day to go. Fantastic.

We visited the Durham site today and had an absolutely fantastic time. My severely visually impaired son absolutely loves diggers and the staff were truly amazing with him. For certain activities on site I politely explained his issues to the operator and they didn’t hesitate to support him so he could take part. Your staff are an asset to your company with their patience, kindness and compassion to make every child feel included. We will be back!

I think if you have a child above 90cm…
I think if you have a child above 90cm but not tall enough for most of the rides then they shouldn't be charged full price, some of the rides my nephew was practically touching the right height yet got denied going on, if they can't ride half of them then they should be at least half the adult price ticket.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We’re sorry to hear that your nephew was unable to enjoy some of the rides during your visit.
Please note that we do not offer separate tickets for children and adults. We charge anyone over 90cm for a standard admission ticket, as visitors over 90cm can enjoy 15 of our 20 rides and drives, although some of these do require children to be accompanied by an adult.
Due to the nature of our attraction, if a child is under the required minimum height for certain rides, we are unable to allow access for health and safety reasons. We appreciate that this can be disappointing, particularly when a child is very close to the required height, but these restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of all our visitors.
All of our rides and drives can be seen in detail along with the required height measurements on our website for visitors to view to ensure it is suitable, prior to purchasing any tickets.

Well what do you do with 4 autistic…
Well what do you do with 4 autistic teenagers and a 2 year old, do you go somewhere the teenagers enjoy and 2 year old sits or vice versa. No you go to diggerland where the teenagers can drive and ride all day and the 2 year old has 9 rides she can go on. Durham diggerland surpassed our expectations, all 5 had a fantastic day out, there was ample parking staff were top notch, this was easily the best day of the summer holidays, and pound for pound worth every penny. I cannot rate high enough

Diggerland - Strood - Adult individual JCB Experience
Diggerland is a Theme park all of its own, not the traditional amusement park. I booked the individual Adult JCB Experience, It's slightly away from all the main rides. Brad the instructor took me through the rigours of operating the JCB 3CX. Brad was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I had a great time. Diggerland is mainly for families, so if you go on your own, you may feel a bit of a plum walking around. So either book an 'Individual' or 'Group adult experience' or bring children. The adults looked like they were having as much fun as their children operating the diggers. I didn't see any queues for the rides. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will go again. Many Thanks

Fun rides and friendly staff
We visited Diggerland Castleford for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful time. The park was clean and well-maintained. Our children enjoyed the range of exciting rides and fun soft play. Queues weren’t very long and we managed to get on everything, some several times. The staff were extremely friendly and chatty which enhanced our experience, creating a positive and pleasant atmosphere. We definitely recommend it as a family day out. Thank you very much. The best day at diggerland in Devon. Staff were extremely friendly, really low queues and both my 9 year old and 3 year old had the best day. Only downside was that needed coins for rides.

no voucher codes work
I have made several attempts to obtain voucher codes for digger land at Castleford; however, the only code that appears to work is for The Sun promotion, which unfortunately cannot be used for bookings in August. Work commitments don't allow me to be able to go in September or October,
I also contacted your customer service team by phone to try and access the offer directly, but I was advised that this was not possible. As a result, I have been unable to take advantage of the advertised deal despite multiple attempts.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and the lack of a workable solution. I would appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this issue.

We had fantastic day at Diggerland
We had fantastic day at Diggerland Devon, we did the full 7 hours and our 4 year old loved it, it was highly interactive and for young children who love diggers, would really love it.
I must say how impressed I was with staff, they were friendly, polite and always said enjoy your day as we exited each ride or activity, considering many were young so credit to park for encouraging such behaviour with the staff members.
Although we brought our own lunch the cafe was good and I felt reasonable priced for a park, sane as gift shop, you would expect higher prices but stocked a good range of gifts to suit all budgets as well as high end bruder toys as well.
I'd love to have given 5 stars given how much we enjoyed the day, credit again it was hot and park made sure somebody was walking around with large bottle of water making sure staff who were manning rides kept their water flasks topped up and we noticed most of the staff had a water bottle close by highly important with hot weather, I did feel one staff member drinking monster energy drinks whilst supervising rides as well as placing can directly on platform where the rides were exited from I did not feel gave off the right impression in full view, personally not a fan of this and maybe better out of eye shot, again only slight minor gripe.
I can't take away we did enjoy our day and look forward to visiting again very soon, a very well put together experience.

Queues were short and well organised, with the staff ensuring queue order was followed.
The food portions were builder's sized, always a bonus when feeding the kids.

Safari Dave
Visited Diggerland at Langley Park today 30.07.26 with my partner and his grand-daughter Olivia.
What can we say, arrived just after opening time and we picked a good day to go, didn't queue very long for the rides and the staff are so helpful explaining the safety aspects of the rides and being interactive with Olivia, she even got a speeding ticket on the police car ride and she enjoyed spindizzy (a ride even if wouldn't go on).
Olivia and the rest of us had a good time with all the rides but the highlight of the day was Safari Dave, Olivia had to go that experience a total of 3 times.
The food was good too, along with the indoor activities of air hockey, the soft play area and the mini indoor JCB diggers with the football.
It was a totally good day out and now for a well deserved rest x

Safari 'Dave'
Visited Diggerland Langley Park.
Arrived a little after opening, qeued for a few minutes and straight into it!
Rides easy to get on and a great overall experience that was so good we ended up on some things twice but three times on the Safari with Dave who was gtreat fun and highly reccommend him! All the staff were great too and cafe reasonably priced.

Poor queue management
We visited Diggerland in Kent for the second time today, but unfortunately I was really disappointed by how little regard there seemed to be for queuing. Many families had one person waiting in line to "hold a place", only for several others to join them as they reached the front, walking straight past everyone who had been waiting. This made the queues much slower than they appeared, with some taking 25+ minutes despite looking relatively short.
On a hot day with a toddler in tow, this wasn't ideal. We ended up abandoning a few rides because people kept joining the queue at the last minute. It was also disappointing that the ride operators didn't seem to challenge this or make any effort to manage the queues fairly.
On a positive note, we found all of the staff to be very friendly, and we really enjoyed the rides we did manage to get on. If the queue management could be improved, it would make the overall experience much more enjoyable.

At Diggerland, we do not condone queue jumping, and it is disappointing to hear that this occurred during your visit. If our ride marshals see this happening, they will speak to the visitors involved. Additionally, had our Management Team been made aware of the situation on the day, they would also have stepped in to address the issue.

A wonderful visit with our 4-year-old grandson.
We're home from a wonderful visit to Diggerland with our 4-year-old grandson. He had the best of times for many reasons. First, the friendly and patient staff went out of their way to show him how to use the controls so he could operate the machines by himself successfully. He's tall for his age and could go on the large excavator by himself. It made his day! Second, queuing was limited. Third, he got a lot of time on the machines before it was someone else's turn. Fourth, he could enjoy a change of pace by riding the train, playing with what he calls the "tiny vehicles" or going on the £1 rides. He loved it and so did we. Thank you very much to the hard-working staff who got it right for a young child every time.

We turned up today after booking 2…
We turned up today after booking 2 adult tickets to be told we had to pay for a 3 year old £25 he was petrified of everything and within 35 mins we had to leave as he was petrified. Refunded for bairn but nothing for us so £50 for 35mins. We will never bring all the grandkids here again

Firstly, we are sorry to hear that your recent visit did not quite live up to your expectations.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the admission charges for your grandson. However, our admission policy is based on height rather than age, as children over 90cm are able to enjoy the majority of the rides and drives available at Diggerland. This information is clearly outlined on both our Tickets & Prices page and our Rides & Drives page, which includes a detailed Ride Height Chart.
When making your booking, the booking process also explains that only children under 90cm qualify for free admission. As your grandson was measured by our admissions team at just under 1 metre tall on arrival, he exceeded the 90cm threshold and therefore required a paid admission ticket. We always recommend that parents and adults measure children before visiting to ensure they purchase the correct tickets in advance.
Having spoken with the Durham management team, they have confirmed that your grandson did not want to participate in the attractions after entering the park. We are genuinely sorry that he did not enjoy the experience and that this resulted in your visit being cut short. To help guests decide whether Diggerland is suitable for their family before booking, our website contains detailed information, photographs and videos showcasing our rides, drives and attractions.
Customer service is something we take great pride in, and we are frequently commended for the professionalism and helpfulness of our staff. Following discussions with the Durham management team, we have been advised that our admissions staff and managers remained polite throughout your visit, explained our admission policies, and did their best to assist you within the scope of our policies. We also received plenty of positive feedback regarding our staff on the day of your visit from other members of the public.
While we appreciate your disappointment that you were unable to enjoy a full day at the park, we are unable to offer a refund for your admission tickets. Our policy for pre-booked tickets is outlined within our Terms and Conditions, which you would have agreed to during the booking process. The information regarding ticket requirements based on height is also clearly available on our website prior to purchase.
