The best light therapy device out there for seasonal affective disorder

I am very happy with my light ! I have lived in Alaska almost my entire life and the last several years the darkness has been pretty difficult for me to deal with. After just two weeks of using my light i noticed a considerable difference in my energy and mood. thank you for a great product!!

The Veterans Administration sent the Alaskan Northern Light box to try. What a difference in waking up! In the past I have been using medications like Provigil to help me with my difficulties waking up. Unlike a drug, the Alaskan Light box wakes you up, and you're ready to begin your day. I asked the VA to stop Provigil as it's not needed with the Alaskan Light Box! The VA provided the light box at no cost to Vets, in fact, I liked the results of using the Alaskan Light Box that I purchased, at my expense, the Auroa Light Solutions Lightpad, a product or division of Alaskan Norther Lights, it's the size of small laptop. It makes it highly portable and easy to use. I use it exclusively, and it travels well, easily fitting into a suitcase or small bag. I use it every morning.

I gave this as a gift for Christmas for a friend. They have called three separate times to thank me.
Things they said:
- Used to be groggy in the morning for two hours. Now I'm up and about after 20 minutes and one cup of tea.
- Never slept through the night during the winter. Now I sleep like a log.
- The dog even likes it.

Alaska Northern Lights Aurora Lightpad is a great device that emits a large amount of light but takes up little space. Use it in morning and helps wake me up and brighten my mood too! Usually have it held by a gooseneck tablet mount to be higher in air

I love my mini light and use it every day. I recently had an experience with it not working properly and sent it in to be looked at. I’ve had it for 5 years and received a brand new light. The customer service was fabulous

Every morning at 6:50 am I turn on the light for 20 minutes. I sleep deeper and now don't wake with total body pain. I am able to get up without dragging resistance. I am less anxious and can focus on my day.

I purchased the Aurora LightPad Mini light box last month. The Mini is compact and lightweight. I have been using it regularly and it has significantly improved my mood! I am very impressed and would recommend them to anyone wanting an effective and compact light box!

My wife and I purchased two Aurora LightPad Mini light boxes a couple of months back and we have been delighted with them. Broad Spectrum is the way to go, as they do not emit harmful UV. The Mini is compact and lightweight with the same light output (10,000 Lux) as the NorthStar 10,000 "suitcase" model we purchased a number of years ago. At that time, the 10,000 was the only choice we had, and it was great. The difference with the Mini is that it uses LEDs instead of fluorescent bulbs and is much more portable. The LEDs will last much longer than fluorescent bulbs, too. So far, so great! Each of us has our own, and they are very reliable. We recommend them to anyone wanting a top-notch, durable, and safe light box!

Product was well packaged and arrived in good shape. Assembly was easy. The light performed as advertised. It is used by my partner and she loves it. This light is the best winter light she has had. Well worth the dollars.

This light makes my day, it keeps my mind in a positive mode and

I've owned 3 different light therapy boxes, and this one is hands down and by far the best! I've been recommending it to everyone. It took a few days, maybe a week, of consistent use before I started noticing the benefits. I wake up easier in the morning now (and actually get up with my alarm instead of hitting snooze over and over). I have more energy throughout the day. My sleep schedule is more consistent. Most importantly, my mood has lifted and I genuinely feel happy again.

I will never buy another brand of lightbox and will always come back to Alaska Northern Lights. I tell everyone about this light.

I just purchased my second light box, the first one is now 8 years old and still working great! Good to see the quality, customer service and value hasn't changed.

Buyers need to be aware the LUX value of any light for SAD/mood improvement is critical. 10,000 LUX needs to REACH THE EYES. Many other lights advertise they produce it, but it's necessary to see HOW FAR AWAY FROM THE LIGHT it is measured. Alaska Northern Lights produce 10,000 LUX at 25 - 30" not 6-18" like many (even most) other light boxes. This means less time in front of the light to get the optimal "dose". Most lights on the market require a longer exposure time, as in up to three hours, to get the scientifically determined "dosage" of light. Alaska Northern Lights produce the recommended amount of light in 30 minutes. This is a medical grade product that can be trusted for many years of use.

I have felt my SADD & energy improved since since I purchased my mini Alaskan Northern light last spring. I love how convenient it is to take with me when I travel as well. Great product and price!
